Landraces of India

The lolab valley kashmir is reported to finish in 6-7 weeks , this is the main reason I acquired the strain .
True fast finishing plants that are not ruderalis have major breeding potential.

Thanks brother…
I gotta get me some of that awesomeness… :green_heart::green_heart:

Kashmir is the fastest.
Some 10 week plants are found in the Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand Provinces. Pheno hunting required to find the 10 weekers.

I was talking to a dude from India yesterday, and he told me the Kashmiri he tried was very potent.

I talk to a lot of Indian tokers on Indian Ents subreddit.

Those poor bastards. Half the time they can’t find weed worth smoking and buy “ice pots” which is some kind of trim that has so little THC that they can sell it legally. They also get the shittiest edibles you could possibly imagine.

I am not sure why India is so terrible for tokers, but the situation is pretty damn desperate over there.

to shorten flower time consider this:
start at 12/12 for 2-3 weeks then BEFORE flip give your plants a 24-36hr dark time
flower at 10hrs light and 14hrs dark
this will shorten flower time by 2-3weeks - it works !!!

I wonder what would happen if they got about 4 months of veg. Major breeding potential, indeed.

I gave them two months , topped them down to 6 inches and they still got to be 7 feet tall Indoors. If they were given four months with a less aggressive topping you would have some very tall plants on your hands.

That would be perfect.

You mean 16/8 for 2-3 weeks?
My outdoor force flowered plants have routinely finished quicker than for other people growing indoors. In the winter I run lights during daylight, when it’s easiest for me to tend to the plants.
. In spring it gets warmer and by planting time its too warm for lights during daytime. So i do a 24hr dark period to reset my light schedule so days are dark and lights are on at night. This may be the reason some of my plants finish quicker than listed flowering times
Example…my 8-10 week Cannabiogen Durbans should have gone 10-14 weeks
My 15 week Khalifa genetics Kullu should have gone 16-20 weeks
My “fast” 15- 18 week Thai plants should have gone 18-22 weeks…
Interesting. I’ll have to pay more attention.

As it is here, its all who you know. Definitely some nasty stuff being added to cannabis products over there sometimes. Certainly there’s lots of good stuff too.

NO - 12/12 for starting them till week 2-3 (veg) – will get you the info on this ! you know way better than me Sativa’s are a bit more difficult to cultivate Hey - listened to a podcact about “lovin-in-her-eyes.com” this husband and wife team have some interesting strains (Spanish Moon is one) Now-a-days one need a bill ($100.00) at least - no more single seeds from breeders (like it used to be) the one I use “Attitude Seed Bank.com” for singles and packs

Wouldn’t starting them for 2-3 weeks at 12 /12 BE “the flip” or are you flipping from 12 12 to 10/14 at 3 weeks in after that sustained dark period?

I think they are easier. No fuss. The waiting is the hard part imo. People adding things they don’t want or need has given folks the mistaken impression that they are difficult.

here is the method:

12/12 from seed
flower at 10/14 and a 36hr dark period at flowering onset for faster finish (have started sativa’s (100%) with 12.12 before, guess it comes down to stressing the plant for a faster finish in reguards to the dark period. have grown with a Red Spec (infar red, ect) flower light but any full spectrum will work. Understand and agree with what you say , but many don’t have the patience to flower for long periods or know proper feeding of. Now I know whom to ask questions for sativa strains _ Thanks

It’s like coffee in Peru. Coffee is grown there and raw beans are very cheap, but nobody thinks to roast them. Everyone prefers instant coffee. It seems like countries that produce certain products have very few people who consume them there.

Except, Ethiopia. Coffee is part of the culture. There is a ceremony performed when serving coffee that is similar to the Japanese tea ceremony.

Like Banana Republics in central america in the 1900’s - owned and grown for consumption abroad ; not for the locals

Coffee (Coffea arabica) is also native to Ethiopia, so that makes sense.

Seeds are on the way from the Nagaland connect. He sent me a mixed variety package of North Eastern varieties (not separated unfortunately) but mainly from his area. He threw in some Shillong as well.

Here’s a pic of the local “aphrodisiac” strain they call Ronda with “spicey” terps

Another pic of some unnamed variety that he got seeds from
