No, sadly Zappa has been gone for almost 25 years. December 1993.

Some of his greatest “hits”.

cool i’m just reading up on him. his dad was a chemical warfare specialist for the defense department at edgewood arsenal, where zappa spent his first 7 years. edgewood was heavily enmeshed with MKULTRA. also interesting to note is the US Navy ship which was ‘attacked’ in the tonkin gulf incident, causing the US to go to war with vietnam, was under the command of Admiral George Stephen Morrison… father of Jim Morrison… turns out lots of the musicians from Laurel Canyon area were children of the military/intelligence industry

charles manson and his ‘family’ also spent time in lauren canyon at zappas house and the house of ‘Mama’ cass elliott

Yes Sir! They were “the days”! I saw Zappa at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin in ‘72 (I think it was ‘72) Opening act was Little Feat :cowboy_hat_face:

Cool, I lived in Austin for a spell and grew up really close to there, Did you ever see Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen?

But I saw Zappa at the Majestic in San Antonio … Great and very loud show!

interesting conspiracy, 22 chapters about the weird connections and events around laurel canyon 1960s, alleging the leaders of the ‘hippie’ movement were used by the military/intelligence agencies to neutralize the anti-war movement

Joe’s Garage depicts a future in which music is criminalized.
We are not quite there yet!

Zappa described the album as a “stupid little story about how the government is going to do away with music.”[1] The story is told by a character identified as the “Central Scrutinizer” narrating the story of Joe, an average adolescent male who forms a garage rock band, has unsatisfying relationships with women, gives all of his money to a government-assisted and insincere religion, explores sexual activities with appliances, and is imprisoned. After being released from prison into a dystopian society in which music itself has been criminalized, he lapses into insanity.
