@LilJonB ya man I’m alive. I’ve been tending plants after work (17). That first Hopscotch took me 12 weeks to finish and probably could have went another one or two. It was a frustration cut. I have smoked any bud yet from the last one, believe it or not I’ve been getting stoned off the leaves. My buddies are just as surprised as I am. Never seen anything like that plant, smh. Purple purple. I’m wondering if it’s the LEDs turning it all purple. Right mix of genetics and light. Idk, nothing else turned completely purple. I might send ya a few flowers when it’s done in the jar. You’ve never seen anything like it. Be patient with her she’ll be worth the wait.

You should check out what @nefrella is doing with autos. You may change your mind. It’s impressive.

I was wondering if the type of light could be a factor. I could see it affecting the time it might take to flower, but mostly the overall yield. As far as different lights causing the a plants flowers to grow a different color then say under HID, HPS and so on. At the end of the day @Hoppy it’s not very important if she turns purple or not. I know this is what everyone wanted to see happen. She’s at 58 days today. It looks like she wants an emergency 30 day extension on her lease.
If anyone has any experience with different types of lights causing a plant to turn purple when other lights wouldn’t I would be very interested in your observations. Anything other then yield difference I’m interested.
And as you can see, my bud, LilJonB is kicking out the awesomeness, as well.

Yes sir. I agree. I’ve been reading back on LilJonB’s thread. The stuff on here is outstanding.
Really most of the stuff I’ve seen on the forum are above my pay grade, being I’m only on my second grow, but I’ve learned a lot from the shadows.

From what I have read some auto’s can be very unpredictable. Once I read this guy couldn’t get his auto to flower no matter what he did. 12/12, you name it. The whole point of me wanting to grow them is the short finish time and no need for 2 separate tents for veg and flower. If I can’t find autos that can’t finish within 75 to 90 days what’s really the point. With photos you have all the control.
I’m sure if I was to run the autos under more light then the current 12/12 they are under now I can see how they might be able to finish faster.

Oh why thanks @BigMike55. I do wish my autos have turned out better. I did learn alot. That is the only reason why they are in there just to see what was what. I don’t know if I’m going to do autos like I was planning on doing. I want to play around with them a little more this outdoor season to get better at them. I just can’t see myself wasting power growing indoors and most of my auto’s turn out like the Gelato. I have the Black Candyland and God’s Space Needle from JOTI that will more then likely be ran. We shall see. There might be some special guests. We shall see.

So are you still going to wanna run Reg Fem. y’know I made some Fem seeds recent. I let them dry a couple weeks. 2 days ago I put 5 random seeds ( some big some little) in a wet paper towel. So far 3 have sprouted. So Im calling success! Be on the lookout. Prolly get them out tomorrow.

For sure! Always love to run at least one fem as a backup in the tent.
Well @LilJonB I have two Hops going now from the F2 seeds, one is going outside and one has been topped and is staying inside. Gonna see if the lights are the factor this time. I’ve got a Cherry Dragon that’s supposed to finish red and a Raspberry Beret that’s colorful too but I think I’ll put them outside so not to affect with the lights. Gonna cut clones and do some crossing. My buddy sent a pick of his Hop that look like snow balls he’s using HPS. Extend her lease, I’m curious now on finishing time.

Oh she’s definitely here to stay. Got almost 3 months in on her. Good things come to those who wait and all. After I get the Gelato out of their I’m going to open the Hopscotch up a little more. She should like that.

Hey @MoBilly. That is a very nice and impressive microscope picture of the Northern Lights x Mazar auto. That is very interesting about the amber trichome ratio. That shot you gave us it looks like she was just to busy oozing resin rather then allowing her trichomes to turn amber! That is a very beautiful shot!

Well I got a something in the mail yesterday!
JOTI’s GODS SPACE NEEDLE!
And the BLACK CANDYLAND!
Anyone that was riding with me since the beginning of this run you know that I was wanted to run the Black Candyland. Out of 6 seeds Mr. @Floyd sent me I was not able to get one growing
. Long story short 3 didn’t make it in the mail. Two out of the three the taproot popped out of the shell and just stopped growing. I had them in a paper towel. I could see at the very tip of the taproot looked dark. Almost black. You really had to look close to see. The other seed nothing happened. Out of all the years growing I never had this much problems with paper towels. Plain white towels. No print. Nothing. I really think it was some byproduct in the towels when they were manufactured. Never again will I use those evil paper towels again. I got some Rapid Rooter cubes and have practiced with them so the issue I had will NEVER happen again. I’m very excited to grow these. The pictures speak for themselves. There is a good but of us that got the GOD’S SPACE NEEDLE that are going to try to find that pink pheno to make seeds with. I will be taking clones of every GSN to do my part hopefully we get lucky.

Your Black Candyland @Floyd was frosty. I don’t remember any close ups tho. If I’m not mistaken your photo is what made me want to grow the BC.
