LilJonB's Hopscotch Grow

Even at 1/2 pound I’d never grow it again. I gave away the rest of the pack as a bonus in a big trade and I still have an unopened one from Dutch passion stored in the fridge.

Damn that bad huh? That is Terrible. What didn’t you like about it? The taste maybe? Low THC?

Anyone got a thing for boxes. I’m not talking card board boxes. Shoe boxes, cigar boxes, I like old cigar boxes. I like cell phone boxes. There like the perfect size for alot of things. And they fit great in shoe boxes. Lol. I had a very nice hand crafted box once. I miss that one 🥲.
I know I’m not alone. My little sister would hound people for there shoe boxes. Maybe she was just using them for a project.

I can’t even remember now, I just remember how happy I was after my following grow finished so I didnt have to just smoke it anymore, I would be surprised if there’s still a jar or 2 around here somewhere

Thats pretty sweet @MoBilly!

Yeah. That sounds about right @Chronickyle. I couldn’t see it being that bad. To give it away if it was your only bud that would have been really really bad. Lol.

All the seeds I was getting off the Gelato are good after I let them sit and dry out longer. I will run a couple straight in the ground to see if the Hopscotch fixes that long stem on the leaf issue. And maybe it will shorten the flower time of the Hopscotch. It will bother me later on to wondering how bad or good it could have been.

Could be gold there in them beans

Maybe. I would just be happy if the Hopscotch corrects the issues I had with the leaves. Long stems made the plant look unruly. Also the rust looking spots. But I believe that was from over feeding.

I’m planning on using 20 oz plastic soda bottles as feeders outside this summer. Has anyone ever tried this? Maybe for just water? My question is how many pin holes should I put in the bottle? I would Imagine I would have to put more at the top and less at the bottom. Here is crude pictures I made really quick as an example.

Always wanted to try that. Have heard people using clay pots as well

Interesting.
You need:
How long do you want the water to take to release.
How much water is released in that time by one pin hole.

Measure the volume of water released by one hole in X amount of time.
Divide the amount you want released by the amount released by a single hole.
That will give you your # of holes.
You might need a few more holes to account for the kind of soil.
That’s how I’d try to estimate.

I’m going to try it so I don’t have to buy that much soil.

Thanks @MoBilly! I could try it first huh? Lol. I’m always trying to figure it out RIGHT NOW. I don’t always work like that. I will make a couple and try them out tomorrow. I know in the ground the water should not come out that fast. I wonder if I should put some kinda mix into the ground to keep the plant from drowning. It’s definitely going to be trial and error.

Yep. That it will. But interesting for sure.

I will do a little outdoor thread on it and post the results. Organic folks might be interested. They could put there teas in them.
I will put a link on here so yall don’t have to search for it.

Damn evaporation! Can’t smoke it wet tho. Trust me I know! Lol.

It’s not fully dry and I probably gave out about 15 grams before this. So I’m probably looking at just under an oz.
I did a pretty good combe thru for seeds and that little pile is what I came up with. Luckily she’s not dense so I was able to do a good job. I’m sure there is probably more but I’m sure I got more then half out. How short and compact she was when she started I would have swore her buds would have been tighter nugs but nope. Each bud was kinda like individual fox tail instead of a nug if that makes any sense. Smoke is smoke. She was just a back up anyway to the Hopscotch and the Hopscotch looks like it will make up for everything Gelato was lacking. So this run wasn’t a total bummer. I could have grown her better and learned allot so I’m not sad.

Looks better than the shitty buddage I got from the White Widow. Talk about airy! Hairy as hell bud little actual buds. The plants were pretty but a shitty harvest in my opinion.
