LilJonB's Hopscotch Grow

I think I seen a little color in a few of the stems. Purple is the color I had leak up, might be amber for you. That bud looks great, what supplement do you use? I saw “bud candy” maybe? I’ve never used a booster per se’.

There’s is a lot of purple towards the top of the branch. I have been using the Homemade BUD Candy. Epsom salt and Dark Brown Sugar. The recipe is in post 461. In the beginning I followed the recommendation for dosage. Forgot about it for a while and stayed at 5 ml per gallon. Then realized I was supposed to up it. I’ve been at 15 ml per. for about a month now. That and the flower Maxi nutes is all I have been using. Nothing fancy.

Anyone ever use this stuff?

me. I had been using it for the full grows, for a while, but someone recommended trying to start it later on, so training in veg is easier. haven’t varied my uses enough to really say

I know it makes your stalk and stems beastly. So I can see that being an issue if your training.

Usually I use a scrog net to pull branches out, but the plants tend to fight it a bit. I think thats why my net pots start tilting to one side or the other

Ive used it. Does seem to strengthen the plants. It raises PH though.

yeah shes rockin out. Agree not there yet but you start stripping her n she might ripen right up. Ive got zero exoerience in water but ive seen it a lot in soil where they stay milky with couple glassy transparent trichs n a week into flush bang they start ambering fast.

ANs flawless finish is just that too. magnesium in water. As for silica blast its silica. I think silica is best used earlier on veg and early flower as someone else said it bulks the branches for better support. But mid -late flower ive always cut it.

alright guys, yesterday ph went to 7.0. Today it’s at 4.5. I used the cal mag. She is not growing. Since I moved her that bucket is all over the place

Now its 9.0 I used a pinch of ph up

and the roots are rotten I think. A clog fell off when I picked up the lid

How high is the water temperature?

Your bud candy might be messing with your ph ?
I also made a batch fed my flowering plants a couple times but noticed swings in ph might be something to take a look at !

Water temp is 65 and I dumped that bucket cuz the ph up made the roots slimy I cleaned off a bunch of roots they just fell apart. I put tap water water cut with distilled water ph is back 6.8-7.0 pulled her out of the tent and stuck her under a florescent light. This is all the roots she has now.

ok water temp is not the culprit. What did you add to the water in the bucket before the large shifts started happening?

I have that also will be using it my next grow. I figure stronger branches equals bigger yield

I just used the same mix every time. The green bag General hydroponics. I didn’t do anything different except move it to a separate location and used a different light. I thought I was supposed to use distilled water, when @LilJonB told me to add cal mag since it wasn’t tap I did that but doing that was just a couple days ago. The problem started in that tent. I added ph up two hrs ago cuz the ph dropped from 7 to 4.5 and that raised it to 9. So I dumped it cleaned of those slick feeling roots washed the roots and pot off

Eeek! It’s not getting better huh? That’s terrible. The only time my roots was like that is when I was using the Myco + ( supposedly promotes root growth and will never use it againin my buckets) and the Micro from the Flora series. I’m really sorry this is happening. I can see how @JoeCrowe would think it was high water temps but you have always reported low water temps.
Didn’t you say a while back that you tried some root stuff that was frothy in your bucket? Was this around the time you started seeing a change in your roots?
Yeah if your not using tap your going to need the Cal Mag.

I don’t think @Hoppy is using the Bud Candy. That’s me. :smiley::wink:

That’s the Idea. I’m hoping I can push her to finish. So stripping the leaves will help? I know people say Supper Cropping sometimes helps. So stripping could cause some stress for her to want to finish.
The silica is for the next grow I want to try out. Bigger branches = Bigger Buds. At least in my brain it = up. My cousin ordered it yesterday. That was fast!
