I gotta rip to the sponsors in a sec here but perhaps your plants used up more water and left highly acidic fertilizer in solution decreasing the ph. going from ph 4.5 to 9.0 isn’t healthy for the plants, that for sure. I’ll be back in a couple hours to chat more if you need!
82 wet, i think will be close to 30 dry. If it’s fairly dense @LilJonB . Its usually a third for me. I’ll hate to see her go. But I am excited too. I’m guessing 140 gms dry. Sorry bern building a deck around my pool.
I know he was having trouble with the ph before the Cal-Mag. The whole Cal-Mag thing came up 3 days ago when I realized he was using bottle water. That’s when we all got a look at the roots.
Do you think we could get new growth in there for him? Or dose it look to far gone?
You think the roots could not be receiving enough oxygen?
The buds are really dense. I doubt I will get a zip per branch. If I do the wait for her will have been more then worth it.
What air pump are you using Hoppy?
Seeds are going out tomorrow guys. I finally got a good return address. Sorry it took me so long. It’s funny after I find a good return address my buddy hits me up. Good to know he’s still alive. Life is weird.
Yeah. Im no pro but in my limited experience once they start getting stripped theyll ripen more. And your brain has the right ideas. just rely on common sense. Bigger branches can hold more and allow more flow. = bigger buds. Probably be a lil heavier on nutes but thats cause the plant will be using em up quicker and putting them to work.
Do you have an air gap between your basket and water level. I had a similar issue my first run with hydro. my plants were drowning and roots looked same way. Leaves started to die out. Dropped water level and started to recouping, I use the dry general hydro products, I also use mico , straight tap water , silica blast , cal mag plus , no issues other than massive root growth. Also when you change out the bucket water being you have slime. Use peroxide, kill off the bacteria causing the slime. Sterilize it. I also periodically add to the water to keep any nasties out of the water
No more nutes. I’m actually getting ready to do a change out and give her straight PH water. I hope this will also push her in the right direction.
A big question that wat always on my mind come flush time is “is it necessary to ph your water during flush?” The answer is yes according to Richard Bray. He claims that a PH too high or low makes Salt and Aluminum more available to the plant.
Im no water man but i think h202 will give them an immediate boist of oxygen and rid some of the browning. Molasses clogs things up its more a soil thing to feed microbes with. But im far from a seasoned grower with absolutely no experience in straight water except the ezcloner. But h202 helps in there. Ive left clones 3-4 weeks without adding anything or checking water ph and pulled out 2 ft white roots. I thought theyde die by then but no food or nothing they were healthy.
You know I wasn’t thinking about that. I know that can cause issues.
It saddens me when someone tries something for the first time expecally when under my direction. I must have been really lucky. This is my 4th run and only ran into minor issues. Never had nothing die anyways.
I ph it cause im in soil so i want to strip the soil too. Keeping in range for everything to be available keeps the plant working. But on the other side of the coin if ph is out it should cause instant lockout so it has to feed on itself. Therefore stripping itself.
@repins12 helped me figure it out when I first went hydro. Usually about an inch below the basket. I had my drains too high in the trough system, lowered them took about a week and they bounced back. I don’t think I have pics on this journal. I started on ilgm my first grow , but was sick of the limits and was invited to join here , I’m no hydro pro either , I’m learning every day and read a lot and learn all I can , long time grower just fairly new to hydro and so far so good
