Thanks heaps for the suggestions guys it’s really appreciated, @Budderton could you suggest a good forum mate? I’d love to join and learn.
I don’t have any experience with mycology so I have a lot to learn! And thanks for the offer of the print man it’s really appreciated. Once I’ve got things going and am confident I may hit you up down the track if that’s cool. But to start off I’m going to have a go at growing lions mane as they’re really good for neurological growth which could be both interesting and beneficial for me!

What country do you live in that makes all the difference. The shroomery.org is by far the best and friendliest mycology site there is IMHO. Also mushroommanmycology.com he is good and lots of freebies. I have a few prints I can send. Also prints are very legal to send through the mail unless in Georgia, Idaho, forgot the last state.
Walmart send grow boxes for edible mushrooms also there is boom boxes but learning to do it all yourself is the way to go .

Right on @Cranio . I’ve read that a daily micro dose of Psilocybin mixed with Lions mane is very beneficial by creating new neural networks. I also find a good “hero” dose 7-14 grams to be good for seeing all sides and working through personal trauma.
I think Shroomy is the big forum. That’s were I learned the basics. I never joined and traded genetics, but I understand a lot of that goes on there. Much like Overgrow! For sure, when you get confident and are ready to give it a shot, hit me up and I’ll send some spore prints down.

That is a nice looking fruit. Sterilized swabs are one of the best ways to pick up spores from print and transfer to agar. Use to make own sterilized swabs or can buy on Amazon for cheap. Also use those same swabs to take spore swabs from mushrooms. Especially ones that don’t drop a lot of spores swab them put to agar.

what weight of shrooms can you get in 00 size capsules? @Bobgrows I want to be able to put 2.5 to 1/2 grams in capsules

The max I got in one is .4 grams

I’ve gotten .5 but had to use a chop stick to pack the bottom and top. Takes long time maybe 000 size? Otherwise .4 like @bobgrows

So decided to start new runs of John Allen.
I noc’ed up 3 with Ms(multi-spore) from print with sterilized swabs. 2 are t2 from other plates and 2 got colonized grains dropped on them. Let’s see how this goes

Ive run John allens multiple times. They are one I keep coming back too. Even with penis envy, melmak, albino penis envy and other stronger varities. So there is definitely something there.

I know this is a long shot but does anyone have a melmak swab? I don’t have any cultures left and I didn’t keep any swabs. Idiot

I must’ve watched NP too many times to count. My cousin used to act just like Kip whenever we’d go out in public. I couldn’t stand the movie at first, but it quickly grew on me.

So, the 3 shoeboxes fruited. Ive been super busy lately so didn’t have much time to upload pics. But here we go…first pic is from 2days before harvest

After cleaning them up/removing the coco coir, and drying, I ended up with a bit over 2oz from the first flush. There’s a bunch of little ones I didn’t weigh, and I didn’t weigh the blobs either. I’m gonna say roughly around 2½ oz. Not too shabby for 1½ pint of spawn per Shoebox. The white lid SB wasn’t included as that one is a little older and not in sync with the other 3.
