My Bubble hash making tech

ok I am busy cranking out a test batch! I discovered my drill was shorted out on the “forward” side of the switch, so I changed it to reverse and it works superb! I will do all sorts of things to this test batch. Lightly pressing the hash changes nothing when it comes to the color, except for the freeze dried hash. When it’s white and pressed you can’t see through it anymore so it seems darker when the trichomes are packed and opaque.

I’m really going to try drying it out as quickly as possible! You will definitely see a different color in the end. I mean lighter color than shelf drying for a week. Oh more details, I micro planed(if that’s what you call making it into tiny bits) it and put it in the dehydrator at 70C. ENJOY!

almost done…tapping the timer impatiently I gotta…get…to dabbin! 13 min left until dab time!

ok! It went from this:

to this:

Took 45min at 70C… dabbing time!!! sparkles!!! wheeee!!!

here’s the data:

Even though they are the same hash they look vastly different now.

oh yah the smaller bit I pushed on and pressed out the water to show it made no difference. The drying method makes all the difference in the color!!!

tomorrow I will start the freeze drying cycle. Right now, I have a bit of hash I am going to freeze dry, in the bag still hanging on the shelf. Once the water dries on the bag I put the whole thing in the freezer to complete the cycle. hah hah I bet you are thinking I’m insane already, that’s not how you freeze dry something dummy! mmm just wait, the joke will be on you…

oh I forgot the reason I let the water dry on the bag first is because if you don’t the bag is crusty and takes a long time to freeze dry it holds lots of water. So if you just eject the hash onto a parchment and put it in the freezer you don’t need to do that step heh heh.

ok freeze drying is happening now. In 24 hours I should be able to rip it. The longer you leave it, the more transparent it becomes. What I’m going to do is take a photo then put it back in, so everyone can see how it works.

Looking forward to the results prof chaos

Interesting thread - your tech looks spot on, I can almost taste those dabs looking at your photos here. Thanks for sharing.

one of these would be helpful in this aspect of your technique it seems, to remove all of the sticks and stems quickly before freezing:

usually I just cut the buds off the stem and into the freezer bag. As long as there are no fan leaves <–fuck leaves, and all stems are 2cm lengths. Some joker put some 10cm stems in the second to last batch, so I had to toss the stems in the trash when they got wrapped around the cake mixer. Thus the reason I never allow leaves in there. They get wrapped around the mixer as well. Sometimes the trimmers just pull the buds off the stem and put them in the bag.
I call the process “bagged and tagged” and I’ll do that to an entire crop which will result in 125 grams of hash, and that takes hardly any time, compared to trimming some lame ass nugs.
heh heh just imagine the bucket process you pictured except it’s a human hand stripping the buds.

been there - done that

heh heh hold onto your hats… we got some more photos! You can see now, there is no color ring on the outside of the quick-dried hash.

also, it has a million bubbles inside from water vapor.
Microscope view is incredible, check it for yourself!

After ripping some I would say it’s pretty nice.

so, now you can see method number one of color preservation, extreme drying! It’s not AS good as the freeze dried, but it’s close! I mean the color heh heh.
ok so I made the huge chunk into tiny pieces then tossed it in the dehydrator at 70C, in 45min it’s being dabbed onto hot knives. You can see the tiny pieces melted together into larger blobs. I should have taken the photo right after cutting it up into tiny bits…oh well. I think you know what I’m talking about.

Now the freeze drying process is underway like I promised. I just put it in and it looks like this:

There’s probably a tablespoon there. I know what you’re thinking… Why that shit doesn’t look any different. Yah, it’s not dried yet. Just you wait…

lol just to spoil the fun, it’s all about delta-T as in Time. Oh…well I guess waiting around for the magic to happen isn’t fun at all.

man, whoever reads this thread should be able to crank out prize winning shit afterwards with no real special equipment. If you can’t do it - I weep for you.

woah…the gnar. The cut up and dehydrated hash sure is a fresh terp salad. Perhaps I’ll make a universe game theory for the different forms of hash, see if I can get a pattern of goodness. I should work up some columns like this: speed, terps, color, melt…rrrrhhmmmm terps is subjective it depends on what you prefer I 'spose. LOL I suppose only the speed, melt and color are any value you can “see”. I’ll make a terp description along with if it burned my tongue. I don’t usually terp sneeze…but hey - the terpiest shit can do it…crawls up in your nose like some kind of serpent.
