My Bubble hash making tech

look, ma! I’m doing it! I finally rescued myself from the norse afterlife and once I was free, made some hash. It’s a shitmix of all the weed I had in the freezer heh heh. Tastes sort of like Piña colada.

Man that is sudsy!

What do you think that is/means?

Mine got really sudsy too when I made it… I figure its lipids or something coming out… I don’t foliar feed or use yucca or any surfactants

well if no bubbles form, I’m not mixing fast enough. If I mix too fast, the bubbles get so frothy it’s like beating egg whites.

Made a batch the other day, after drying weight was 1.65g from 14g of sugary trim. Im wondering if that is a good yield?

yah it’s decent for sure. If you go way way back in this thread, I actually do a wet/dry weight to hash yield comparison. Probably a couple hundred posts back there

I’ve made like 4 small batches now. I want to keep doing small batches as practice before my next harvest, how many times can I extract the same material?

You can get at least two good extractions before it’s got loads of plant material. I do two. The more extractions you perform the more plant material will wind up in there. Same with if you beat the living shit out of your plant material.

Yeah, I saw that above. I’m going to try some gentle lovin

Oooooh wee! Been working it

On the left mix of gg4x og kush and fruity pebbles 3 x purple kush, yielded nicely, on the right is the cream mandarine plant thats been sitting forever, made some orange tinted hash, was mostly in the 25 micron bag.

And last year i had intended to get bubble bags and never did, but I fresh froze my zkittlez trim and ran it… omg does that look gooey and tasty. I tried a little and it just bubbles and tastes delicious. It melts between my fingers…

Went to smoke a little and it just melted to goo as I pulled it off. Holy shit I’m never dry trimming again.

The white stuff is the best! It’s proof the buds were harvested and frozen fresh.

My fresh frozen was my darkest funny enough. It did sit in my freezer for a solid year though too. I’m guessing that when you harvest will effect your color too, right?

ohh did you rinse the green out with water?

Whatcha mean?

in the end when you are running the material through the screen and get the hash, I take it and run lots of water through the hash in the bag to get most of the water soluble colors out so it’s white instead of green fresh from the bag.

So I started using my sink sprayer on cold to get it all together… I’m guessing I should rinse longer? Or like a dip and soak in fresh water?

I rinse the hash until it’s just pure water flowing through, no green tinge left.

FYI this is @JoeCrowe, aka no ordinary Joe, he does not run a little at a time, far from it actually, you may not see as much green tinge to begin with, unless of course you are running trash and beating the hell out of it maybe

yah I gotta admit it does come out it’s whitest with the forever frozen tech. These pillow-like piles are to die for. It’s like inhaling a little puff of love.

I’m gonna be using the forever frozen tech from now on to make the freeze dried hash. Turns out even overnight drying of the bag joins some of the hash together into a lump. It’s got to be cut into tiny bits on parchment and then popped into the freezer ASAP. Then it comes out as powder. You don’t really have to make the hash at sub zero temps though, but make sure your water is a nice ice-water bath.
