Got my new grow light in today.
Ìt works great, lt pegged my light meter to 2000 at 24" away from my plants . Not bad for an $80 lightLooking good, they sure do seem to be responding to the light!
Thanks @HeadyBearAdventures.
You’re doing great, but I wanted to point out that meter isn’t an accurate measure. It’s not lumens w LED. It’s micromols. I thought a cheap light reader would work that had PAR readings, I was mistaken. I had to buy a PAR micromol meter. I decided to go w the cheapest one, since most are 200+ and it works well. As you gain more experience, it will help to know you’re light reading to get maximum penetration and intensity down in your canopy to get the density members are referring to
Ok, thanks @OriginalDankmaster96 I’ll keep that in mind.
It’s ok @CornbreadJunior , I did it for the both of us .
That reminds me… I haven’t done a tomato cage grow in a while…
Cheers

Ok day 52 veg update.
Topped my two big Afghan F1 on Tuesday and they are already back to the same height lol
I also thinned a bit. Hope I didn’t take to much.lmao
Also rearranged my grow space.
Those are going to be pretty huge it looks like! When do you plan to flip them? Be aware that they will experience a growth spurt when you go 12/12, you don’t want them to hit the ceiling!
Nice and healthy looking lady
Not sure ATM . Was gonna put them in my greenhouse in March but they are getting pretty big not sure if I can hold out that long. Lol
Thanks. I think this first grow is going good.
Day 59 in veg. My two big Afghan F1 have grown a bit
So my I have a
They are still in veg, but it looks like they are already showing their sex? Let me know if I’m wrong but they look females to me
If anyone else knows let me know .
Looking good in there
3rd closeup picture, this one node looks like it’s forming a male pollen sac. I’m not saying for sure it’s a boy, just keep an eye on whatever plant and node that was, if you can find it again.
I’ve had this same thing happen with photos in 1 gallon pots. Around day 25-ish, the males started showing sex. I panicked and thought for some reason that Ancestral Skunk was autoflowering, or the seeds from it that I was growing then, so I asked around. The concensus seemed to be that when a photoperiod gets root bound, they will go into flower, especially the males. Not always, but it does happen.
Nice to know, thanks for the info. I’ll keep an out on the node. Thanks @Banquo .
Yeah pic one looks girly, I agree with Banquo that one looks iffy and needs to be watched, shouldn’t be too much longer before they produce pistil if they are girls then you will know for sure
