My tomatoes hated organics. I gave them 5-15-14 with calimagic and they loved it.

Hav any of you guys ever grown in straw? I am giving it a shot, I have 4 in 2 gallon pots, stuffed with straw, and just a bit of soil on top. Posting pics in my journal thread.

When i mix pots i put straw on bottom middle and top of pot. Along with it mixed into the soil mix. Carbon is amazing in the soil.

Yes, literally cramming straw. In a 2 gallon pot, and very little soil…just enough in the center to hold the clone.

If it works well, and during veg it outpeforms the soil, by allot. But we see after flowering. They do take allot of water.

Very cool! I’ve grown vegetables in straw bails before with some senior citizen friends. The tomatoes LOVED it…
