Gotta say one of the things I love about this spot is everyone providing helpful insight on all of those cheaper lights. Most folks you talk to tell you theyāre shit from one end to another, Iāve had good experience with spider farmers so far and am just happy that folks are doing the work to figure out good budget lights since not everyone has the coin to drop on HLG

I donāt think any of the ācool kidsā even say the word āchanā unless theyāre talking about Jackie. Reddit is the nerdiest I can do and thatās only in small infrequent doses. As far as I know the chans are like if you took the neckiest beards from reddit, injected them with ultra doses of anime/sci fi/animal porn and self importance and then gave them even more anonymity to get weird behind, with a focus on outweirding the previous āanonā. I could be completely wrong but Iām not going to find out.

I am waiting on an XS4000 to show up (its touring the country evidently). Thats the next level above the P4000. Supposedly more red / better for flowering. Same footprint and layout as the P4000, different LEDs, more of em tooā¦
I think HLG is some really high end stuff. And laugh when people insist you need ONLY the best to grow. (sure, it helps!). But I grew under fluorescents, under CFL bulbs, 70W MV bulbs, 175 MH bulbs long before moving to 250/400w MH. I can honestly say my weakest LED is still WAY better than the best setup I had before moving to MH back in the day. Bonus is much less heat as well. But I have bought some REALLY shitty LEDs too, basically $40 for 2 small, 12x12 lights. Well no doubt they canāt hold a candle compared to the brightness of MH, Viparspectra or SF. These $40 LEDs are the ones that really donāt grow anything (I had put sprouts under em, holy stretch! Thought I went back to fluorescents! Ya live and learn thoughā¦ Blurples work better than those cheap LEDs.
I have a Mars Hydro TSL2000 in the 3x3, and while I like it, love the ability to move the ballasts out of the tent, the construction isnāt quite the same level as the Viparspectra. Still a great budget option IMHO.

Oh, totally, me tooā¦ I definitely didnāt spend Thanksgiving having my beard pulled and being called āuncle.ā On the plus side, Iām still healthy enough that Iām the only one the kid didnāt get sick in the whole house.

I sprung for an HLG 225 for my 2x2.5 and Iām happy with it, super bright, and actually throws enough heat to keep the tent at a good temp through the winter in my unfinished basement, but itās damn near a COB in terms of it being basically a single point of light, so Iām realizing I wouldāve been better off with something like the viparspectra providing a larger overall light source. Definitely got suckered into buying what I could afford from the high dollar manufacturer vs. what makes sense from a more budget oriented one

I do like HLG I run a full spectrum in my 24 x 24 inch tent works great ! Very happy with it
I did spend a bit on my California lightworks 500 full spectrum itās also a great light but if it goes Iāll replace it with HLG
Iāve used Mars hydro for years love them , customer service sucks but mine lasted 5 years of continuous use

Yo Nages I got some questions for you since you recently did the pollen thing and Iām sure did your homework on it.
If you had some pollen in the freezer and it somehow fell on the floor overnight is it ruined?
Follow up question for no particular reason- if it would ruin the pollen, do you have any more BC pollen?

Did you open it? or just put it back? not the best for it, but if you didnāt open it, chances are moisture wasnāt introduced, and is ok. Opening it is 50/50. If its dry, and your RH in the house is low, probably not too big an issueā¦

I second the mars hydro. they are getting better all the time. I have a tls2000 in a 2x4 for 2 years now zero issues and keeps me in meds.
