Nagel420 - Third Times A Charm!

Seems pretty dialed in. My guess is Alaskan Purple is a bit of a heavy feeder, but 1/4-1/2 strength nutes weren’t quite enough for her and the soil amendments keep you from pushing it higher.

Maybe someone smarter than me has another theory ?

Thats why I was thinking viral, its literally the one plant, and cuttings from it. Nobody else is affected. I’ll keep looking for answers, figured the cuttings, being planted in fresh soil, would be ok, but it took only a few weeks and it showed on them too.

On other, GOOD news! We definitely have some balls on the eXe reversed Black Cream Auto! And HE is bouncing back nicely! Now if he can make me some viable pollen, we’re all set!

I know you love those purple ones  Definitely be some flowing your way!

Oh I hope I see some pollen dust start flying! I’m praying that the quick reversal and vigorous new growth means viable pollen to come  positive thoughts, ya know?

Updates! Updates! Get yer updates here!

This morning we had a development in the love shack.

The eXe reversed black cream has made some powdery goodness, and has plenty more in store! Obviously I didn’t waste the opportunity to grab a tiny paintbrush and start playing the part ot the busy little bee  I think it was 6 or 7 sacs that popped open this morning, looks like more on deck for later today / tomorrow, so I guess its pollen collecting time!

@Rabeats2093 Check this out. The variegated BBH has barely thrown any pistils, but the sister certainly has… Do notice the right green branch on the variegated, its one branch that has no variegation at all, just green leaves. The rest of the plant is variegated, and certainly slower flowering compared to her sister. Her sister does have a few yellow streaks from the variegated gene, not many but you can see two smaller streaks in this pic.

Now who wanted some auto pollen (fem) again? I’m sure he’ll produce plenty to go around to a few auto breeders…

Oh and the ladies who got dusted? a few Black Creams, a Blueberry Jack Herer and a Northern Lights (all autos), plus that oddball Tropicana Poison F2 that has an identity crisis. Goal is more black cream seeds, but that Tropicana Poison has some nice purple coming in, though its rather short in stature. Curious if the height of the BC will transfer. And really wanna pollinate the variegated, but there’s maybe 4 pistils showing on it if I look super hard, so not yet… But I did pollinate her sister

(nagel’s doing the happy dance here)

Ahh… Let the hunt begin. Found the first male in the photo tent last night. Blue Cookies. Sneaky guy, trying to cozy up with the ladies. He’s been moved to the love shack temporarily (now it feels wierd calling it the love shack with two dudes chillin in there). If there’s any interest, I might collect his pollen and share. Not planning any photo crosses anytime soon though, so if no interest I might collect a little for safe keeping, but his days are numbered…

Hmm… Found this tin yesterday while in my attic. My best guess is at least 12-13 years old, but could be as old as 20 (very likely). Attic definitely goes thru its cycles, cold as ice in the winter, hot as hell in the summer.

I can guarantee it wasn’t anything crazy. Researching the tin, I come up with pre-2006. My guess its not brown frown seeds/shake/stem weed, likely some kinda mids.

So… not exactly a landrace, but possibly less hybridized than current seeds, yes? Thinking on tossing some in Johnny P’s seed starter and seeing if any pop. More from curiousity than anything else.

If there old
Put them in the freezer for a day ( learned this from an OG here can’t remember who )also it you smoke your seeds a splash of hydrogen peroxide

In the freezer they go! they’ve endured lots of freeze cycles up there I am sure LOL. Some nice fat tiger stripes in the tin too… If these actually pop, I’m re-writing the book on seed storage ideas considering the annual temperature extremes for 15 years.
