Yeah, you may end up with a better end product if you simply wait til after harvest to improve the reservoir insulation. YMMV

Going to go fill up some gas cans for my generator in case we have a power outage.
I doubt its strong enough to run everything but i can keep the pumps and fans going for sure.
Hard to imagine hail when it feels like 40c out!
I think the biggest concern with a power outage and a system like mine is ive read that the plants will basically be drowned in a matter of hours if the air pumps/water pump stops running.

This is the stem of that bud it must of got damaged some how but I don’t remember doing anything 
At this part the stem started growing into a oval shape instead of a circle.

As far as I know it’s just a growing mutation that happens once in awhile. I don’t believe it effects anything but appearance.

I stir the solution in the bucket every 24 hours with a stick to keep the plants alive during power outages. It’s really low tech and works. I survived 36 hours with no power just a flashlight and a stick, so I can see what I’m doing when I stir the buckets.

I gotta be honest I’m not too interested in growing outdoors so I’ve left these out of my log. This is the only spot really on my property where I had room for a few plants and they don’t get nearly as much direct sun as I’d like but they are doing alright.
