Thank you for printing and providing details. Very much appreciated! Is this with the first layer set to 0.10mm?

what if you made the interior of the puck that holds the seeds concave like a bowl to accommodate the larger sized seeds? this might afford more space in the interior while maintaining the rigidity necessary to remain crush proof? also might help with rattle/packing/wadding?

The concave shape would reduce the number of seeds you can use, as you would have decreased clearance as you move to the outer edges. Also, I have the bottom of the puck as thin as possible, so making it concave wouldn’t increase the seed clearance in the center. The quadrant design allows quite a bit of stability. I can put my weight on the puck without it collapsing.

i just scrolled up and saw the picture of your “medium” puck and realized concave is pointless.

Can you do something like this where the top slides over the bottom? This is just a basic conceptual design showing tapered ends. I don’t know how rigid it would be like this.

I’m sure it’s possible, but you’re still going to be dealing with the same issues/constraints of thickness, seed clearance, noise, etc. I’m also dedicated to the design I’ve been working on.

Hey bud, I’m going to be giving away pucks and puck loaders tonight in the free seeds and clone thread. Just a heads up.

I encourage anyone that has a printer to try out @bluelizard design. I don’t really feel it needs any changes based on what I saw.

50+ small seeds
30-40 medium
15-25 on large seeds

It snaps together tight and even comes apart easy enough to not blast seeds in every direction. It weighs almost nothing and the medium version I printed is well under 5mm.

Oh ya, I gonna run some today for sure.

I was thinking more along the lines of seeds not popping out when you open the puck.

We can do those. In open cavity or with a # of holes - openings.
@Coda
We are now back working.
These are some we’ve done.
We do all our own designs.

What’s with the green and purple pants? Lol

To reduce seed rattling in pucks, i add a little bit of cotton ball that i flatten to fit.
