Ok Ok, here's the deal with Rand

I’ve got some orange tasting stuff if you want. Like classic Cali orange.

Wow the generosity of the people on this board never ceases to amaze me! Hard to say no to seeds, but I also don’t have anything to off back yet. Believe me, when the time comes, I will be doing some F2(+) and crosses to give back! Even if it’s going to start as a bonsai breeding tote(s)

Dude, I admitted my mistake and have taken action to correct the problem! Maybe be a little quicker on the uptake or follow along better before commenting…my two cents is all

Idk how I missed this! Thanks!

I got my hands full right now. The last site I was on didn’t want people trading anything. They wanted you to buy everything from the sponsors. I agree with supporting the sponsors when you want to buy something but not overpriced stuff. Oh and my bad dude, I’m might be a little extra raw cuz someone around me must have grown a male and let shit fly. So now I have a bunch of… seeds and little buds. All my work ruined.

Sorry bro, I wasn’t trying to be a dick. Have a good one. Hope I didn’t upset you.for all I know you could off grown him outside and brought him in when he was spraying. I have poor impulse control sometimes.

This board rocks! I don’t remember seed trading/gifting like this back on the old OG, but it was also a different world back then.
All that said, I want to say, I’m not here to ask for seeds. I don’t have anything to offer in return now, but Hopefully I will in the future and continue passing on the generosity and genetics.

No worries…me too, on the impulse control!

Ok, some updates on the OUTDOOR plants and their seed making status. As anyone following along is well aware of, I’m new to growing outdoors AND growing for seed production versus flower development. Not that I’m very experienced in the latter, as I’m fast finding out here on some of my other endeavors, which I’ll post about at another time, though another member of this site, who lives close so we’ve exchanged numbers, gets the “911 texts” and so they know who they are and PROPS to them talking me off the ledge, so to speak! Ooh, thrilling intrigue! Stay tuned for the ongoing saga that is RAND trying to sustain life! AHHHHH!

But I digress…

So the 2 pregnant Herijuana ladies outside are performing differently, to say the least. One has amazing branching and colas and is almost tipping over and the other has weird flower/seed development and odd off coloring. Not on all of it but a bunch and the areas most afflicted are the areas that WERE right next to that BODACIOUS BOY.

So, first the good specimen and her seeds popping out.

And another seed popping out like the image above

So my question is, IS IT REALLY AN INDICATOR THAT THE PLANT AND THE SEEDS ARE MATURE WHEN I START TO SEE SEEDS POPPING THEMSELVES OUT?

And now for the other plant and her affliction…

Just weird looking seed and flowers!

So IDK if you can see but the difference between the two plants, which are cuts from the same lady, have big differences between how the majority of their seeds are maturing. The one has nice buds with seeds busting out in some spots. The other has browned buds that look like they got themselves and the seeds within burned or excessively browned! I popped one of the cooked looking seeds open and they were white and immature. So…the other has clearly visible striped and mature looking seeds! What do you folks think?

Thanks for following along and of course the goal is lotsa seeds for the community! Its Herijuana x (Black Widow x Sensi Star). Should be some good stuff in there somewhere!

Hope all your worlds are GREAT!

No, they do that when they are decent swollen or are near fullsize but that doesn’t mean the seeds are mature, the simple test is to pluck one and see split it open if you have too, but typically the plants are usually done “or past normal harvest window” before the seeds are, id still say you have a ways to go, and another indicator is when they are dark and easily come off the plant with little to no plucking.

Thanks man! I am in the dark on this so the input from peeps who KNOW is MUCH appreciated! I figured being Mid September that they would be too early, I’d think the end of October might be closer to the right date…?

middle to late October around here but usually I just say the day before the first frost.

All good info to know! Is there a issue with leaving the plant until it starts to die and dry on its own Like it would naturally? Or would too many seeds already drop out to the ground by then?

Good question! I do not know the answer to it, though!

Hmm, I guess it kinda depends on conditions, just speculating here. if it’s too humid/moist and it doesn’t dry fast enough as the plant diess, it could mold and hurt the seeds. Or if the birds in the area are familiar with hemp, they may know to start chowing down.

I certainly think I’m getting what you’re saying. I am NOT trying to let them go to shit now that they’ve gone so far, so Ive been peeping their game, so to speak, along the way! Plus, I have that big males roots in the raised bed still, and I’m trying to utilize the soil microbes to not only dispose of the roots but add some nutrients and such to the soil! My big interest in this outdoor bed is working the living soil Ive got and BELIEVE ME, its a work in progress! The two Herijuana prego girls are showing some deficiencies but Im working it and hoping that the next run will be a little healthier! Again, this is all my FIRST VOYAGE down this rabbit hole but its one Ive enjoyed working thus far!

I was more thinking out in text lol, I don’t know either, I just know that seeds from vegetables And other flowering plants, there’re usually left until it’s dried naturally. But then things like berries are harvested when they are fully ripe, and usually need to be passed through a bird or soaked in acid before putting into the fridge to simulate winter before they will sprout.
