I like cheeseburgers
Me too, especially after hitting some vintage weed!
Seriously there’s something about this old weed that is different. It’s two years old.
…and you are two years older.
Hmmmmmmmmm…
I know a guy who cured for 3 years and smoked it…
Let me tag him @iceman , bro
Yes, it was my 1st grow. Northern lights. Grew a few other plants in between but kept these buds because they felt special.
Smoked and tasted great and was still potent af even after 3yrs!
This gives me hope for my 2x 5 gallon buckets of 3 year old outdoors
Give it a try and let us know. The best way to describe this two year old stuff is mellowed.
I tend to prefer newer weed (especially with fuel smelling strains) but there are some that can def benefit from a longer cure. It’s cool to smell a strain when it’s first put in jars then a few months later it smells completely different. Some smells are gone, some change/merge with others.
Before my previous grow I had some shit that was hanging in a tent not even bagged up for like 2 years. It was brown af and I didn’t smoke it but it was interesting to see that it still had moisture and smelled very strongly of berry. I think specific smell/tastes in weed are more susceptible/resistant to temp/the air/etc. Maybe those are the less volatile ones, who knows.
I’ve grown a couple strains that have the same father and some phenos would go from weird grape smell and fuel to black cherry like and little to no fuel (I find fuel dissipates faster than anything else)
If I find myself with way more than I can smoke in a reasonable time I’ll just vac seal and throw it in the freezer when it’s at the point in curing that I like for that specific strain or pheno. I’ve frozen shit for long term and if you let it get to room temp for a few hours (I like overnight to be safe) before opening it will be pretty much the same as when you put it in. Don’t open the bag too soon though or you could make moisture condensate directly on them and when you smoke it will sound like you’re smoking crack lol.
Getting a weird high? A little "peaky’?
Probably CBN. That’s what THC degrades to.
I noticed the same thing with a jar a few years old I found in the back of the cabinet… At least that’s what I attributed it to…
Cheers

I definitely prefer fresher weed. Lucky for me I don’t “overgrow” to the point where I have too much excess, I tend to run low on supply just before the next harvest with little to no overlap.
Don’t you people have friends or family that enjoy your homegrown?? Do that weed a favor and give it a loving home if you can’t smoke within a year, or two, or apparently three, lol
I give so much away it’s staggering. I just fill jars and forget about them
recently i prefer just straight out of the drying tent.
although if you cure for that long (6 months +) it should be decarboxylated almost in its entirety.
I have a one ounce bud of Some Swazi that I wrapped in a cured corn Husk and wrapped with thread and sealed up in a vacuumed seal bag that’s been in the dark sealed in a clay Kimchi jar. Will roll a one ounce joint out of it for my birthday this year it’s over 6 months old
I vibe with this sentiment big time, fresh greasy OG types where the fuel jumps out of the jar. fresh chemdog smelling like wet dogshit you can almost feel the heat coming off it. delightful!
Most likely a sedative calming smoke due to the CBN as @Gpaw said.
I have some vegetable glycerin tincture that is probably three or four years old at this point and it is night time only medicine. Don’t you have a jar to shake?
If you have any more of those MTF seeds, what would it take to score a few? SS/BW…mister
I’m shaking it I’m shaking it! It’s almost ready I think
