yes i was thinking something more like this, 5CFM 1/3 HP about $125, although this would probably suck out some pollen lol
Implode the jar if you get cheap ones! LOL
here we are at Week 3 of the Pennywise - the 5 ladies will be expected at the Pollination Ball later tonight. There’s a “tall room” and “short room” - the increased blue in the LED seems to cause some plants to stay extremely short while other stretch just the same as under HPS. I think some plants must have a “short” gene in their DNA that responds to increased blue and some don’t.
The Miss. Univ. X Harlequin Dynastry freebie interloper is the front left in this pic:
and here we have the veg room, where the next round is germinating. Unfortunately I will be slightly over the legal plant count until I cull the herd down a bit! hopefully they won’t pull my fingernails out for a few extra seedlings.
I’ve been eager to germ these seeds for the last couple years - interesting history on these. They are born from the pollen of a TGA Chernobyl father from the breeder seedpack, crossed with a local clone called “Jamaica Plain” after the Boston neighborhood. @99PerCent made these seeds, I got to see the male and it was vigorous and sativa-looking.
“Jamaica Plain” is rumored to be from seeds I made about 15 years ago, when I was doing a back-crossing project with my keeper C99 clone from BG seeds. At one point I tried to do a 2 or 3x backcross with Sweet Tooth #3 in the early 2000’s. Rumor has it I shared these seeds with a friend and he got the “JP” clone from these seeds, so JP is technically “Sweet Cindy” and probably 75% C99. Another friend maintained the clone for 10 years! After legalization it emerged from the shadows. Can’t wait to see what these do!!!
The two big plants are actually freebie Wild Bergamot seeds I got from an order with Prarie Moon nursery in Minnesota - very cool wildflower nursery:
That’s very exciting, how cool that years later your creation is possibly still alive and producing!
Here we are at week 4 of flower - day 28. This crop is doing well, nice and dark green due to the late transplant - moved to 5 gallon pots on day 14 of flower.
This Pennywise stayed very short:
The two taller ones:
and my favorite plant so far - the Dynasty Miss U. X Harlequin:
The bud architecture on this last shot is massive.
When that tiger fills in, you are going to need machinery to move it around.
…you know that makes me feel good juju.
99%
I didn’t prune the tall Pennywise enough and they’ve formed a thicket of dozens of small budsites:
For some reason my camera refuses to focus on the Miss. Univ X Harlequin plant:
Reactor #99 seedlings enjoying their new containers
Looking great. Very organized and well laid out.
Bro, these ladies look amazing. See, all you need is love
Is there a big difference in the smoke of the shorter and taller PT of the Pennywise?
probably! I haven’t smoked them yet. The shorter ones probably reflect the Harlequin mother and the taller ones the Jack the Ripper father.
The LED lights seem to exaggerate the differences in height - some of them stay unbelievably short vs. HPS. Others stretch right up into the lights.
another attempt at photography - my camera is absolutely sucking. I know it’s a weak carpenter that blames his tools, but this thing is near useless in flash mode, it won’t auto-focus and I can’t get manual to work.
Day 40 - Pennywise shorty:
Miss U X Harlequin:
Reactor #99 - this is the fun part, just starting to show sex - who will be the lucky females to make it into the flowering room? Which male will get to service them???
These pics give a great idea of what you have growing.
Nice work.
veg update. 3 Reactor 99’s have shown male - preflowers appearing at node 5 - off to the flowering tent. The other 7 have not shown any preflowers through node 7. I’m assuming they’re female and have topped 5 of them.
different exposure
Pennywise “short” at 6 weeks - major fan leaf yellowing underway, this one looks like it may finish at 7 weeks
6 1/2 week update. Do not like the excessive yellow fan leaves but otherwise going well. Taller Pennywise have a million smaller nugs but I think they will tally up to a good harvest.
Miss Univ cross getting fatter:
Vegging Reactor 99 plants looking good, transplant and 12/12 to begin later this week:
