I’m impressed with your grow! I use 5 gallon buckets also. A single grow bucket is a combination of 2 five gallon buckets that create self watering buckets. I then water from the bottom and the plants love it.

I use this approach because I am not set up to flood the buckets and let them drip like you do. I just make certain the bottom bucket is full and when the plants are thirsty they drink. Please note that I can’t check my plants daily so this works best for me.

I occasionally “let it rain” and water from the top, often with fertilizer. This approach has reduced gnats and other crap that likes to grow beneath plants on top of the soil.

Take this with a grain of salt. I am getting back into growing after 20 years and everything seems new.

Mine is a highly modified version of the link below.

Finally getting caught up. Will begin flower in a couple of days. Just waiting for a Midtown Madness clone. Things got out of hand but I have everything lined up again. Plants are just finishing their 3rd cycle of Spinosad and Mesquite Dunks.

Sour Diesel Project:

Stonefarm IBL Preservation:

Veg Room:
Keeper Mothers:
Gorilla Glue #4 Josey Wales Cut
Sour Diesel BX4 #6 (Top Dawg Keeper)
Midtown Madness B (Coming)
Sowahh #5 (Karma Keeper)

Other clones being held for 2nd Sour Diesel open pollination with frozen pollen (Keepers are included).

25 Clones of Midtown Madness B in cloner. Back 4 are all replacement candidates for GG4. I have always kept my Josey cut isolated.
*I will add #s tomorrow.

I finished packing seeds. I don’t even know if I’ve gotten everything. I’ll figure that part out later. Will get to messages tomorrow as well I’m a bit exhausted.

oh i like this stem weaving. done similiar stuff with quite a few plants and its really enjoyable to see those shapes grow on and become something stronger and bigger. kinda like LSTing, but to build stuff, its a very relaxing and slow artfrom imo.
There was a festival place on the eastside where some artist weaved a bunch of willows into shape over years and created a little castle of sorts, with hallways and rooms and all. Sadly cant find any pics atm.

Reminds me that there is also grafting. Grafting - Wikipedia
My great grandpa used it on fruit trees, dunno if it works with weed. But maybe it could be used to merge strains without breeding, and instead by doing branch weaving stuff while also removing the bark around the touching surfaces.

Thank you everyone hopefully people find something nice.

The problem was I got so busy. I use this method when I can’t water. I turn off the lights since plants don’t really uptake water while the lights are off. I don’t push past 48hrs. Plants were so big they needed daily. I would make it a few days then postpone again with lights off. The pants were in a constant flower Reveg because of this. I’ll count it as an accidental stress test. No sights of herm tendencies. I bonsai trained the plants and now I’m allowing them to completely Reveg and become healthy before flower.

@Budderton thank you bud I am okay. I hope you find something nice bud. I cannot wait to crack your seeds. Among the top that eye me everytime I open my seed fridge.

will begin these as soon as possible and next start the Snow Lotus Preservation curtesy of @Leetdood. @Kushking902 i will be sending out franchise packs this week. @leetdood i still have the Thug Pug packs for you I did not forget. Hope everyone’s been well.

I have soo many seeds it’s a problem. A lot of the OG breeders top my list for sure.

hey man. would you mind telling us more about the MSD you used in the sour d crosses? is that mystery sour diesel? glad to see you’re around.

Hey bud thank you.
MSD-
Mystery Sour Diesel (Always the Male)
During the Open Pollination I had all the males from Karma’s Sowahh & Top Dawgs Sour Diesel BX4. There were two small Piffcoast Upstate Sour Males as well but they did flower 5-7 days later then the other males. Likely most of them are a mix of Karma’s and Top Dawgs variations. I kept the fans off until a majority of males were pollinating. The males also sexually matured about 12 days before the females. I tried to limit the chances of any majority donor. Once I felt I had enough matured I shock each plant. I also kept the males in there until week 6 and flowered around 13 weeks if I remember right.

The Karma is a Rez Variant
The Top Dawg is an AJ Variant
The Piff is an Albany x Piffs Cut
Katsu was Stoney’s Male x Idr I want to say AJ
The Riri Seeds were the Old Red Sour but I eliminated all of the variants.
Hope I got that right it’s been awhile.

very cool. thanks again for sending me that big batch. sour d is my favorite strain so i’m going to give them a good run eventually. what about the ones only labeled “top dawg keepers” and 'karma keepers" ?

With the females I broke it down into brackets. I only wanted to eliminate intersex issues to give me a complete genetic profile as possible.

The best of the Run off all the seeds were Top Dawg #6 and Karma #5. I’d say those were the only true keepers to me of the entire run. As in I’d run them if I were to do flower runs or hunting.

Keepers- plants that contained 1 or multiple desirable traits in the aspects I found relative to classic 2000 era Sour Diesel descriptions and what I could find across all forum archives. Still they did fall even slightly short of 5&6

Breeders- May have possessed a desirable trait but several were lacking in some are. There are reasons they may have not been allowed to express themselves fully especially since I bonded 40 something plants into was it 11 for that run. The progeny will be more of a wildcard but with chance and the MSD likely there will be good variants more randomly.

so if i did a trial run of 2 strains/crosses which would you recommend? the top dawg 6 and sowahh 5?

edit, dumb question you already mentioned the keepers

No stress bud.
With just those 2 you have these options.

Sour Diesel BX4 x Sowahh
(Essentially a NY Amsterdam Sour Remix. A line made by Karma)

Sour Diesel BX4 F2
I don’t know if this is the same method JJ used to make the F5s. Still I’d assume his pool was much larger.

Karmas Sowahh F2
(His line is very stable. Im assuming these will be consistant but it’s hard to be certain.)

And the sneaky Piffcoast cross as well.

Still I was wanted to send the Keepers and Breeders to give each person enough seeds to experiment with as large of a pool as possible (hundreds). I did not get a large enough amount to disperse more of the 5/6 then what I shared.
