I was first inspired by my first High Times magazine and I have recently been inspired by Bodhi, Swami, and Welcome to the Growtent on YouTube.

“The Man” is who inspired me to start growing all those years ago. I figured it was safer having my own, than always trying to score some.

I got to meet Ken several times as a child, my Uncle worked for the Springfield Creamery for years which is owned by the Kesey’s. Got to sit in the box at a Dead show in 93 and go on the bus at the Further concert after Jerry’s death. Spent my summers out at OCF. Pretty cool experiences for a young child. Now I work next to a 40 foot mural of Ken.

Thats pretty awesome great group of people right there amazing the lasting influences it has had generations later
Your work sounds like a nice place, I got to go to Mickey’s house once and saw some art his wife was working on but unfortunately never got to see them perform with Jerry. I’m a little to young for the moment in time but grew up in the aftermath.

Ahh man! Its my new logic, and thats that cops do NOTHING but negative and thats to EVERYONE! I challenge anyone to give a first hand experience where they interacted with an ON DUTY police officer and they had a POSITIVE EXPERIENCE with him! I’m sure there are SOME, but I REALLY THINK FEW AND FAR BETWEEN!

@dequilo, you speak TRUTH! I agree with your sentiments exactly

@YoungDad420, I was unfortunately unable to make any DEAD shows prior to Jerry’s untimely death in 1995, but I DID FREQUENT the FURTHER FESTIVALS from the onset!

I got paroled from Terra Haute federal prison 1982

I jumped parole day one flew back to New York and went out on tour for 18 months

I was 23 and it was the best thing I have ever done

they caught me and had to let me go after a hearing because while

I was tour I stayed out of trouble

18 months and 1 million micro grams of Alice D

I was staying out of trouble go figure

Every granny is a treasure lol! Its funny my grandma is also a very avid poker player and I remember she used to teach me and my brothers and cousins some card games to play while the adults were betting real money at the table. Great times.

100% agree … I’ve had a few positive on duty experiences with police. But unfortunately the negative far outway the positive… I prefer just not having a reason to have more experiences with police lol

I need to apologize peeps. I entered i guess without reading thoroughly and well… My entry is not valid.

Sorry for the troubles, if any.

That’s AWESOME and Im glad the repercussions were not too severe and you had a BLAST!

@CADMAN, those are my thoughts as well…limit my exposure to police in any fashion or form!

@natelovestogrow, that IS ironic how both our grannies could poker it up! Small worlds we all live amongst, with so many overlapping details or experiences! Makes me feel more connected to everyone, even when I’m being my usual antisocial self!

I was mostly inspired by my long life friend, we know each other since kindergarten. He is exceptional grower and big inspiration for me, by his approach to and understanding of life. He is currently not member of this forum, or I am not aware of it. He is not growing for several past years, unfortunately.

How’s your entry invalid? Only thing I see to DQ someone is new users who haven’t hit TL2 yet

In that case, I apologize because it seems that my entry is invalid. I thought that the green blocks beside my name showed my trust level. But it seems I’m still a new member. So I will be withdrawing my entry. Thanks for the reminder.

My grandmother who always taught me the importance of sustainable living and the beauty that nature provide and let’s just say with my heavy use it has to be grown by me or I just couldn’t afford it

Cervantes and Rosenthal instructed and inspired my growing in the early years but the first was Alexander Sumach who I had a short communication by letters with. Actual pen and paper snail-mail for you younger growers out there.
