They look nice , I never saw mexican haze grow
Mex Haze
Ace Haze/Malawi/Panama
I didnāt turn down the lights, so they look more yellow than they are. But theyāre starting to shoot up, showing the 3-finger leaves that are representative of Aceās Malawi at this point (if I remember correctly).
The mexican haze is finally starting to go somewhere. Iāve transplanted it, and put it into flowering with the rest.
Panama Haze
Iām also going to try the @PoppaPuff method of cloningā¦ well almost. Going to try a little juice of TM7/Kelp, with a few drops of dip n grow and see if it takes. Good time to experiment. Weed doesnāt seem to grow any faster when youāre self-isolatingā¦ might cut another sprig and try with just RO water and dip n grow.
I try and not submerge more than an inch tops of stem. Even less. No expert but just what i do
Ok cool. It was pretty close to an inch, but I pulled it up a little more. I need to have something covering the top, or itāll dry out pretty fast here. Neoprene collar has a dual function!
Yeah. I had to sprinkle a few drops of water in the last one twice. I also try to never move the plant at all I dont think it makes a diff. But I put it in a place that nobody would touch. Just under ambient household lighting
The seedlings look nice and healthy !
Mex Haze
NMP (Nev haze / Malawi / Panama)
I think this will be the week of sexying. I anticipate that by this time next week, I should have counts on males and females. Glad I persevered on the mex haze, and didnāt give up on it. Very sluggish start, but not itās starting to shake it off.
Having some trouble getting my Panama Haze to clone, but Iāll work it outā¦ I found mold growing on one of my clones. Iām not sure where it came from, but I bleached my whole humidity dome and felt liner. Threw out the old ones and took some new clones off the mom.
@PoppaPuff no signs of roots yet on either of the ones Iāve put into water cups. I think today is day 7, so hopefully I get some action soon. Do you get bumps on the stems or anything before the roots form? Iām not sure I see anything on the stems yet.
I just sort of check it every few days. Yeah sometimes it has a little brown spot first
Panama Haze should root well. Usually takes 5 to 10 dats for me.
Good to see you here old man!
Iāve been having trouble rooting it recently, though I didnāt before. I think Iām having some kind of mold issues in my basement or something. Despite cleaning out my humidity dome with bleach, I keep finding it growing on my rooting cubes and infecting parts of my clones.
It might be coming from my DWC hydro garden that I setup for my personal COVID relief. I think there is some kind of mold growing on some of the roots. Iām not sure if it could carry across the basement to where my grows areā¦
Perhaps itās time for me to clean it and bleach all the floors down there.
Just a heads up here ā
Iām going to start regularly offering up pollen to whoever wants it. I run a lot of males and itās very easy to ship.
In a few weeks (3-4 weeks probably), I should have a nice pile of pollen from Nevilleās Malawi/Panama (what Iām calling the Ace hybrid Iām running now). Genetics are Nevilleās Haze/Malawi x Malawi/Panama.
If interested, holla.
Still no roots via the water method.
Two more clones developed black/brown mold on the rooting cubes in 3 damn days. Iām about to flip my shit if I canāt root this thing soon.
I suspect my rooting cubes have mold spores in the package. So Iām went hardcore on them. I boiled all of the cubes, and now Iām bubbling them in a mixture of recharge, VAM and SCD with a little molasses. Iām going to get those things so loaded out with beneficials that there wonāt be anywhere for the mold to go. Godspeed little beasties.
I just need two damn cuts off this plant to rootā¦
I feel your pain Ive been trying to root a cut of runtz before I flower the mom and they will not root under any conditions so far. I have rooted several other strains in the same conditions and the runtz refuses.
Well, now itās been 2 weeks of these PH clones sitting in water. Theyāre still pretty happy and look almost like day 1, but no roots! Hopefully my boiled, inoculated rooting cubes will do the trick. I also put a portable hepa filter near the tent in the basement. Sometimes I forget how frustrating cloning can be.
Nevilleās Malawi Panama
Mex Haze
Starting to get some balls forming on the males. Females are mostly starting to show and prepping themselves to stretch. I topped most plants over the past two days. Pollen should start to drop in about a week. In about 3 weeks, Iāll be done with my pollen collection and pollination. Should be ready to send it out after that.
Mex haze is about a week behind still. Sheās pretty compact so far. Not especially narrow leaves on any of these, which is not a surprise. In part, the nevilles haze influence, but also Aceās Panama and Malawi donāt start with especially narrow leaves. That ought to change as they move into adulthood.
Iām going to hydrate my coco with boiled water today, because I have nothing better to do and Iām sick of the fungus gnats. After that, fems will go into their 1 gallon pots. I might also cull a female and perhaps a male. One of the females has a bit of chimera foliage. Cool but

Mex
New pots today, and culling the semi-chimera. I probably have more than Iāll finish, but I need to see them growing for at least a few more weeks before I can decide.
You know whatās interesting is alot of people talk about the thin leaved varieties from Mexico but when I was a youth we would grow out brick weed seed and more often then not they were short fat leaved 9-13 finger having bushes. Your Mex looks similar with the fat leaves just something I think about from time to time.
I think Acapulco gold is the only pure Mexican strain Iāve grown. But youāre right, and I know that Oaxaca and MichoacĆ”n strains are both not very narrow leaved. If youāve grown out more, Iād be curious to hear what you think might be when it gets a little more developed.
Which Acapulco gold did you grow ? I grew the Dr Greenthumbs Acapulco gold many years ago. Electric sweet buds but as you said: a bit wide leaves that narrow as the flowering goes.
Nice pics
