I grew the one from Bodhi’s neirika… very narrow leaf, wispy buds, medium-low potency. It’s really a vintage one.
There was always alot of variety coming up from Mexico, alot of different types of cannabis found there way to South America and Mexico early on and some were kept separate but alot we’re mixed. I think the current cartel hybrid is called eldorado or something along those lines.

Mex
Everything except the mex haze is topped now. I’ve noticed two distinct phenos so far. One pheno is very dominant over the other, with a much higher prevalence. I think it is leaning toward the Neville’s haze or generally super malawi haze side, with longer internodes and generally more elongated middle leaves. The 2nd pheno has shorter internodes and more even “square” leaf fingers. The 2nd pheno is flowering slightly faster than the first.
Pistils are starting to pop out, and by the end of the weekend there should be significant action starting to come from these ladies. All good so far, aside from the one culled earlier, I think there’s little to distinguish them from one another at the moment.
NMP Males
I’ve already got a favorite. 2nd from the left toward the back. The one on the front right has a leaf mutation of some kind. Leathery and wrinkled… I’m going to take it down before the drop starts.
I think I have 2 phenos in the males as well. I’m going to do some stem rubs this weekend and see if I can detect any differences in them. 5 males in contention, but the guy in back I feel is about to pull out ahead.
Great thread thanks for sharing
How’s the testers coming along?
Thanks!
You talking about the GF/Panama Haze testers? I’m not certain yet – pretty soon, I’m probably going to grow one each of the Panama Haze pollen chuck to see if I like any of them.
Those would be:
Panama/OTHaze/Durban (cannabiogen)
Panama/OTHaze/Congolese/G13HP (Bodhi Jungle Spice)
Panama/OTHaze/Acapulco Gold (Bodhi)
Panama/OTHaze/Paonia Purple Paralyzer (aka 4P Haze!)
Panama/OTHaze/Malawi
As you can tell, I’ve been busy with it… Of strains that are new to me, it’s probably my favorite from last year. The last one uses the same Malawi/Panama male as the Nevilles Malawi Panama I’m growing here.
NMP
Took the girls out of the tent for a photo shoot. Really pretty plants, I’m enjoying watching them grow up. Leaves are starting to narrow out into more sativa like expressions, than hybrid width margins. Plants have a little stankiness going – a waft haziness to it.
I hope to get these on autofeed soon. So far, just once daily hand feeding. I brought down the other plants from 6x feeds to 3x feeds. These have roots starting to come out of the bottom, so I think they’re about ready to start shooting up vertically. I will probably put them on 3x feeds in a few days.
NMP Males
For those interested in NMP pollen, it won’t be too long now. A few pollen sacs have already opened so far. Pollen production should be underway in about 1 week, peaking at around 2 I’d say.
@lefthandseeds this one should be a racy
Beautiful work, thanks for the pics !
you ain’t kidding. It should also finish at 12 weeks. I think it’s going to be a get up and go strain. Hopefully not too extreme…
How many people are interested in NMP pollen? Just trying to get a count so I know how long I need to keep the males. They smell hazy AF right now. I think it’s pretty clear how they’re going to lean.
I will take a little if you have enough. Otherwise pass it on down the line. I don’t need much as you probably already know.
You got it man. I’ll PM you probably Sunday or so. I think I’ll have all the pollen I need by then.
NMP Pollen
Collected and chopped today. The males that I think are Neville’s Haze leaners dumped plenty. The other pheno (shorter), not as much pollen as it seems like it was probably 4-5 days behind.
Stem rubs on the haze pheno were hazy. Stem rubs on the malawi/panama pheno had a strong menthol smell, and maybe a bit of carrot.
Pollen is drying in the box now. I think it should be dehydrated enough to pack and ship on Monday!
NMP & Mex Haze Females
I saw a bit of mag deficiency starting. I think it might have been a pH thing, but I decided to nip it in the bud and add some epsom to my foliar. Mex haze had the most deficiency. I’ve also got some tips pointing down on some plants. Probably a nitrogen thing. I’m at 1.5EC, but maybe I’ll drop a bit to 1.4 or 1.3 and see if it helps. But it might also just be pH out of whack as well… Gonna obsess over checking my res pH for a week and see where we land.
It looks like I’m on the precipice of flower development. So the next 2 weeks should have some fun pictures to show off.
Also, I’m coming to my last grows in this tent! I ordered a 4x8 gorilla tent lite, and I’m going to try switching to an ebb and flow bucket system. Main reasons being that I want to really open up my vertical height and get as much room floor to ceiling as possible. The gorilla has an extension that I might have to cut-to-fit my basement. Since I won’t be doing DTW, the buckets don’t have to be elevated. All told, I will be adding about 2 feet of vertical and quite a bit of lateral space as well. Bye bye cramped tent! I finally made a decision.
They look good ! Which pic is the Mexican Haze ?
The mex is in the middle photo with the broader leaves. I’ll take some more shots this weekend. Everybody should be ramping up the buds by then and it’ll be a good time to pollinate.
Mex Haze
I’m liking this girl more and more. Leaves starting to narrow out, and nice bud filling in. She’s a total Mg hog and sensitive to N like all of these sativas…
@GramTorino you’ll see in these pics and the next why I need to get my nitrogen down. You can see some bent tips on this girl. Foliage is plenty dark green.
Custom mix here I come. I’m already using Master Blend and these girls are raging against it. I’m also using 23g of Epsom (compared to 12g recommended), and a few of them are still Mg hungry, including this girl who even has interveinal necrosis on some lower leaves from before I went foliar with the epsom.
Neville’s Malawi Panama (Malawi Pheno)
A few in here are really looking good. These are very short plants, topped once. I’d say they are only about 3’ from the floor. Not sure they’re going to stretch much anymore either.
NMP (Neville Pheno)
These are significantly bigger and a little less developed. Topped, I’d put them at 4-4.5 feet right now. Hoping they don’t stretch more. They already smell like haze.
I’m switching over to Master Blend this weekend, also keeping the Mg at roughly twice the recommended rate. It will be interesting to see how the DPxJS and others do with it.
