Hi everybody.

So I’m in the unusual position of not having found any males this run. I know, it’s a good problem to have.

But I was hoping to make some seeds and I can’t do it on my own this time.

So I was thinking that somebody might be able to grace me with a little pollen.

I’m running an OGer and a Blue Tara. I was thinking maybe pollen from something Indica leaning. If anyone has any suggestions for what might pair well with one and or both of these I’m all ears.

I’m not too picky, I was just hoping to make a few seeds for my stash. Not too many, maybe just a few to pass around IRL.

If y’all can hook me up that would be great. If not, no big deal at all I just figured I’d ask.

Hey bud, have you thought about perhaps using some silver and doing some fem seeds? I get this is the breeders lab but just a thought.

That’s an interesting idea I didn’t think about that.

Correct me if I’m wrong but can’t you not smoke something you’ve hit with silver?

This was a run to fill some jars so I’d rather not lose a whole plant (I’ve only got 4) to make some seeds. I didn’t want to go quite that far.

I’d be happy with 100-200 seeds.

You can smoke the plant but not any place that has been touched by the silver. As far as I know you could do say 1 or 2 lower branches carefully for seeds and smoke the rest. Easiest to do lower branches to so nothing falls in your buds.

If it were me I would take 2 clones, one for pollen and one to pollinate. Let your buds finish for smoking. When rooted start spraying down one of the clones for pollen, in no time you will have pollen and a flowering clone to get seeds from.

I like your idea very much but I don’t think I’ve got the bandwidth for all that. I’ve got a couple of people I need to help get their grows started for the season and also my vegetable and herb garden for the balcony so it might be a bit much for me to handle.

I was thinking of some quick and dirty impregnation.

I appreciate the idea and input though.

I have some “bubba kush x wed cake x GG4” (Bubba cake male from Cali freedom farm)pollen . I dont have the male anymore. I bred with the male then saved some pollen ( added lil toasted flour 1/5 ratio), the saved pollen was used to make more seeds on a separate batch of females by hitting specific branches only. I froze the pollen after;(5-6 weeks out in vials before freezing), I was just chucking pollen and still a noob. Still learning the techniques and methods, . Btw I do have 3 plants going now on 4 nodes from the toasted/ pollen mix batch, But… your welcome to give it a shot, if need be, cheers!

Thank you very much for your offer. I’m just concerned that since it was out for so long it might not be viable anymore (I admittedly don’t know too much about this stuff). Let me just check to see if there’s some more interest and come back to you then. I’m very interested in the gg4 genes.

I wish I already had my blue velvet pollen. Id love to see it crossed with the blue tara :frowning: I will have some afghan kush pollen in a couple weeks from WOS if you can’t find anything.

10 guys ( or so 10-15-20) should focus on one strain each.
Good mom’s, Pollen, seeds as well (2nd gen breeding for any back crosses. ) all of it.
One strain each. ( for ex. )
Than In one instance simultaneously, everyone makes 9 crosses ( 9–20 or so crosses) (using the genetics from the pollen everyone else has.Test it, provided it passes testing, pictures branding, infiltrate other forums,markets, reviews. Take advantage of our spread out nature. Distribute. That is the chain of event’s but the value kicks in when we are helping one another preserve and cross out cared for genetics. Each person multiplying your strain for example 100 seeds each put’s 1000 seeds, a good reserve In a bank solidifying it’s existence. Once you make pollen you know it is too much for you to utilize. seeds as well. A more focused group can take advantage of that. Food for thought for those who see the potential in organizing.

I think there is some truth to what you say.

The issue for me is that I’ve only got four plants and can only dedicate a few small branches to seed production. I couldn’t possibly create a serious breeding operation.

On my last run I think I only produced 200 seeds

I was thinking along the lines of several people doing one strain selecting for the best males and female and then each swapping seeds. At least say …4 people do this and you should get a good gene pool of the best while maintaining diversity and improving the line.

It is a solid workaround to the average dude who does not have the plant numbers alone. 4 sucks tho. Math is fun at 10 plus. Done right it’s an idea that could track. ( with Russian hacker like tactics) The group creating a buzz… lots of cups nowadays, spread out, we are also spread out. Lots of forums. Lots of Youtube Channels. ( to send stuff) How do other strains or banks get popular? ( rhetorical)
We make em bank em…if some move and it all goes to things like free stickers to You tubers.innstagram dudes.

Well I had in mind 4 packs of 10 but perhaps it would be better to target a minimum number of seeds germinated 100 would do I think :slight_smile: isn’t that the size of most ‘breeder’ packs?

I won’t do anything, with out basically the best growers in the group on board. anyone else just mostly reproduces what they achieve ( while work on there own stuff in the mean time. Seed Numbers last concern , why cus 10 guys making 100-200 seeds one strain is 1000-2000 they will disintegrate before they move.) I believe the only real goal is to create a presents. ( sales of seeds far in the scope arms can’t reach yet.) but 10 -20 small army of reps. Starting a fire you never just light one piece of kindling you run the lighter all around, we could each be a lighter. that is how you start a fire. There are great growers in here good enough to transcend to the market place. Alone fk no lol there to busy in the lab, but 20 guys talking them up while they are in that lab well that is something. Meanwhile while seeds be banking at first I know how to get articles and commercials done. There are specialist in weed article writing on fiverr and everything else we would need. . I sat in front of peoples places snagging there clients as they went in. I have a competitive streak and I am willing to bet other than good growers and genetics, there are great sales people , self motivated in this group as well.

I guess we just have different goals.

Where I am legal seeds cost $15 each with no guarantees. What I want is to be able to supply my own little world with seeds, for free, all day everyday.

Since it became legal I have helped to set up no less than 6 grows with my seeds for the low cost of 0 dollars.

I see your point about creating fire but I’m just in it to put a smile on peoples faces.

I will do the same for anyone who asks me, and I don’t need 10s of thousands of seeds to make that happen. A few hundred will suffice.

The one exception is autos, I still rely on the community for that.

and when those 6 people clone make there own seeds or just get cash and curious to try other strains do you find a new 6 people?
I in part want to prove to everyone they no longer need idols they can be the idols.
How big companies in other markets work, it is not a one man show and soo much can be done with partnerships that just plain can’t alone beyond lottery odds. And I like stealing popularity.
Ever see someone order a seeds based on a pic they saw and than they grow it does not look like the pic? It is because not much separates them ( seeds banks) from forum guys. There is no magic. They do what we do grow take pics make seeds. I just propose we do what they do. I have clearance for close to 50 plants. 2 months I could make seeds for all my friends than I am back to thinking big. I don’t really care either way I just really think it could be done. 25 guys could run the convo in any forum. That makes my eyes big just knowing the level of manipulation a team could do.
