Agreed. I like to make sure my lights are multipurpose. Like “can I also flower with this clone light.?”
Sounds good what about the above light options I posted for my 10x5
Sounds good what about the above light options I posted for my 10x5? Torn on which ones
A big selling feature for my
Veg light is it is powerful enough to flower too.I do both when I have room/if the mood strikes me.
Where is it $100? I don’t see it
Agree I’d like to be able to do that too
It’s worth a few extra bucks if you ask me.
My 100w board is an HLG100. Pricey, but a beast.
Well its not a sale but I just got a Kind LED X420 and I have to say, it is the best light I have ever had in my 4X2. It has two channel dimmers. You can dial up the far red and UV for flowering and really control the spectrum during the grow instead of getting two separate lights for veg and flower or just one light with only one spectrum through the grow. You can also detach the driver and put it outside of your grow tent, as I was able to do which reduced the heat.
The light isn’t cheep but it is like having two separate lights for the price of one.
Has anyone else here used the X420 before?
Here’s the link:
Between those two big lights I’d get the Spider Farmer but through their website for just under $700 each.
And then grab a couple Solacure Super B or Flower Power bulbs, either their kit with nice commercial fixtures or find a couple free or cheap fluoro fixtures for your UV, I use the Super B and they are fuckin awesome:
A post was split to a new topic: Plug and play LED vertical lighting?
Got the xs1500 pro last night, build quality seems good.
Comes with LM281B+ Samsung diodes
The dimmer isn’t free range, clicks between 5%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.
Can daisy chain the dimmers as well
No off switch
Recommended height is 12 inches from canopy, light distribution is really nice
For the price I don’t think you can go wrong, I’ve had good customer support from them in the past as well
We’ll see how they do long term
What do you think of the lenses on the leds? I saw mixed reviews on YouTube on the actual performance measurements so I’m on the fence whether to get one or just go with a @MarsHydro ts1000
Compared to my quantum board it seems like they give far more even distribution, I’m sure part of that is the spacing between the panels and the led layout. They definitely look strange at first
Can’t compare to the ts1000 as I’ve never used one. At full price I’d probably look around a bit more but with the two discounts it’s a really solid light.
Time will tell, especially after a flower run or two, but plants seem happy and price was right
Here’s some Readings with phone app, don’t have an actual meter
Top Left Corner
Center of tent
Bottom Left Corner
Lowest reading so far, yoyos in the bottom middle a bit
Edit: Whoops Nevermind, recent low reading in the middle was because board 2 was only at 50%
That’s much better than what I was seeing in the reviews, what phone app?
“PPFD Meter” for android, doubt it’s perfect but a ballpark anyway
I mean they exist and even have recommendations on their page for the lenses to use, I’ve considered buying some to retrofit to my 550:
HLG just never got around to implementing them, maybe because of the 86% efficiency, that seems low?
It’s a solid board. I have one I got used (4000k version) and I use it in my 2x2 from start to finish on seed runs.
Same one i use. so far so good, just make sure you clean off your light-sensor before using.
You know how I feel about the 4000k
I have done pretty much everything possible from veg to flower to seed under the HLG and I’m very pleased with my purchase and impressed by its performance.
I feel guilty I paid only $100 cash monies for mine from a guy who had to move back into his parents place because he couldn’t afford his own anymore and his folks needed his help at home financially.
Literally drove to a house across the street from Goulding Park… it was weird as I was thinking “I should visit my parents… but they are in South Africa right now so it’s their fault i’m not visiting while doing business in their hood.”
