Sk#2 has the RKS terps … Sadly a lot of drama regarding this … I tire quickly when the dick measuring contests start … We’re all on the same team . People seem to forget this .

Dead skunk smells like dead skunk, it’s not very subjective. But, it’s still skunk, you’re a lucky man. May your harvest be fruitful.

Cool. GLG is a great spot. I’ll be on the look out for your stuff.

The subjective part is what people remember as skunk and where that actually came from. Was it even the same ? Was what I grew up with as skunk the same as what you had ? Was it even skunk the strain ? I personally think not. I bet you could take a plant that you think smelled like skunk from your childhood and other people would smell something different and disagree.

Some people believe skunk smells come from skunk the strain. I’ve seen the argument 100 times and I am not inviting that into my life by saying I have something that is precisely what someone’s memory is. How do you know what you consider “roadkill” had anything to do with the strain skunk ?

What I have , I found a male that smells like skunk , the animal. Not a dead rotten carcus but the spray. There are also sweet phenos and things in between because it’s half skunk #1 and everyone knows that had nothing to do with the skunk smell

I didn’t mean that in a negative way at all, I was just trying to explain where I was coming from by saying subjective :pray:t3:

I do remember getting sacks of skunk, back in the mid/late 80’s, that had an exceptionally pungent “fresh skunk-spray” fragrance that some called roadkill because of how strong the smell was. It could still be smelled after being closed up in three separate ziplock baggies. It wasn’t as sweet as it was astringent, but man, did it get you high… and the price was right.

Incidentally, RKS doesn’t stand for Road Kill Skunk… it stands for Really Killer Skunk.

Back in the mid/late 80’s, I don’t remember which year… maybe '85/'86, I bought a pack of ten Skunk #11 seeds, mail-order, from the Holland Seed Company for something like $18. I remember that grow and I remember the buds being more sweet/earthy skunk rather than harsh flavors of death.

We’re all trying to get back the strains that made the most impact on us… the ones we hold in fond memories, but what happens when the memory gets better than the weed was?! Are we still looking for the same thing… or the unobtainable strain from back in the day of our memories?
