I just whipped this up quickly. Printed with Creality petg. Nozzle temp 245C. Bed temp 75C. I think infill is 20 maybe 30%. Let me know if you would like the files they are for 22mm poles.

@JustANobody I was looking at one of these to make on my 3d printer once we figure out the damn neverending leveling issues on the creality ender 3 smh. But I like the ones with the open design and no where for the solo cup to stand so im curious why you decided to put a bottom on that is is easier to make that way? This is the one I was wanting to recreate

Nope both should basically take the same to make, you’d just extend the empty space down lower for the one you want to create so it’s a whole instead of a solid bottom. What ender 3 do you have?

@JustANobody I believe its the base model v3 but it’s got some upgrades here and there. I don’t know much of anything about it or how to operate it ive left that up to my fiance as im always busy for the most part but I do need to learn it eventually

Did you add the cr touch or whatever it’s called for auto bed leveling?

That’s pretty dope. My wife has succulents and I have aloe growing in 1 gal fabric pots. These might be a better option of us .

@JustANobody We bought it and never installed it. My buddy we got it from said it’s not worth the hassle of installing because if your not using your bed nonstop it’s gonna eventually need leveled about everytime you go back and start using it again. The bed leveling is her biggest gripe. Once again I know nothing about it but it’s sat for almost a month or more because we’ve put like $150 in parts and it’s not doing anything or working properly still and we only paid $100 for it from the get go if I recall right

It’s super easy. I manually leveled my bed to get it ‘good enough’ , then update the mesh before you print and you’re good. It makes it so easy. You can even add gcode to your prints to auto update the bed mesh using the cr touch. I highly recommend it.

Yeah I need to figure out how to use it and get the dang thing fixed already. Look at all this I’ve already replaced. Don’t get me wrong it was bought used from a friend who just ran it nonstop but still I probably could of bought a new 3d printer at this rate

Oooo used, that’s the problem. Most people recommend not buying used unless you really know what’s going on. It seems kind of easy to get lost in some of the more advanced stuff, but the v3 se is super easy with cr touch.

Some nice upgrades!

Yeah I just need someone to help me in person lol. I’ve had my buddy try to help make it right multiple times but we get back to the same issues as always and that’s filament feeding and bed leveling. It’s probably easy to explain but I feel like an idiot having no clue what either my fiance or friend are talking about. I work on cars not 3d printers ok haha

I’m in the middle of printing one for your Mam.
Been on 3 days now so you can imagine the size of it.

You can pull the green bit off and hope for the best, some ppl spray it with a think it’s hydrogen pyroxide (not too sure on that though) to clean it off.
I’ve gotten away with just taking it off with a gloved hand sprayed with isopropynol. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t it just depends how far gone it is.

I watched a lot of videos on youtube and read a few posts on reddit about them before I made my choice, maybes try that.

One step ahead of you buddy. The 3% h202 stopped it in its tracks. Still have plenty mycelium showing. H202 is just water with an extra oxygen atom. It kills bacteria but its supposedly safe to use while growing shrooms. :crossed_fingers:I still get a harvest from them.

I’d love to hear some thoughts on this floating shelf idea I have. When I get the 3d printer running I want to try some test prints and see how they come out. I have dreams of making it a wick system so it’s a floating shelf with wicks from the plants coming down to a bucket of nutrient water so it can be set and forget. Of course it won’t be that easy without some trial and error but here’s the idea if anyone would love to throw their 2 cents in or create it and test print it yourself

Here’s some cool things I found on etsy below. I thought a solo cup was pushing it they are making corner clips for 1/4 gal bags :open_mouth:

That 1/4 gal grow bag gives me hope for 6 inch square pots. I’m going to use the same clip I’m using now.

I’m printing this quick one I mocked up. Has the zip-tie hole and a longer pole mount. I’ll let you know how it works in a couple hours.
