I tend to believe what he says and the stories he tells.
Really interested in the history of people he has worked with. positive or negative.
For such a person with “questionable” legitimacy, he sure has worked wiuth some really prestigious people.
Really curious why seattle greg of northern lites fame gave him seeds to work with, along with todd mccormick. To me, those connections say more than anything else.

Greg gave a bunch of people seeds… He didn’t give Bodhi seeds tho, does that mean something too, then? I don’t think it does. Nor do I think Greg doing so makes any difference in regards to Matt’s character. Maybe Matt is just well connected and asked. I doubt Bohdi cares.

A couple of years ago, when I first found Bean Basement, I was reading in the section about Breeding. Someone posted up this HUGE PDF file, hundreds of chapters or sections. It’s gigantic!! I asked the OP if I could make a copy of it, and got permission to copy it.
SOOO much is miles over my head, in the hard core botany of the subject. Every aspect, detailed, every one has a section.
Way down, I find this file titled Matt Riot it’s for the patients. about 58 pages long.
Has who he wronged and evidence, a lot of todays breeders.
Who ever compiled this, really complied an opus to breeding, and really did not focus on MR. He simply referenced MR, as he exposed a lot of lies about the reasons for his work, and it was not about the patients.
I was warned way back to find other breeders to purchase beans from. So glad I listened.

Personally I feel a post referencing the fact that rumors are unreliable, and you can’t necessarily trust them, is very on-topic and wastes far less space than 82 he-said she-said exchanges. Willie Nelson wrote the song I linked as an explicit answer to the rumors that he was already dead. I feel this entire thread should die instead of Willie Nelson.

i think i saw that post, but not the MR stuff. it was just a post with a ton of pdf links wasn’t it? i spent the last 10mins trying to remember where i saw it but couldn’t find it. I’m not sure it was bean basement tho…damn it’s killing me, i saw it.

I don’t know anything about OP’s breakdown of why people shouldn’t trust Matt, I only know why I would never do business with the guy: he was on The Potcast a couple years ago and went off on Gage Green in a totally psycho way that made no sense and IMO revealed Matt to be a personality-disordered giant flaming asshole (GGG then went on an episode and were arguably worse in response, that episode was ultimately deleted).
I have also listened to Matt on podcasts when he wasn’t in flaming asshole mode and found what he had to say interesting. I think he probably is genuinely two different people, reasonable dude who is thoughtful and knowledgeable (whether that knowledge is first or second hand I cannot say) and that other person. I take it from the people who can stand his presence that he isn’t that other person most of the time.
