Reikox's Workshop 2024

Hey @OGSince03 thanks for stopping by my thread!

The dark color is because of several reasons. One reason being the rosin pucks were old, and some still had flower in them, so it picked up a bit of green from that. Another reason it is so dark is because of oxidation. I did everything over an open boiler with lots of oxygen. If I would have used my Source Turbo, I could have reduced the exposure to oxygen during the distillation steps.

Yes I did mean flavorless. This process uses some pretty high heat, most of the flavors and smells evaporate away with the alcohol and water.

The goal of RxCE is to get as close to distillate as possible in a home kitchen. I put it in the cart to see how clean it was. In the end it’s destined for edibles. If you want some flavorful carts, the longer and more delicate process here may interest you.

Those taste great and are pretty discrete. Unfortunately the process takes days instead of hours. The live resin cartridges also tend to clog or (probably just my bad luck) break wasting a fair amount of product.

In the end, I still like a device made for rosin instead of a cart. My favorite device, and the one I use at home is the Huni Badger. Lately I’ve been using the Cricket when on the go. A decent device with a nice form factor, but chem/sour/diesel do not taste good on the titanium surface.
