Lil’ fucker. Gotta buy those sticky traps now.
My old eyes are like, " what the fuck is that" haha. Even when I try to zoom in on the insect my eyes are like, “no really dumbass what the fuck is it” haha.
How are the Chem D x Dog Patch Chem^3 treating you?
In the entire population that I have looked through, I haven’t seen anything similar to this one. It almost looks like some kind of nutrient issue, but it could be genetic. I hope all is well with you brother! Positive vibes…
~nugzz
Hey brotha, they’re doing. Everything was goin peachy until a few days ago. Noticed a burn on 3 plants, 1 being a Sour 13.
Here’s another Chem3
And the Sour 13
Not exactly sure what to attribute it to. My intuition is pointing towards excess CalMag causing some issues, so I lowered the feed. Runoff looked normal for everyone, all I can do is monitor them.
That funky looking one ended up herming sadly. It stunk real bad too.
Here’s the whole tent.
How long have you seen these girls go until they’re ready? I can’t wait to smoke a fat joint of Chem3.
Fuck homie. That sucks dick. I knew that was a possibility with that hybrid and I expressed that to you as much as possible, but I am still sorry.
The crazy part is that I have ran a large population of the Chem D x Dog Patch Chem^3 twice now, with the first run being a pretty hardcore stress test and I haven’t shaken out any intersex issues in them.
Again, they are definitely possible though and if they are going to show, I would guess that it would be with one as funky as that one haha.
Yeah this is ridiculously common with the ones that I have looked through. The stank is strong in that one. Fucking delicious.
They look pretty beautiful from where I am sitting. Any smells from the others?
Anywhere from 9-11 weeks seems to be the norm, with right around 10.5 weeks being a heavy average. Obviously, there could be some outliers as well.
I can’t wait for you to be able to either! Hopefully you find something that you enjoy in them. I know that I have found quite a bit that I do haha. Positive vibes…

Welcome to week 5, here’s a video update;
I seem to keep hitting roadblocks on each grow, which is a bummer because I believed I had everything dialed in my 4x8. Two plants’ leaves are curling badly due to heat stress. I lowered the light intensity quite a bit, but haven’t noticed the plants recover in the slightest. One of the G-Rides has burnt lower leaves, I showed a picture of one in the video. She’s also not looking happy, the leaf looks like a potassium deficiency, but I’m unsure.
The 4x2 tent is doing alright. The Sour 13 is looking pretty rough, again am unsure what it could be. 3 Chem^3 are showing some deficiency as well, I’m unsure what it is. I’ve realized that most of the time I try correcting something nutrient wise; I typically make it worse. So for now, we’re letting it ride
Thank you brotha. There is some good funk from the others. Gets stronger every day, which is exciting.
Rita
Gina
Gossamer
Blurry Holly
Lychee
Paquita (La Del Norte)
As y’all can see, some colas foxtailed from the light intensity. Also, Paquita is quite unfrosty, and is looking like she’ll take the longest to finish.
I had to leave for three days to attend a Colombian court case and came back to mold!!!
I had to toss Gossamer(Purple Punch x Do-Si-Do) entirely out, mold on all the colas. Valentina (Bombay Crush) developed mold on 3 colas. Rita (Bombay Crush) developed bud rot on 4 colas. Gina (G-Ride) developed mold on 1 bud that was touching Gossamer, same with Holly (G-Ride). One fat cola on Marucha developed mold as well. I chopped all the affected areas plus some more just to make sure.
Fuck!!
I have no idea how high the humidity must have gotten, but I brought it from 65 to 55 when i got back and emptied my 2 gal dehumidifier. I’ll be chopping everything on Wednesday, being day 60.
At least I beat the court case in Colombia.
We’re about two days from chop, I’ve had to cut a few more colas including two of Paquita’s fat ass ones.
I’m really thankful for this grow as I learned quite a bit this round. This wouldn’t be Señor Christmas’ Fuck-Ups (And Downs) without any fuck ups, here’s some of the primary ones.
- LSTing and Scrogging alone won’t get my plants to the shape that I want them. I’m going give mainlining a try. Most of my plants are falling over because how poorly I trained them. I had to use stakes on some, but couldn’t on all of them.
- 12 plants is too many to maintain in the a 4x8. There were areas I couldn’t defoliate because I couldn’t reach. I’m hoping mainlining will help ease this issue since I’ll still be aiming for 12 plants per harvest.
- The canopy grew real fast, and I forgot to move my Inkbird sensor above it. This is what most likely caused the foxtailing. The temperature must’ve been in the 90s+. Gotta keep track of that sensor in the future.
- The moment I notice heat stress/light burn, I need to do something about it. Waiting 2 days permanently damaged a few plants.
- I need to bring the humidity down gradually starting around week 6 of flower. I want to prevent mold as much as possible, if anyone has any recommendations on when to bring humidity down, please let me know. This was the first time I dealt with mold and I don’t want to run into this issue again. Even though I’m certain it was because of uncontrolled humidity the 3 days I was away, I still want to prevent it from possibly happening again.
Here’s some pictures to finalize this grow. I’ll be chopping in the next couple of days.
Chavela ( Triangle Kush x Durban Biscotti)
- Doughey lemon goodness smell.
Valentina (Triangle Kush x Durban Biscotti)
- Strong lemon aroma mixed with a bit of gas.
Marucha (Triangle Kush x Durban Biscotti)
- Similar terps to Chavela, just a tad stronger.
Paquita La Del Barrio (Super B x Blue Cheese) F2
- This plant proved to me that stem rub is a lie. Reaked of cheese all throughout veg and now smells strong of some sort of berry candy. This is the only phat cola to survive the Mold Epidemic of 2023.
Gina (Gary Payton x Hood Candyz)
- I actually can’t describe this one. The best I can do is it smells like some sort of cleaner?
I took a sample to dry in a paper bag and smoke. Here’s some tirchome pics of the sample.
Holly (Gary Payton x Hood Candyz)
- Sweet grape jello-y terps with a very light hint of gas.
I took a little sample off of her too.
Lychee (Gary Payton x Hood Candyz)
- Same grape jello terp as above, but no gas.
Parceros, como vamos?
All the girls have been hung to dry as of yesterday. I spent a lot of my time pre-manicuring and inspecting for mold. I chopped a few more tops that seemed questionable, as well as a few noticeable moldy buds. I’m hoping that was the last of it, but will still inspect everything when I trim. Can’t win a marathon without putting some bandaids on your nipples, y’know. Overall, I’m pleased with this harvest and am thankful for all I gained from it.
I made hash for the first time, I’m psyched to hopefully use some of this to make my first cannagar.
I’ve been smoking from the samples I took of the two G-Rides, and boy, Holly is potent. Gina honestly doesn’t come close. I can’t wait to further sample both with a good cure. I’m hoping the clones I took and attempted to keep in the fridge root. They’re not looking too good, but if they do; I’d love to do some work with Holly.
It’s time for some PUCK Bc3 F2s. I’m real excited for these. I want to do their poor burnt mothers some justice. The seeds came out very pale, which if I remember correctly, was the same from the F1s.
A few have already popped through soil. We have some other fun contestants that have popped through, but I’ll announce the full roster once the two remaining seeds I have in water germinate.
Well amigos, thank you for stopping by.
Hola todos,
I hope whoever is reading this has been well. I’d like to begin this update with the fuck downs and slowly work towards the ups. I’m saddened to report that the clones from the last run all had to be disposed of.
Next on the menu, meet Lung Buster:
(Pic by Solfire)
Description:
This cross composes over a decade of selection into a symphony of smells and flavor. Of all the Don Mega crosses we have done over the years the “Lung Buster” is by far and away my favorite. the typical Don qualities such as monster yields, beautiful color and potent effects carried over nicely with a now added ancestral smell from the Udder Madness that complements the original dirty gym sock terp of our cut which is usually oh so very dominating. What we found in our test was a distinctly pungent gassy grape sweetness that transfers well to the palate. This cross and the Gas Guzzler are the most potent, easily lowering my eye lids and sending me to the couch. I could actually feel the effects setting in clearly which is something that doesn’t always happen, it’s doesn’t just creep up the Lung Busters thick smoke has a fast onset. If you are a Don fan this one is for you and may retire your current pheno, if you’ve never grown Don Mega this is where you start. Expect to see our Lung Buster #7 used in work going forward
I introduce to you, fuck down number 2:
Learned she doesn’t respond as well to LST as the others. Then I fucked the topping…
As you can see, there isn’t any branches in sight. Hopefully he/she grows a pair. We shall see, said the blind man.
Now for some ups

Motorbreath 15 is a renown Michigan selection by StickyIckyOG and created by Jimmynitz of Pisces Genetics. A perfect combination of camphor Kush and diesel gas, the Motorbreath 15 stand alongside the best Kush. Potency and power are nothing new to the Motorbreath 15. She will satisfy even the most experienced heads. Pisces Genetics did an incredible job pairing these genetics together and providing a stable and desirable cut for ages to come. Flower – 70 days, Medium Stretch, Indica Hybrid
Breathwork (Mendo Breath x Grateful Breath)
The Breathwork male named Dizzy is a champion heralded from the Breathwork #1 series, a cross of Mendo Breath and Grateful Breath Solomon, made back in Mendocino, CA. Dizzy was selected for his profound vigor and thirst for life. He possesses a unique duck-foot leaf structure that remains flat and consistent throughout his lifecycle. Dizzy is stable and produces purple male flowers that cluster with visible resin production. Expect unseen levels of trichome production resulting in blue and purple, crystal-laden flowers. Flavors consist of sandalwood, pine, citrus, berries, and lavender. Flower – 63 days, Medium Stretch, Indica Hybrid
This fella here got injured too, I realized the branch was separating at the base.
I have to be more careful with these plants after topping them. I’m new to this mainline thing, so hopefully the plants forgive me for my misdeeds.
I pressed enter a bit too soon…
Continuing,
We have PUCK Bc3 F2s in the works.
Ak Bean Brains: Golden Showers (EL JEFE’S AFGHAN HAZE CATPISS X HAWAIIAN CAT PISS)
Originally, this was going to be 1 seed like the other strains. The main focus for this grow was the Puck, so I wanted to just have some other plants to sample. However, my first seed failed to germinate due to mold, so I placed the second into a hydrogen peroxide solution and it also failed (the embryo somehow sheered itself). The third and fourth I hand-cracked and placed in the same solution, and then planted them in soil after their radicles came out. They never broke soil.
So I emailed senor Bean Brains who told me I should attempt to germinate them in only 3% hydrogen peroxide for a couple of days and then plant into soil. I now have a few that have sprouted. We shall see where they take us.
I’ll more than likely open pollinate like I did the Puck last round, we shall see.
Paquita La Del Barrio
Francisca Viveros Barradas, most-known professionally as Paquita la del Barrio, is a Mexican singer, songwriter, and actress.
She is most notoriously known for her song, “Rata De Dos Patas”:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTbh93rUnYM
Unbeknownst to the world however, was that it was also the name of my Super B x Blue Cheese plant.
This is the first cultivar I’ve smoked that is “done” curing. This plant had a crazy stem rub of some real dank cheese from the moment she was in veg till mid flower. I don’t even want to say stem rub, because you didn’t even have to touch her. She just reeked of cheese. In late flower, she developed a strong sweet scent, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Well, I now have a better grasp on that smell. It’s a strong sweet berry with a milk undertone that transfers extremely well into the smoke.
I typically don’t taste any terps when I smoke, even when I was buying top shelf dispo shit. But a joint of this stuff had me feeling like I was smoking one of those swisher sweets (which I haven’t smoked since I was a teen). Now mind you, this review is off a single joint. I’m rolling the second after I post this with the nug I used for the picture, but this is by no means a definitive review. Effects wise; strong pain relieving body high with nice head clarity. My stomach has been jacked all day, and I’m hungry as can be right now. Mind you, I’ve been smoking some great stuff from my dispo, but it wasn’t making me an ounce hungrier or making my body less painful.
I’m saddened that I lost her clone, but I luckily have 3 seeds left. It gives me something to look forward to.
Cheers y’all, I’m about to fry some fish and “chips”.
Buenos humos.
I don’t think this Lung Buster is going to make it. Looks real stunted to me. I repotted into a 1 gal in the off-chance that it starts growing some shoots again.
Everyone else is doing fine, they’re showing some discoloration on the leaves so I’m going to be upping their feed. They’re a little behind all my other cultivars on how much I’m feeding them, but they’ve been showing no signs of needing more food so… I honestly don’t even know how many days they’ve been in veg, which is unlike me as I usually have everything written down and planned.
Kind of a shit pic but ey, how ya doin’?
The Golden Showers are doing alright. I got 7 solid looking seedlings, and 2 stragglers.
I toothpick’ed this fella open a few days ago, and it looks a lot better.
I decided to toothpick this one as well today.
We’ll see where it goes.
Take care, comb your hair.
Did you happen to see the roots during the transplant?
Once every few grows I get something similar and most of the time it was a root issue.
Cheers
G
What it do Gpaw!
It was a bit rootbound. I saw a fella on YouTube slash the root ball with a knife when he transplanted to promote root growth. I wanted to try it this round, but seems a bit risky.
I’ve been ‘playing’ with that as well, but I haven’t made up my mind yet…
There seems to be a significant variation of responses to ‘root bound’, I suspect that the genetics have a major influence… either that or phases of the moon…
Cheers
G
I tried it out this time, we’ll see how better the roots are when I harvest.
Done it a couple of time with motherplants, and I quickly erased it from my books ^^ A rasta growing cheap showed me a real tech when you need to “reboot” the root production. And it’s as efficient than simple.
You take the “rootbounded” plant (i dislike this term), you remove the plant from the pot and place it in a bucket of water in shaking gently the roots in the water. Until you removed almost all medium.
It’s pretty fast even with heavy root mass phenos. Then you transplant the plant in keeping the “cleaned roots” in the last third of the height of the new pot. I used it a lot to create dense libraries of “cannabonsaï”.
I think I won’t do it again either hermano. I’ve done the watering trick for this cannabonsai I grew for a competition, although a bit more aggressively. I just turned the sink on to room temp and washed as much as the medium as I could. But honestly, I haven’t dealt with rootbound issues in the past, or even now. I just wanted to see if the roots would be denser once I harvest by doing the cut method. I definitely will try displacing the roots with water next go to see how well the plants respond to it.
Update on the garden:
I have 4 female plants thus far. It looks like the remaining 8 PUCKs are all males. I originally wanted to flower them out to see what’s up, but all of them have hollow stems, which is something I don’t want to explore. They all have a very similar cheesy/pungent stem rub, which is exciting for future exploration purposes.
The 4 females are:
- Bodhi’s American Skunk Select x Kagyu’s Colombian Punto Rojo
- Gage Green Group’s Mo Lune Day (Motorbreath #15 x Breathwork)
- Room 9 Genetics’ Gorilla Glue #4 x Cinco De Chem [(Chem D x Sour D) x 2011 Stardawg F1]
- Professor P’s Super Pineapple Haze (Pineapple Fields x Super Silver Haze)
Since it seems these are all the females I’ll be working with, I’m going to divide 2 per side of my 4x8 and veg them for a nice long minute under some high quality SCROG netting. It’s quite a downgrade from 12 plants, but that’s the way she goes boys. Way she goes. The S. Pineapple Haze has a stem rub of sweet pineapple with a hint of metal. The Mo Lune Day has a stem rub that smells heavy of halitosis. I can’t wait to smell her in flower. The Colombian A.S.S has a pungent aroma that’s also very pleasant to me, can’t describe it as well as the others. Lastly, the GG#4 x Cinco De Chem has no strong aromas associated with it yet. They are all very stretchy however.
In the meantime, my 2x2 has been the home of the Golden Showers F3s (El Jefe’s Afghan Haze Catpiss x Hawaiian Catpiss).
I have 9 solid plants now, with the two on the bottom right being the ones I toothpick’d. I’m going to be transplanting them to 1 gallon soon and flowering them out. The goal for these is the same as the PUCKs and probably every other pack I have in my vault: Open pollinate, and then select the best female and male combo to bring to the next generation. 10 seeds is just too little to select with, I’d rather have a wider pool to jump into.
As always, I appreciate those of you who are reading this and I hope y’all have a wonderful rest of your day.
