I finally did the dark deed. My cloning machine has been sitting in a tote for 2 or 3 years with water in it at this point. I kept putting it off and today I said screw it lets get it over with. As soon as I pulled that lid off it hit me - nothing. The tote was bone dry around the machine. That’s when I saw all the plugs still in the top creating a seal, and there was definitely sloshing when I dragged it outside so I braced myself. Figured I’d start pulling plugs and releasing the Kraken slowly.
First few plugs no issues, some more ok. Actually started to get hopeful! Pulled the last plug and it was time for the lid. Pulled it off slow and you wouldn’t believe what I found inside this thing! Nothing. Some perfectly fine water, my pump looking clean, all good I’ve stressed opening this thing up for a few months now because I was scared what I’d find inside and it was like I used the thing yesterday lol
Sprayed it all out and it’s drying in the sun now. Good times!

Ok update time cause I walked into something today I didn’t expect. I didn’t bother swapping the plants around today and the Chocolate Thai was not happy about it. She is no longer enjoying the CMH I guess even though she’s far enough I would have thought she’d be ok. If this isn’t saying something then I don’t know what would.
.Lavender Frosting is trucking along. She is also not thrilled with the CMH lately, been clawing under it for a few days and she’s even further from it than the CT.
Might it be distance from the bulb? Pennywise looks shorter and further.
Looking good other than your limp dicks… Don’t you go messing up the CT this late in the game! I’ve never seen that, I’d had em grow right into lights, but not bend away like that.
Same. I’ve never seen them lean away like that. I’m guessing distance is the factor too but I’ve had things way closer than the the CT and WAY closer than the LF without issues before.
Yeah I guess they just don’t like the heat (even though there doesn’t seem bad at all). That bulbs is old though so maybe that has something to do with it? Spectrum change or something above my paygrade?
Whelp I made up my mind and 2 Viparspectra XS2000’s will be here tomorrow. The CMH will go from my powerhouse to a backup light. Kind of exciting and oddly just a little sad. Was going to go the overkill route and do XS4000’s but for the foreseeable future in my 2x4s I think the XS2000 is where it’s at. One in each tent will be plenty and if I ever move to a bigger tent the two should pair together nicely.
I think I got one the small light. For clones. Good deal on the lights. I do miss my 600w hps. I may use another one this winter. I like a bigger light. I’m wanting to go 2x4 light more. I like to change out lights if I don’t need them. I need to go to a bigger tent. 6x6 would be great. Room to move around in. Once it cools down. Things will be different.
I about feel last night. Had to get that shingles shot yesterday the second one made me kind of dizzy. I sure don’t want the shingles. If it wouldn’t have been for the 5 gallon bucket I would’ve lost three plants and probably the whole tent and light would’ve fell on me
