Oooo, i havent but ill take a look, thanks for the link! I often think the drymouth i have at night from smoking to help get to sleep definitely isn’t good for my teeth, id guess this study will confirm that

Thats interesting, I knew dry mouth was not good but that amyloid plaque is a nasty dementia and Parkinson’s creator.

If you want to increase saliva drink water with apple cider vinegar and or lemon juice in it. Your mouth will produce more saliva to protect the enamel on your teeth from the acid.

My favorite drink is apple cider vinegar and lemon juice in carbonated water its a really refreshing drink better than any pop or soda.

Interesting study, they do note some of it’s limitations, I think they need everyone on the same diet as well, after all, the types of food we eat contribute significantly to the bacteria we ingest. Someone on a diet heavy in processed foods is going to have a completely different microbiom than someone eating a whole food vege diet.

The dental state of someone’s mouth and the toothpaste they use will also affect the results as toothpastes and mouth washes are very destructive to oral microbiomes as well.

So to answer the quote from On another topic, I would say supplementing with high doses of B1, B6 as well as B12 to support nerves, motor neurons and mitochondrial damage.

Intermittent and long fasting will reduce plaque build up in the brain and so will cutting out sugar and refined carbs. Sugars create an acidic oral environment, acids like acv and lemon juice will create an alkaline effect as the body will always try to balance our bodies PH which is a better environment for friendly bacteria.
