Yeah my nutes also adjust pH but not entirely. I always Have to lower it a bit more. But those are mineral nutrients, I dont know how organic nutes change the pH levels… For example: my RO water is pH 7.0 and after adding the nutes I Have like 6.0. Then I change to 5,6 for growing stage…

But I think that we Have all seen many grows from People where they didnt measured the pH and Ec ppm levels and they were Just Fine. So it doesnt Have to be the problem necersary… Maybe There is even bigger problem and it could be the water you use. Maybe it is too “Hard”. high ppm or Ec levels or very high pH and the nutes doesnt adjust it enough. (Just from the tap water) and that could couse all the nutes locking problem :-/ think about that!

Well i think this is bad news… But only one of the plants is doing this, so i dunno.

Yeah, my tap comes out at around pH 8. Before I started using RO, I would get lockout even in organic soil.

How does it measure the pH in soil? dont get it now…

I have no idea how… It shows that on the screen, i might flush the plant to see what that does, it’s doomed either way right!?

I think it’s the build up of salts yes… Flushing it now… Hope that helps, and if not then i’m f**ked…

It measures pH only in water. You need to Flash it with clean water and then measure the runoff.

No bro that is a SOIL PEN for pH… Check it out…

Be cool man. Flush only one plant and measure. Then second one and measure again. If it shows that it really is high pH then you have to get clean water and adjust pH. But not too much so they dont get shock! If the pH will be for example 7.5 then you need to lower it to 7.0 and then two days later you lower it to pH 6.5 and then to 6.0 ok? Dont panic. Nothing is lost   they are Strong

Yeah me too   what about the other plants? Write it down here

I bought it used form ebay. Like new… $50

The other ones are looking better but i somehow detect some slight yellowing coming, i think i should flush them…

It is locked and won’t be able to suck anything from the soil, would you flush them!?

Flushing will bring it down to the 7 of plain water but then you will be too wet for a bit, after it dries up use one or two tablespoons of white vinegar to bring water to 5.5 - 6 then mix in proper nutes double check pH of mix right before watering

What if my water is at 6pH? Would that be better???

If your water is six that’s on the money, my water as is comes in at 7

Measure pH before and after water typical will swing up as it dries might wasn’t some dolomitic lime to decrease soil base pH , need to crush the pellets in something like a blender or coffee grinder. Do not nute and lime at same time

Ok, no today it’s at 6.8pH, but still that would bring it down a bit. And then i’ll throw a couple of gallons of fixed pH’d water thru the soil, to “finish” the flushing with proper pH’d water?

6.8 will help reduce soil pH front the 7+ you got but if it swings back up while drying think dolomitic lime

OK, i dunno where to ge that here. Gonna have to see if it’s available… Going to flush now…

Hey @MadScientist are you not adding powdered dolomite lime to your soil mix?
