I agree, it’s also gonna make it harder to find those sellers too. I’m sure part of this deal is those that pay the most get the top/first search page. Those paying the least will be at the bottom/last of the search.
So the guy that’s just looking to off load some packs they bought and will never run, or have an excess of homemade crosses will be a pain to find. That’s if they even bother. I certainly wouldnt pay $360 to get the worst package when I’d only be looking to offload excess and would most likely end up losing money on the deal.
$59/mo is a number that effectively kills the platform. If you weed out all the small sellers, you end up with a regular seed bank, and with fewer guarantees on your purchase. Seed prices will go up to reflect it as well. RIP.
Good point, it will be pretty much like a bank and they still don’t vet their products.
They better come up with something reasonable, cuz that’s just retarded.
You want me to pay you more than a seed bank and buy a product completely unvetted! NAH, you can do better than that!
No you’re not cheap, it really should be based on a sales percentage . That way it wouldn’t hurt the little guy , and wouldn’t mess up the whole open source platform. I sent a few emails mentioning , that a percentage would be the best, most fair way to go . otherwise the entire purpose is lost.
True but I think Marks 1 dollar seeds aren’t the norm though. It’s a lot of overpriced shits over-charging for seeds!
I did see one guy selling a lot of MMS packs for less than retail, lmao.
I agree charge the buyer say $2-3 per transaction and the big sellers a set fee… I have sold and traded some seeds on Strainly, but do not sell seeds regularly, so I do not want to pay $60 a month… If I was selling enough to make a living then of course I would not have a problem paying for it…
Kinda my feeling. I got several emails about taking down my listings. I did so, and then it seems like nothing happened. Can’t afford $60/mo either… I think their lack of clarity and decisiveness is damaging their platform and users.
I’ve been thinking about doing a @Tonygreen style RIL line for PPP. It’s so old and crusty, but I have a few other old Afghans that would pair well to it. I’ve been thinking about outcrossing to two of those, and then incrossing to the PPP repeatedly for several generations. As a final step, recombining the two for good vigor.
Your PPP was a very compact plant that produced very hard nugs. It is in jars now and will cure for a few months. Been sampling as I go and it is unusual for a strain to be this potent right after the dry.
If you do and have others…plz count me IN!
I also have your Lowdak but haven’t dropped any yet. (Strainly since I missed them here on OG)

That’s good to know! I found the smell to be very intoxicating. The nugs were very dense on the ones I grew, but it was also packed with seeds, so density and potency are not easy to judge. The only thing I’d want to do is add back some vigor. I am interested in growing it outside in CO hopefully next season.
Did you find any nanners? I weeded out the ones in the females, but wasn’t sure what the males would contribute.
Nope…She grew absolutely clean. NO NANERS and no problems at all. What was interesting was that there was no purple until the final week and then she displayed beautifully. Sorry That I didn’t take pictures.
Sorry for Hijacking this thread, but are the Lowdaks regs or fems?
Indeed. I noticed that myself. No updates that they were finally shutting down (after four or five saying that they were wrapping things up at the end of September). I also got nothing about them staying open either. They seemed to still be active. So I emailed them yesterday and I got this in reply:
Hi there,
We received many emails of support and commitments from members to subscribe to our Premium and Pro plans. We are therefore able to keep going for at least another year.
Thanks for your support.
-The Strainly team
So they are up and running at Strainly for another year at least. Carry on…
