Tents full of happiness and love ft. Bodhi and friends

Haha hell yes! I’m bringing my trusty mag ballast 400w HPS, just in case

Sounds like a great time! and sounds like you learned the proper underground way to grow, haha, what an experience! I’ll have to scope that place out once we get settled. I’ve got about six months to get shit figured out!

Oh yeah, dude, you will love it there for sure. I’m not sure where you’re moving from, but the West Coast is absolutely the Best Coast (corny, sorry haha). My girl and I have been thinking about moving to another country, but at the same time, I’m like,”Fuck that, I love CA…” But really the whole West Coast is amazing. Totally different attitude out here.

Haha… Uh… When I lived in Portland, I was more concerned with, um, drugs other than weed. But I always had a good time there, never really got weird-strung out or anything.

I lived all over. 37th and Hawthorne for a while, then right downtown, then in NW, like NW 25th? I can’t remember. I don’t think I ever made it out near Reed (93rd sounds real far haha), but I did live right near Lewis and Clark when I first moved there. I’ve actually been re-watching Portlandia before bed lately, since The Office isn’t on Netflix anymore. @iamyou_youareme If you wanna get a sense of where you’re going, watch that show haha! It’s pretty spot-on.

Good luck man. We moved from there when it started getting bad in 93. The gangs started getting out of control, and crime was really on the rise. We had a drunk driver run into the neighbors car and run off soon before we moved. It has gotten worse. The last time I talked to a friend there, the city is like a large homeless camp, with trash and fires everywhere.

Its too bad, there were many things I loved about the city. Now I wouldn’t move back for a million bucks. Definitely stay safe friend. We lived on 120th or so block of tibbetts street. It’s between powell and division if memory serves.

Just like that, welcome to overgrow!

Yeah, I hear ya… I’m used to the city life, so that part won’t be too different for me. I’ll definitely keep my wits about me though. My girl is getting her doctorate there, so it’s too big of an opportunity to pass up  Plus Legal weed!

Welcome to OG @Tay555 , glad you figured it out.

It’s funny how everybody’s perception of the same thing can be totally different. I definitely spent a lot of time in the “bad” parts of Portland and never, ever felt unsafe. It wasn’t even close to as unsafe as, like, the projects in Tampa FL, where you would get jumped or even shot just for being there. Or LA, where I’ve lived for the past twenty years (and where I’ve also never felt unsafe, even when I’ve been right smack-dab in the middle of skid row). Portland is soft. Or it was when I lived there, anyway. It just rains a lot haha! Maybe it was because I was friends with a lot of those so-called gangsters to whom you’re referring, I dunno.

You’ll love it there, @iamyou_youareme . I’m stoked for you.

Sounds like you need a better neighborhood.

Thanks man! I agree… haha kind of makes the world go round. Things that are awful for some are great for others:) Same with cannabis even.

I live in the SUBURBS, bro haha! Doesn’t get any more suburban than where I live now. We have a pool and everything haha. I laugh about where we live now every day. So, yeah, I’m good.

Well, I just wanted to make sure you knew what was up. I went from the city to cow Town, so it works either way with certain uncomfortable moments. :joy:

Perception can be very different for sure. I totally agree with that. I’m a different person then when I lived there also. You must be a tough dude, I have no desire to even visit LA, let alone live there. Being friends with those guys probably made a difference I’m sure.

One thing is for certain about Portland though, it is a trashy town now for sure. It was still nice when I lived there as far as appearances go. Now it’s more like a slum, and getting worse. I sure hope it is kind to Iamyou. It will be a benefit for his lady to finish out her education. Let us know how it’s going for sure

Weekend update:

The big tent is getting filled. I think I’m just going to let the four plants finish out in here and break down. The two MWCB in the back are filling out with buds, the one on the left seems hungry, I may bump her feed up a little bit. Definitely two different phenotypes going on, the one one the left has more slender buds, looks like she’s going to take longer.

Polynesian Thin Mint - looks like she’s about to explode

Same with this Sunshine Daydream…

This Sunshine Daydream is just about ready to be trimmed up.

And here’s Useful Seed’s Black Lime Special Reserve f4 that was just flipped to flower… will be moving these to their permanent home shortly. They’re under CMH so the color is a little weird.

Cheers! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Just in case anyone was curious on the Sunshine Daydream tent shootout… it was almost dead even yield on both plants, hahaha. I almost couldn’t believe it. I guess I should have defoliated harder… but I"m not complaining about the results!

SSDD A - Non-Defoliated - 185.48 grams
SSDD B - Defoliated - 185.28 grams

The MarsHydro SP250 draws 196watts full power… so 185.48 + 185.28 = 370.71g/196w = 1.89g/w

I know that formula simplifies things, and is not a true measure I’ve grams per watt, but it’s what I use as a benchmark. Pretty happy with the results, almost a P from a 2x4 :upside_down_face:

Here’s the jars, I don’t typically fill them up this much, but I’m outta jars, which isn’t a bad problem to have!

A p from a 2 x 4 I hit religiously.
Very much obtainable.
That’s not even using new fangled lights the old hps 600w air cooled even.

Helluva read and an awesome log. Great job.

Great job. Those SSDD look gorgeous. I’m glad I got to see almost a p out of a 2x4. Hoping I can do that well when I get set back up!

8 plants
2gal. Pots
Month and a half of veg
600w air cooled hps inline fan
One 10" turbo fan blowing straight up at the light directly underneath.

2 z avg, not a problem
If you can’t hit this mark at least.

I’d hang it up

Cookbook of success

Decided to turn all my tents to flower before the move, hopefully that will keep me stocked until I can start up again

Maui Wowie Cherry Bomb’s in the back are about 45 days from flip. The Polynesian Thin Mint (right side) and SSDD (left side) are running a couple weeks behind them.

In the 3x3 there are 4x Useful Seed’s reproduction of Black Lime Special Reserve f4 - interesting smells coming from stems, but nothing definable yet. They didn’t stretch too much, except for the oddball in the back left.

In the 2 x 4, I’ve flipped another SSDD (left), Pura Vida f2 pheno1 (middle), and Black Triangle pheno3 (right).

And finally in the 2 x 3, the old mom tent, I’ve got Purple Wookie v2 (left) and my sad Goji OG mom (right), and an unknown volunteer from the bubble hash trash, that were flipped same time as the 2 x 4.

Looks good. I’m pretty curious to see how that Black Lime f4 turns out. I have a serious grudge against Aficionado haha (it’s a long story…).

I don’t know what states you’re gonna have to drive through on your way to Portland, but with all that weed, be careful. Some places are like fucking police states. About twelve or thirteen years ago, I “moved” to Austin (and moved right back to LA two weeks later haha)(Austin might be “liberal” for TX, but it’s not THAT liberal) and just outside El Paso, to the east, the cops were diverting every single car off of the freeway and into this, like, search zone thing. I don’t know what else to call it. They went around every car with the mirrors to get a look underneath and also had dogs smelling every car. I was like,”What the fuck? This is a serious violation of my civil rights…” Luckily, I’d been sober for five years at the time, so I didn’t have anything on me, but still… It’s weird out there, man haha. It’s why I don’t like to leave CA. Ever.

Yeah, I don’t think any seeds should ever be as expensive as theirs. but what do I know :man_shrugging:

I’m interested to see how they turn out too, wish I could have made f5’s but space/time did not allow.

Yeah, fuck driving across the country with a bunch of cannabis. Especially since where I’m headed is legal. Maybe vacuum pack some shit and hide it real well in stuff that is getting shipped out (driven, not by me) there, but even that I’m uncertain about. I know that states bordering legal states are probably on high alert, so I definitely won’t be taking any chances! I won’t have to go through Texas, thankfully
