Tents full of happiness and love ft. Bodhi and friends

Yeah, any of those mid-West states like Nebraska and shit really weird me out. Oklahoma. Iowa. All of them are really fucking weird. No better than the South, where I grew up.

Double-vacuum seal the weed and wipe down the outsides with rubbing alcohol or Lysol or something. It’d be a shame to have to forego this harvest, but if it makes you stress less about the move, you gotta do what you gotta do. Moving’s stressful enough as it is. I don’t recall ever being as agitated as I was when we moved into our new house. I won’t lie, I got super-bitchy and irritable. And that was only an eight or nine mile trek haha. Plus, my girl hired movers haha! It wasn’t even like we had to move everything ourselves. But man, I was in the worst mood for the week or so that it took us to get into the new house.

But once you get to Portland, you can be like,”Yessssssss. Freedom…” Such a good feeling.

Yup, it’s gonna be weird leaving the south… but the laws won’t be missed.

Yeah, that definitely won’t happen, haha. I give away a bunch to family and friends, so it will most certainly go to good use. Just need enough to get me to August and I’ll be all set

Yeah, moving blows, there is no good way to do it unless you’re just loaded and can pay someone to do everything for you. Still finding a new place, leases, getting everything set up again… such a pain. Gonna to try and treat it as an adventure though and make the best of it.

It’s gonna be weird not being paranoid about growing a damn plant anymore

It’s gonna be fucking AWESOME. And you don’t even realize the side-benefits, like where you can just freely smoke a joint on your porch and not even think about it haha. No worries. Or just living somewhere where you know nobody really gives a shit about weed. Or, I mean, Jesus Christ, didn’t Portland just decriminalize all drugs? Living somewhere where nobody gives a shit about drugs is a damn good feeling.

Yeah, I think they did for small amounts… which is cool with me.

I’ve been microdosing psilocybin for a while now with pretty good results. So definitely think people should have access to that type of medicine.

Any other mushroom growers around here?

Here’s some Lion’s Mane I harvested recently…

That’s pretty kick-ass. Is Lion’s Mane psychedelic? Or just a delicious mushroom? Haha.

I’ve been considering growing my own ‘shrooms for a while now. Depression and panic attacks are a big thing with me, especially with this whole quarantining thing. Although I actually haven’t had a panic attack in a while, which has been great. I was thinking micro-dosing might help me. At the same time, I’m not one for doing much of anything in small doses (weed’s about the only thing I can do just two or three hits of and be satisfied). I could see myself starting off with a micro-dose and then just eating a handful haha.

How difficult is it? Growing your own ‘shrooms, I mean.

I have to visit portland and oregon in general one of these days. Wouldn’t mind moving there.

It’s just delicious… I took these a little late, I should have gotten them a little earlier. The Lion’s Mane has a lobster/crab/scallop taste to it, works well as a seafood substitution. It’s also supposed to promote neurogenesis, some people take them as supplements.

Glad you haven’t had a panic attack in awhile, that’s awesome, cause those definitely suck. You may find microdosing beneficial. For me it helps with creativity and approaching problems in a positive manner, and seems to help me appreciate life more. You really want to only take a very small amount, nothing like a full blow trip, you really shouldn’t experience any psychedelic effects, or that means the dose is too high. Of course, it’s always good to do a macro dose every now and then, as long as you’re at a comfortable space in life

Pretty damn easy. If you can grow cannabis, you can grow your own shrooms. Sterilization is the hardest part about mushroom growing. If you don’t have a pressure cooker or similar it makes it pretty challenging. You’ll also need a space where you could setup a still-air-box to inoculate your agar plates and/or jars. If you’re seriously interested in starting up, I suggest you check out shroomery.org and poke around on the forums. Like anything, it takes a lot of research and time to get everything prepped, but once you have the concepts down, and the materials, the actual physical work of doing it all is pretty damn easy. Let me know if I can help you, or anyone interested out

I agree with everything you have posted here. 100% I have found microdosing mushrooms to help me long term as well as be an effective remedy for my girlfriend to get off of antidepressants.

Yeah me too  getting ready to move there and haven’t even visited yet!

That’s awesome, glad to hear it! Do you grow your own? I’ve only grown cubensis, would love to attempt some other species eventually.

I’ve done cubenesis only myself.

Just a quick update on the Black Lime Special Reserve… they’re all looking good, but this one (back left corner in tent) seems faster than the others and putting on some good early frost. Smells are straight up lime rinds/peel/zest on all the plants. I was pretty amazed that each girl is producing near identical odors right now… that may change though. They’re definitely living up to their name so far!

MWCB’s are fading fast… not sure what’s up with them, maybe they’re getting close? They don’t really look the happiest. I’ve been feeding the same nutrient levels through the whole grow… maybe they were chronically under-fed? They definitely don’t like being right up close to the COBs… These pics are at day 60.

The Polynesian Thin Mint is trucking right along… seems happy

And the lone Sunshine Daydream, she stretched a lot more than the ones in the small tent, but the buds are bigger… thanks Timber

I’ve read that a lot of pure Sativas don’t like high nutrient levels, maybe that has something to do with the MWCB’s not looking so hot. They really don’t look that bad to me; my plants always have some nasty crispy leaves near the end (does that mean I’m a Bad Grower?). What’re you feeding them? I thought you were growing organic.

Yeah it could be that they just don’t like whatever they’ve been getting. I’m running coco, so I feed with every watering (Canna A and B)… every plant gets the same water/nutes. Certain ones just don’t like it. Whatever… I try to KISS in my grow. The ones that are happy I consider keeping around. But I’m getting ready to switch to organic beds in my next place, so I won’t be hooked on the bottle anymore :expressionless:

Nice. I think you’ll find it’s so much easier and less labor-intensive than coco/hydro/whatever. And there’s a really good organic gardening place right outside Portland, in Milwaukie, which is basically just a suburb of Portland. It’s where I ordered my rock dust from last time, twenty bucks for a fifty pound bag. But I looked at their website just out of curiosity when I was ordering and they had a lot of stuff that you don’t normally find at “regular” gardening centers.

Thanks for the head’s up… I’m gonna to try and source as much stuff as I can locally, and I know I’ll need to pick up some amendments when I get setup again. What’s everyone doing as an organic water-only mix these days? Coot’s mix? Super soil? I’ll probably check out Build-a-Soil and try to replicate some of their mixes, I’ve heard pretty good things.

I’d love to get setup with my Blumats again, in a big organic 4x4 bed, maybe raised on casters, so I could move it around if needed… Does Portland have good water? Maybe I’ll need an RO system?

I’ve the got seed popping’ blues, I’m gonna have to start some peppers or tomatoes or something to get me through the next few months!

Update on the Black Lime Special Reserve… everything bulking up. Very Lime-y odors still, not overwhelmed by the typical skunk/cannabis smell, very crisp and sharp, sour. Favorite plant so far is the one in the back left corner, even though she’s showing some damage on her upper leaves. She’s got the most frost and bulking the most so far… I busted out the remaining Black Triangle pollen I had and dusted a few branches of the BLSR to see if it’s still good, maybe I’ll end up with some Double Black Lime Reserve seeds :stuck_out_tongue:

I use coots mix, but someone said there is better out there for indoor growing. They thought it was too dense. It hasn’t really been in my experience, and we’ve tried to overwater some of ours.

Cool, I like a well draining mix… I’ve found the plants definitely need the aeration to get oxygen to the roots. I think Coot’s has been the “base” organic mix for awhile and everyone kinda puts their own spin on it.

We were still watering 3 gallon fabric pots once a day in flowering.
