Tents full of happiness and love ft. Bodhi and friends

Correct, at least for the back two. The front two are new soil. Definitely think they’re drinking less just because the soil has broken down more and is more compact. I emailed BAS to see how they go about removing the roots in the rez, cuz plenty of ones from last round are still down there. They recommended adding plant ferments to compost the roots. I tried to vacuum most of them out with a shop vac. I saw afterwards that some dude in Hawaii asked them the same question on one of their FAQ videos, he is on like his 5-6 round no-til on the earthboxes. So it is possible to do no-til, for a little while at least… Eventually I’ll need to dump and amend again, but might try to do 3-4 rounds no-til. I did grow a cover crop in between cycles, and chopped all of it right before I planted the clones in the SIPs. All of it has been pretty much broken down by whatever is living under those covers.

Gotta keep you guys and gals on your toes, it keeps the blood movin’!

Most def, they are some bushy bushes, really curious to see how the buds turn out. I bet they’d blow up outside, they seem to want more than I’m giving them.

In earthboxes, I always dumped and reammended after each run. The 27gals sips I am going to no till and see how far I can get before a dump. I love that sips are new tech and we are all experimenting and pushing these things! Following along with ya man!

Yeah, I’d love to see how far you could take them without dumping the soil, I mean that’s the lazy stoner’s dream, right? Just keep adding water and throw some stuff on top every now and again… I’m sure you’ll get diminishing returns eventually. Thanks for following along!

It’s Friday, everybody get your freak on, whoop whoop!

DLA 5 S1

Casper OG

Vietnam Black S1

Fishscales (ECSD x ESCD x Crippy)

GMO x BT - looks like 4 girls, one possible herm. Both BB x Silver Lotus were male.

SIP Tent - explosive growth - everything finishing stretch and starting to bud.

Key Lime Pie

RudeBoi OG 7

Casper OG

Agent Orange

I really dig the RudeBoi OG 7, it gets me faced every time I smoke it and it has a really great flavor and nose. That’s why I’m growing it again this round. It also presses to rosin really really nicely, great returns on flower. I wasn’t impressed with the Hazmat OG with the same Face Off OG dad, but this one has me excited to for the Casper OG using the same dad crossed to Ghost OG.

Starting a little hype project for myself, I started to STS reverse a spare T-1000 clone, I’m going to (hopefully) make S1s as well as cross to my other clones and see what comes from it.

Oh and also, almost done shucking Silver Lotus beans… early smoke test actually knocked my socks off! Very uplifting high and strong and long lasting, the nose turned out better than expected too.

Need to get some flips and washers and can send some out, hit me up if you want any!

Think I’ll kick off the weekend with a beer and bong hit, y’all take care! :green_heart:

Looking good bud! Your sips are taking off! Love the sound of that silver lotus! I need to get crackin’ on the seed makin’

The first one smells kinda like pickles, but strong odor to it, like just super strong cannabis
The second is more of the floral side, but still some acrid funk back there. Really excited to see how the buds form. Thy’ve probably doubled their size, but not much internode spacing.

Nothing really yet, it’s little early. I did smoke some hash rosin of Key Lime Pie and the flavor was amazing, definitely some key lime in there, little backend cookie sweetness. My first time growing her, so not sure what to expect really. The Silver Lotus really surprised me, which is always nice! Hope those snow monkeys turn out great for ya and enjoy that bowl!

Thanks man, send me a DM an I’ll send some to ya. Seed making is fuckin’ easy. I think a lot of people overthink it, probably 75% of lines we have now were made by accident. Just find something you enjoy and run with it.

Never thought of making seeds much before but after joining og I’m looking to get a extra tent to try to do some pollen chucking

Nice job with the Silver Lotus! Good to hear the high lived up to expectations - I found the same with sampling my Goji finger hash - really pleasant nice sativa. Snow lotus really does seem to pass on pleasant sativa effects.

I think I’m starting to get the hang of this rosin pressing stuff.

I did a test round of pressing in preparation for processing the Lemon Party, which is sitting in the freezer still.

Today I made hash rosin, after running some smalls and trim to water hash. I combined the 120u and 73u water hash after drying (no freeze dry). I then sieved the combined hashish through a kitchen strainer that had been in the freezer and a cold metal spoon. Which gives you something like this:

I filled my filter bags with a funnel, My 37u press bags are only 2x3" so I split the batch into two bags and did one press at 170f and the other press at 185f, the higher temp yielded slightly more. I pre-formed and gently pressed the bags by pressing them lightly on the rosin plates with parchment covering them. Once formed, I positioned and then I very gradually increased pressure until close to max, and left under pressure/heat for approximately 2 minutes. Ended up with this:

I like how some of it sugared right up along the edges.

Anyone want a dab?

I didn’t weigh the hash to begin with, so I have no idea on the return, but it was decent enough, especially for stuff that usually gets thrown away or is too much of a pain to trim. I’m gonna do a cold cure with this one, but may experiment with a hot cure with the next batch and see if I can make some diamonds and sauce.

Seeing my results without freeze drying the hash first gives me some hope that I can end up with a decent product without having to make that investment. Those HarvestRight units are like $2,750-3,000, whew! Maybe I could borrow one for a processing fee though

I highly recommend throwing your fruit and veg kitchenscraps into your beds.
It works great! It’s the variety that makes it work.
With kitchenscraps you get aaaaall the minerals + a load of carbohydrates.
And it’s free!

Also worm towers:

Oh for sure! I throw all my kitchen scraps in a blender with a bunch of cannabis leaves and little water and then pour the mixture in my worm bin, and let them take care of it. I already notice that I have a a good bit of worms in my beds too, so they must be reproducing down in there. I like to have the castings already processed before going into my inside beds though, keeps things a little cleaner. I’d totally do this on my outside beds though, seems super easy and beneficial.

Gawddamn, dude, looks like you got pretty good returns. I mean, I dunno how much material you started with, but still… haha.

I’ve read that the higher the temps, the better the yields, but the quality supposedly kinda suffers. I’ve also personally found that I always get better yields right around where you pressed, 185-195. I can’t speak to whether or not there’s a difference in quality; on the rare occasions when I bust out the press, everything’s gotten me high as shit, no matter the temp I pressed at haha.

Yours looks real good, though, man, nice job.

Thanks man! Yeah, I should have weighed everything out before hand, but honestly I was just trying not to fuck it all up, haha. I was pretty damn sure all that hash was gonna get stuck in the bag or some shit, or not melt or burn up, or turn out shitty. Then all that work, straight down the drain… But it came out quite nice and more than I expected, so that’s a win in my book.

Yup, for sure have seen this info too, but I can’t really speak to the quality difference either. I can say that the filter bags make a big difference in the quality of flower rosin though. Also the pre-press mold or whatever definitely increases my yields. I tend to like the flower rosin pressed on the lower side, around 185f. After you leave it out room temp for a few days it budders up nicely, much easier to work with.

Amen to that, almost everything rocks my socks in rosin form. I keep most of it stashed away for special occasions or when friends visit or whatever. It is nice that it takes up less room than all these damn quart and half gallon jars though.

Really? That’s interesting. I used the filter bags the first few times I pressed and then was just like,”Fuck it…” and have always just molded the weed or whatever and pressed it, sans bags. Like I said, it all gets me pretty high. I feel like you’d have to be a serious connoisseur to be able to tell the difference.

Thanks for that tip. I always throw it in the fridge pretty much immediately after I press.

How’d you make that hash you pressed, btw? I’ve got the five-bag thing, never used them before, but I’m gonna make some hash outta the Bandaid Haze and C. Gold x DE trim in the next day or two. Had it in the freezer for a few weeks now, it’s stinky! I can smell it in the Seed Fridge in the garage from like ten feet away. Went and bought a ton of ice a couple days ago, chilling some water…. I was just planning on doing the ol’ “put the ice and the trim in a bucket, stir for ten minutes, let it sit and then strain it through the bags” method. But if you know a better way (and feel like typing haha), I’m all ears.
