The Bank of Stank

This interests me because I’m really thinking of moving up to 5 gal. So why are you running larger pots if you don’t see any difference in using the 3 gals?

Here’s a 6 week bud porn feast for the eyes. Everything is looking really good and I just want the next couple weeks to get here already. Out of 14 plants I will have seven that are new to me or from seed (Pandora’s Box, NL#5 p7, Lemon Party S1, Triangle Kush S1, Zkittlez S1, Kush Mints, and La Confidential)

The Tampa Crippy. Still one of my favorites I will probably hold for a while.

LA Confidential. Not much smell but super tight crystally buds. Looking to finish fast.

MAC1. I still can’t settle on this one. Sometimes the smoke floors me, other times not so much. It’s elusive and so I’ll likely keep it going. Not huge on the flavor though. My friends really like this one.

CSI Zkittlez S1. This floppy stretchy plant is making some seriously big buds. Smells great just like the last time I grew these seeds. It was some of my favorite smoke that round and this plant is doing much better all around then before.

CSI Freebie S1 (Mystery Cultivar x Lemon Party). Just reeks of lemons but not sugary fake lemons, like older overripe lemons.

CSI Triangle Kush S1. This reeks of pine. Not very impressive in any other department but I’m excited for the pine smells.

Kush Mints smells delicious. Very stretchy plant but is making some nice buds.

Pandora’s Box. Maybe my most favorite smelling plant this grow. It has a green apple candy smell to it. Very excited for this one. Nice dense and long colas. Will likely grow it again to see if the mystery herm branch follows the clone.

Last run of Purple Punch. I took the last one at 7 weeks but I’ll go to 8 on this one. Definitely the fastest flowering out of them all. And the smoke has been growing on me now that it’s cured nicely.

NL5 pheno7. Also smells great, very strong of fruit and skunk. Buds are starting to bulk up nicely.

Super Lemon Haze. Almost no lemon smell but lots of sweet bubblegum. Great smoke, easy plant to grow, good yields but I’m still likely getting rid of it in favor of new things. The high is not good enough to compete with others like the Crippy.

I dunno. Because that’s what you’re “supposed” to do? Haha. It does kind of give me a little peace of mind at the beginning of flower, knowing that odds are good I’m not gonna have to worry about the plants running out of steam or whatever. But I’ve actually been considering, for this grow that I’m starting tomorrow (supposed to start it today but I have too much shit to do)(for once), using a mix of five- and seven-gallon pots. It kind of depends on how many females I end up with. I may even use some of my three-gallons if I end up with more than a 50/50 M/F ratio.

I may still start that grow today, just depends on how quickly I get the rest of my shit done. I’m itching to get growing again, though. The first few weeks of this little month-long hiatus were actually kinda nice, not having to deal with anything. But the last few days… Gotta plant some seeds.

When I use 3 gallons my plants dry out too often with my work schedule, 5/7/10 gals I have more of a cushion with my water schedule

I’ve never had that problem. Watered the three-gallons the same as the other, bigger pots: every-other day.

Yea, sometimes I’m away from home 3 or 4 days at a time, i need the bigger pots fir that reason alone if not for bigger plants

This just doesn’t look like what I think LA Confidential should look like. I was expecting leafier buds and bigger calyxes. This looks more like a cookies type plant or something, but it is finishing really fast. At 45 days now it doesn’t look like it will go much longer than another week. This was one of the fastest growing, largest, and hungriest plants this round. It had these massive fans that have since all dropped. I’m going to grow her another time and see if I can do better.

Man those buds are beautiful. Love the colors in that MAC. But really all of them! I got a chub staring at those. :grimacing::grin::joy::rofl::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

LOL so it’s not just me! I honestly can get pretty horny staring at mature buds. Maybe I’m just a hornball and it doesn’t take much.

Man, the colors on that are astounding!! :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

Why do you think that doesn’t look like legit LA Confidential? I’m just curious. From everything I know, LA Confidential is like some kind of cherished Afghani cut, right? Just judging from that one pic, yeah, maybe that doesn’t look like a super-Afghan hashplant-type plant. You got any pics of the whole plant?

I expected the LAConf to have wider/darker leaves in general like an Afghani. But I really don’t know anything about the strain or what should be expected. The pictures vary wildly on the net. It looks like mine matches the picture from The Clone Conservatory https://www.thecloneconservatory.com/product/la-confidential/.

Here she is when she just started flowering. Biggest fan leaves in the tent but narrow instead of wide. (Peep that weird forked fan, biggest on the lower right).

All the other clones I’ve received from PNWStrainHunters have matched the description, so I guess this is legit. Can’t wait to try some.

i never had a purple LA con. i mean its beautiful though and looks amazing. but out of 10 seeds from dna genetics most were light green yellowish looking really kushy. but there are so many variations and yours looks really good

I mean, yeah, I kinda see what you’re saying. But that plant looks like it’s sorta squat, tighter internodes etc. Maybe the leaves aren’t all that fat, but she looks legit, for sure. Maybe that was the thing with LA Confidential: narrower leaves, but short and stout. I dunno. She looks good, though.

Sometimes our expectations cloud our judgement. It’s why I try to go into every grow with zero preconceived notions about how the plants are “supposed” to turn out. That usually doesn’t work out haha, but I still try, you know?

That’s good advice. Gonna pocket that little nugget

At 53 days everything is looking so good. I find serenity while calming my snipping hand by reciting the Nug Harvester’s Prayer:

Jah, grant me the serenity to accept the nugs that are not yet ready;
courage to wait a few more days for those that are;
and the Wisdom to know the dfference.

The Triangle Kush S1 from CSI Humboldt is swelling nicely now. The resin production is kicking up as well. Really excited to try this piney treat, and to compare with the legit TK cut.

And the Mystery Cultivar x Lemon Party (also CSI) is getting swole too. Greasy trichs with lemon dank smells through the roof. Loud as they say. I obviously have no idea what the mystery male could be, but growing right next to this TK makes me think it could be a TK mom.
