Photo Dump on the main tent and seed project plants. As mentioned previously, I’m seeing some deficiencies and am a bit embarrassed by the look of these plants but it is what it is. Obviously my soil amending needs some tweaking but I’ll get there!

This is day 38F for all plants and about 10 days since pollination.

Headband x Chem D #1 (aka Wild Child) this one did not get pollinated as I’m not crazy about the structure.

HB x Chem D #2 (also did not get pollinated due to structure)

HB x Chem D #3 (nice structure + pollinated a few branches)

HB x Chem D #4 (also nice structure + pollinated a few branches)

All HB x Chem D plants have similar terps. Super stinky leaning towards puke and fart gas haha. Sounds gross but it’s gross in a good way.

GMO x Obama #1 (this is the most squat of the 3)

GMO x Obama #2 (similar height to 1, green pheno, beautiful colours in the buds)

GMO x Obama #3 (great structure, tallest pheno, I thinks she’s a GMO leaner, starting to purple a little)

All GMO x Obama plants have a funk in the front with sweetness in the back end. Earthy.

G Fume smelling real funky similiar to the HB x Chem D plants but a bit different. Burnt rubber, glue sort of smells come to mind.

I mixed my pollen in with some flour when I pollenated, so it’s just some residual flour. I washed them off but apparently just not good enough and a few specs of flour stuck to the plant. I’ll probably make it “rain” in there again tonight to wash everything off again.

You could also be seeing some thrip damage. I had a battle with them at flip for 2-3 wks. I haven’t been able to spot any more on the leaves but I’ve been keeping a keen eye out.

Thought it was probably pollen as you said, you were making seeds, but I did think it looked a bit Thrippy, as well, if that is even a word

You’re not wrong… it’s definitely “thrippy” haha, as previously mentioned. I believe I knocked them back significantly in the first 3 wks after flip bc I can’t seem to see any under the leaves but I’m keeping an eye on things. I discontinued the IPM foliar though after day 20 of flower and have been crossing my fingers at this point…

So a little update for you all. I Knew something was up with the plants in the main tent so I’ve been scoping the plants regularly with my jewellers loupe! Finally one night I’m staring at a bud and a damn adult thrip comes waltzing out! I’m so sick of this shit. The plants suffered a bit of drought on the wknd because I had to leave town and when I came back they were yellowing out hard. It reminded me of the time I had thrips when I did my Pinks N Purps seed run. The plants are starting to look very similar. They just do not look as developed as they should be but they don’t look terrible. Anyway, I’m looking into some beneficial insects from Koppert. It’s time to drop the fkn hammer on these little bastards! Obviously the eggs survived my down period last summer and hatched again. Hoping some beneficials can start killing them off bc this shit is frustrating. I don’t think I’ll get fully developed seeds on this run but I have back up plants. Overall I’m disappointed but it happens and I have more seeds than time.

The micro grow is going great though!zero thrip damage on these beauties. Despite a few deficiencies, I would say it has been a big success so far. They’re almost finished! I’m going to take them to 70 days I think… some longer.

This Sherbert Fallen Soldier is ridiculous. Smells insane. Super fizzy Sherbert with citrus and fruit funk. It’s making my mouth water. I’m revegging this one for sure.

Lots of killer cultivars in here @NorthNorthNugs that GMO x Obama has been on my list for a while. I keep wanting to throw down some fallen soldiers but always end up leaving them out. I gotta start throwing some in as I’ve seen absolute gems come out of those packs especially the Chem 1 FS.

It’s been a long hiatus. I know all 4 of you who read my thread missed me a lot but FEAR NOT!! I am back with more drawn out posts that me blabbing about growing! So sit back, light a joint and come on a journey with me…

The micro grow was a huge success! The plants all turned out great with no signs of pest pressure. Super terpy plants with frosty buds! Each yielded roughly a half oz with 1 or 2 yielding closer to a full oz.

Stand outs included the Sherbert Fallen Soldiers, Trumps Candy 7 x Obama, Sour Sorbet and Purple Moby Dick. These were the terpiest plants with the best structures IMO. Grape God from from Next Generation, which I let run for 3 additional weeks, was also a stand out! I’m loving the way this one smells in cure.

Enough reading! Here are some pics:

TC7 x Obama. Super dank, creamy, deep berry, wine terps on this one. I haven’t sample yet but I can’t wait. This is the only one I’ve cured in a Grove bag. So far it smells insane.

Here’s the best pheno of Sherbert Fallen Soldier from CSI… looking a bit like Rainbow Belts and smelling absolutely amazing. That fizzy candy, fruit terp has stayed strong during cure. Also can’t wait to sample!

Here are some phenos of the Sharon White Widow x C99. I’m getting some earthy, cheese smells from the jars and something else I can’t put my finger on… it’s very unique and in a good way.

Pheno 1 of Phantom Cookie Domina didn’t make it unfortunately! Nasty bud rot…

Same with this 1 pheno of Purple Banana Cream that I was super excited about… oh well.

Here’s the Purple Moby Dick (Jack Herer x Purple Afghani). Head snaps back when you open the jar! It’s probably the loudest jar. My first time growing anything with Jack Herer and I’ve heard ppl talk about terpinolene but never experienced it. At least that’s what I THINK that is. It’s like nothing I’ve smelled before and it’s super loud… hints of grape and berry in the background.

Another pheno of Sherbert FS which is very great just not as loud as the other one.

Sour Sorbet, probably the frostiest plant. Smells amazing too, real sour, a bit of fuel, fruit, kush. Up there with the best of them!

Purple Romulan from Next Generation smelling like grapes and berries, really nice. Structure not the best but I’m liking what’s coming out of the jar.

Here’s the one Purple Banana Cream that did make it. Actually does have a bit of banana in the background. Not full on but it’s definitely there IMO.

Here’s the Phantom Cookie Domina I let go for an additional 3 weeks, happy I did.

All plants were chopped, leaving some material on the bottom to attempt a re-veg! I really hope I get that TC7 x Obama, the one Sherb Fallen Soldier, Sour Sorbet and Purple Moby Dick to go!

I’ll get some shots of the cured buds for next time.
