I’m sad to hear about the bud rot :pensive:
Think this is the second or third time I’ve heard about it on this line. Outdoors is one thing I can’t test for when it comes to selection. She looks close enough though! Looks nice and dense too. Did a nice job growing her out! Hope she smokes even better

A couple last updates as everything has been harvested by now, I asked for smoke reports but these boys don’t really nerd out on it as much as we do but they were all stoked with the end results. Thanks again to all seed providers/breeders :raised_hands:t4:

The @HolyAngel SSDD F2 BX1’s came out great

@Guitarzan Maui Mango Haze #4, unfortunately caterpillars were brutal for the grower this year. Reports on the smoke, nice clean heady sativa high.

That Blueberry cookies that turned pink was the best stuff my friend has ever smoked in his opinion and he used to be my bong brother so I know he’s smoked a lot of early 90’s skunk.

The Key Lime Pie x T-1000 was a big crowd pleaser too @iamyou_youareme thanks again bro.

Looks like we’ll have some of @KETAMINE_GRENADE fine work in mix next season, stoked. Cheers mate

Hey convicts newbie asking for a long shot here haha.
I havent had much luck finding reputable affordable seedbanks online and with growing season quickly approaching i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with some outdoor autoflowers to learn more with, i was lucky enough to have an old smoking mate who had 2 white label amnesia haze autos and hes hopefully bringing 2 white label northern lights autos if he remembers where he put them aha,
I germinated one amnesia and planted the seedling straight into a 15L fabric pot 7 days ago(ill try upload some photos of her shortly last i checked she wasnt dping the best) i also made a mess of soil mix from bunnings and believe ph is all wrong.
I have decent living soil mix, full water ph kit, veg and flower noots and a flush getting shipped as we speak from dr greenthumbs as well so hopefully better medium but im tempted to test one in the ground soil, i have a tomato vine going stupid in my backyard i can plant next to itll be decently hidden from prying eyes and it gets great sun all day

I’m realising now after my last post maybe only going autos isn’t the best idea

Right on Fatty! I’m glad to finally get down to you. You might get a duplicate in a couple days. I sent 2 exact envelopes about a week apart to up my odds.

Oh excellent! Looking forward to seeing some cooking under the southern hemisphere. Note: The Odisha Valley is an Indian landrace/heirloom that was collected from local gorilla farmers and sent over by a fellow grower from the region. Happy hunting!!

Hey Fatty while I’ve got you, I’ve managed to get one Mullumbimby Madness from Kangativa old stock above ground. I also received some crosses with it, but apparently this one is a pure representation of his take on MM. Do you have any insights into Kangas stock specifically?

I’m on the central coast NSW Fatty

Wow, definitely have to keep at least one pack of these for myself. Sounds killer

I do know his stock is legit, tag me in that grow if you are documenting it please mate. I still can’t really say if I’ve smoked the original MM but the terps description and flavour profile definitely seems familiar to some stuff circulating in the 90’s that we used to grow. Lemony and sticky.

I grew up in the South growing and smoking a lot of Skunk and Super Skunk, very orange looking flower with an unforgettable strong dog/baby shit smell. We don’t have skunks in Aus so we had no comparison. Mullumbimby is on the east coast, NE NSW… hippy vill!

Good old Mullumbimby aha.
I’m stuck in suit n tie vill a bit here being between Sydney and Newcastle.
Does anyone have any plants going atm and if so what sorta setup you guys running.
I went and ordered a led light for myself too last night finally so no more windows with a cfl bulb

My recollection of MM is more earthy, small tight bud with long orange hairs. First time I had it I saw flashing lights, it was levels stronger that the average fluffy larf going around at the time… Very SE Asian in look. I scored some seeds from an old guy in Coffs recently that are supposedly a MM/Old Mother mix, so if I can get some to hatch I’ll grow some out this coming season to see if they are legit. Good to see a thread focused on us convict growers

This is how I remember it too but more on the brighter green side, not so orange and with a lemony piney taste and smell. Maybe a different pheno or maybe it wasn’t MM at all, hard to say. It was a period(92ish) where everyone wanted that biker grown indoor skunk and outdoor stuff never got the attention it deserved or even left to finish properly… it was all labled “bush” and sold for next to nothing.

Yeah, I think most of the ‘bush’ weed here was originally SE Asian, and MM became a brand, so it’s hard to know what is what. I’m not going to be anything like convinced the beans I have are the real MM until they are grown out and even then who really knows.

I remember the days when you couldn’t even shift bush bud because nobody wanted it, even the good stuff, a fuckton of old school Aussie heirlooms got lost over that period unfortunately. It would be great to resurrect and preserve as many of these as possible before we completely lose them, we got some real treasure in this country.

This is the sad truth.

I remember in around 94 I grew a bunch of skunk varieties outdoors but one was “bush” and because the buds weren’t super tight, come harvest time I wrapped string tightly around all the head buds and they dried like rocks… almost impossible to burn or chop, it ended up like hash almost. I should of just left it and enjoyed a nice equatorial variety, I was unfortunately too young to appreciate the nuisances and if wasn’t sedative broad leaf types I wasn’t interested.

Please tag me mate when you pop those seeds
