This is new to me but I’m an old school kind of guy and only freeze material I don’t intend on using for a long time.
What is the freeze cure process?

Basic dry it down to 58/60% put in a ziplock bag with just enough air to prevent the bag getting totally squished . Then put that bag in a vacuum seal bag , vacuum till it starts to compress seal and toss in the freezer .
Not much to it leave it for min a month ,open and jar . It can actually be stored for several months to a year with no degradation I’ll usually give it a week jarred but can be smoked straight out of the freezer .
This sounds pretty damn close to how to do my normal cure other than the freezing part. I do long term storage with boveda packs inside the vacuum seal
Same process just skipping the humidity packs and it eliminates burping a dozen jars 6 times a day or messing up and getting mouldy buds .
@Indoornesian Thank you brother for the read and info… definitely learned something today
I’ll post some photos later, unfortunately this run has ended on a most sour note, not just the herm but my first time ever experiencing bud rot as well. I took her down last week at 69 days, cut the stalk and it was insanely heavy and insanely sticky, my best tops to date lol, smell was off the charts and at the end was a grape bubblegum/ripe mango/melon deal, I was psyched to start cutting it up and putting into freezer bags for hash. While I was cutting the tops I noticed some discoloration, some brown on very inner sugar leaf stems…I had already bagged up and stuck in the freezer a single main and all of the bottom hermed shit, I’ll take photos for you later but definitely some rot. Humidity was a real bitch this year, really apologize for wasting your time like this man.
Nice and tight bud. I’m hoping my new lighting will get me some looking that good.
I’d claim that one in a heart beat.
I’m sorry to hear about the rot. Nothing is ever a waste of time. Now we know that cross is susceptible to it and the balls may have been triggered by those extra stressors like rot and high RH.
I appreciate you and your effort. Let me know if you want to try again with another cross. Maybe put some engineering controls in for the RH first…fans, dehuey, etc
That looks good. I’m glad she packed it on for you!
Looks good if you want some abuse done to test factors I can throw it into my sog line ups.
Will pay shipping etc.
Looks good like the name
Thanks for that, you’re absolutely right, I suppose this was more of a stress test than anything but I guess that is somewhat valuable as well. I’m taking a week (lol my back is broken so everything takes ten times as long) to do a complete clean and redesign of the room, including more air circulation and a dehumidifier INSIDE of the room lol.
I feel really bad that I couldn’t get you some nice dry flower shots and a smoke report, I considered making some hash with what I had cut the mold out of but knowing my luck I’d take one hit and immediately die lol.
Thank you for the generosity in your offer. I would not be able to start for about a week or so if that is okay, want to get everything perfect in the grow room but would be keen to try any of the Duct Tape crosses, that strain just sounds like a hitter…Sundae Driver x GSOG, Wedding Cake x GSOG or Ice Cream Cake x GSOG…all sound killer. Really I’d try anything you’ve got cooking if there’s something you particularly want to see grown out.
I lost the password to my email address like I do with all my passwords so I’ll inbox you a new one lol.
Sounds yummy but ouch on that 4th picture, my man. Mite damage and webs galore.
I know and working on resolving the mite issue!
looks real nice i would run that
Chop day for the tall one after a 15 week flower, largely due to lower temps early on. Finished out at 4 feet, while the other plant is a squat 2 1/2 feet tall.
