Lake Placid, NY
Gorgeous, tons to do, to many lakes to count and amazing food and beer. I grew up in the ADK and have yet to find some where that matches the beauty. My two pennies

Cuba it is then
I’ll never go to Cuba again. I don’t want to hate on it too hard, but I kinda hate on it hard.

Ask some Californios why they’re fleeing the apocalypse.
Germany, the black forest.
(They’re all moving to Texas and the Texans are not happy about it)
Mrs Foreigner sometimes goes there for work and I’ve yet to tag along but I will one day.
It’s a beautiful environment, absolutely marvelous for hiking trips, and I do believe Germany is rather weed-friendly these days, though I don’t know how far along they’ve come in regards to weed shops. The black forest is not the only forest in Germany worth a visit, but I think it’s the most known and with very good reason.

We stayed here on our honeymoon. Do you scuba dive? The kayak tour through the rock islands is memorable as was blue wall/ blue corner for diving. Incredible! They also have a jellyfish lake you can swim in with millions of them.
I don’t think it’s legal but weed is abundant.
Flew in and straight to the hotel and asked the local check in girl where to get some smoke and she had a dude knocking on my door in 20 minutes.
He had a handful of cigarette sized dubes.
Local price is $1 each. Tourist price was $2.
I bought everything he had and didn’t smoke em all.
Scheduled a boat dive with Sam’s dive and they picked me up on a boat a couple hundred yards from the hotel.
Whil I am waiting on the dock at sunrise I want to smoke and meet a local kid and he takes me on top deck of this big fishing boat with a bunch of folks busy doing things and we blast a doob.
Best vacation I’ve ever been on.
I love Palau
Shorts and tshirt weather
I have never scuba dived but I’d definitely be in to learning. Looks like a lovely place.
I seen dark shadows the size of trucks in the distance.
Swam near a school of reef sharks feeding and met a large napoleon wrasse looking for food. Incredible. You gotta get certified first. You need some time. It’s very easy , just pay attention to your bottom time and read the charts. Always make a decompression stop at 15-20’ and take your time rising up that last fathom
I forgot to mention because I’ve not actually been, but there is an old rasta who lives under the blue mountains in Jamaica, he grows weed and food ect and provides local tours and experiences. He has an air BnB in his tiny village, You can check out the YouTube channel Ras Kitchen who features ‘rasta moko’ heavily. I’ve always wanted to go
Do you live there?
For warm and close, maybe Puerta Peñasco (Rocky Point), or for less touristy, someplace on the Yucatan Peninsula would be incredible.
I’ve also always wanted to go to the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican is kind of a strange place. The resort I was at was on its own island so was kind of insulated but the mainland was…I don’t really know how to describe it…but it was a strange feeling.
@Foreigner aint Panama and Cafe this time.
My other favorite place in the world.
SCOTLAND
Start on the West coast, buy a ferry ticket and travel the beautiful islands of Arran, and Islay, take in Jura …quality sea food. and of course the wonderful Nectar of the finest malt whisky’s .
If you’re into Golf …that’s covered.
So not Cafe and Ron
Sea food and Fine whisky Lol
Good luck

Thanks PJ it looks beautiful. A good friend of mine moved there years ago and I never got around to visiting him. Shame on me.
You know when your wife tries to annoy you on purpose?
Scottish highlands. Hire a car or motor home (RV) and follow the NC500. Plenty of stops for hikes etc. I love it there. Kinda magical
