Yikes hopefully that’s just a bad bone bruise. Depending on which side it’s on it could be your fibula, that’s a much smaller bone and easier to break. It doesn’t really have the “look” of a tibia fracture, but I only play a doctor on TV, a real one will know the answer
Yikes is right, my friend!
I wasn’t really concerned about it until the swelling and pain continued beyond a point where it should have been feeling better with a mere knock on the shin.
I had considered a bone bruise.
Looking at it now, the swelling came down a bit more with my lower leg/foot elevated rest period last night/this AM.
That bruise and bump are better centered on the shin and where it should be relative to the scab.
And, yes…I thought Fibula right off…but it is centered on the Tibia for sure, whatever it is…I don’t play Dr. anywhere…and haven’t for decades!
I’ll have it X-ray’d somewhere. I have a referred out follow-up appointment on the 6th that’s way out of, and in the opposite direction, than the ‘City’. So, I’m not sure where I’ll be considering this is a holiday weekend.
You make a fine Digital Dr., my friend!
Thank you, brother @JoeCrowe!

It’s on!
Some of those background characters, numbers and lines don’t look right…I didn’t expect to see confusing LCD elements in background.
After removing the battery (having just installed it) and reinstalling it it didn’t change
Since this is my first time with the Oasis Caliber 4R I’m not sure if it’s working properly or not.
Will do a search and see what I can find.
IF any of you have experience with this Oasis Caliber 4R please let me know if this is normal.
I dated the package and wrote the time (5pm) on the bag itself, I then put it on top of the Reservoir. It is in the direct path of the A/C air and should be in the best position for this test.
IF it can’t stay under the specified temperature range of 75F on the Res - the range is 65F to 75F - I’ll put it on the shelf I built in the A/C where I broke the vanes out!
And, earlier I mentioned I’d Calibrate the AC Infinity Controller 67 with the Oasis Caliber 4R device and Boveda Calibration Kit test…that was wrong. I’ll calibrate every instrument I have that measures RH and is calibratable.
Once the Controller 67 is proven to be accurate, I’ll use it as a Master to calibrate the others.
I will fully use the 3 months the Boveda Calibration Kit provides to recheck things in those 3 months.
Make it a great night, folks!

Well…
…what in the heck is this?
Outboard side of my left leg.
Relative to the previous scab and the bump picture…(excuse the shadow).
I knew and saw the blood settling in my foot, a lot of it, considering. But it made sense, that’s what injuries like this involving a bruising injury does.
But I didn’t see this until this moment. This does not make sense.
I never thought to look…
It’s on the complete ‘outside’ of my leg. It starts about 4 inches higher on my leg than that scab.
Blood settling UP? Way up?
I’m going to message my VA Clinic now and include the pictures…
I actually made plans for the night…
…I started on it last night, because of course I did!
Spoiler Alert! I should have practiced on the other end, the one less visible! )
I should really have my leg up.
We’ll see
Maybe that new aspect of this injury is my Marine coming out of me? Literally?
Semper Fi - Do or Die!
As a U.S. Marine, maybe I was so drunk one night that I had the EGA tattooed on my outboard leg and it’s spent the intervening decades bleeding through, smudging and fading!!! … and I don’t remember it!!!
Add Edit: There were ??? interspersed among the !!!'s. It looks like Bold & Italic doesn’t like ??? … ?
Add Edit: As I was composing my message to the VA I realized they’ll not likely see it until the 5th . I have an appointment way out of town on 6th. Depending on how it goes between now and tomorrow I may go in to the clinic in town after all.
Edit Add: After giving it some thought, that might be the blood that settled IF I laid down right after having injured it. I don’t remember the timeline exactly. I don’t think I laid right down. Damn it.

It’s possible it’s swelling from a bone injury. I’ve had a surprise fracture that I only discovered because of repeated swelling at different places along my arm. Took two doctor visits to find the reason for the pain and swelling, and a good two months to feel better.
That’s all anecdotal though. I hope your leg is nothing serious and that you’re already on the mend
Hello @lophophora.ca ,
I’m glad to read you healed up fine!
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words, friend!
I hope so too. I can’t spare 2 months, though!
,

Yo, that looks like some kind of hematoma! Sheeeet, if that’s still a problem after a week, it’s serious. I almost thought you had drawn that on your leg with a sharpie! wow
Just some light duty
While the C-clamp I put on that one bucket is still working, the last time I looked it, I know it is not reliable and needed to be addressed now or later. I decided on now.
That is the stake from a “Yard Sign”. I bought a yard sign and they only came in 3 packs, so I have all this hardy wire…I knew I’d find some work for it!
The longest one took more work to shape it (I even filed the working end (where it engages the Netpot) smooth removing the teeth marks left by the Vise Grip pliers) so it doesn’t gouge/damage the Netpot. It also hooks back on itself with a gentle swoop back up.
The short one was quick and dirty but does gouge the Netpots.
The Netpot above is one that I screwed up when I was setting the Girls up. I was cutting a few of the cross pieces out to allow for the already extensive roots and was on the wrong line. Cut the hole where it probably wouldn’t have held the Hydroton - I never tested it. .
IF I only have to make 5 more I’ll probably make the long version.
IF I have to make 17 of the others (including smoothing out the teeth marks left by the Vise Grip pliers), I’d rather not!

Yes, I agree…wow is right!
But, I should have mentioned, I’m on Blood Thinners (Prasugrel).
So my having blood settle is not really unusual…for me. I’ve noticed over the time I’ve been exerting myself around here, that It most often happens in my feet…constantly bending down and getting up seems to cause it.
This is unusual…the location and the amounts.
But, being on blood thinners also explains some of it.
None of us should disclose too much of ourselves online. And, this was my attempt at that.
I couldn’t find a way to be more clear and not tell everything.
I hope you understand.
The extent and duration of this injury is concerning, even to me at this point.
Thank you for the discussion, my friend!
Side Note: And it an effort to not tell too much! Coincidentally, about a week before I injured myself the VA set me up with Compression “system” for the swelling I was already experiencing. Circaid Juxtafit Premium Custom (Lower Legs, Ankle Wraps, Socks and Coverups). I thought best to not to try to put them on with this going on. Weird how life works!
Edit Add: About $400 for each leg. Even though most of my problem with swelling is on my left side they custom fitted me for both sides.

More of a Boveda 75% Calibration Kit update…
…pegged it!
That’s after 7 hours.
It says to allow it 24 hours and that’s what I’ll do.
But, since I was there, something I meant to do before the 10pm feeding and got into the making of Viagrow Netpot/U-Line bucket hooks and blew right past it!
pH…looking good!
E.C. 2.8.
Then the bud forming right there in the doorway.
Green headlamp slightly averted flash on…
Green headlamp fully averted flash on…
And, as you can see the Yellow in both images, that’s the HPS, of course but…
…the other day I said I was late to Lights On.
I wasn’t. Lights On was early! By around a minute early.
Good morning, folks!

Happy 4th of July, America ! (and those that desire to be American!).

Hey folks!
This is where things were after 26+ hours…
…+1%.
This where the other 3 devices were at that time…
I put the Oasis Caliber 4R in the space for about a half hour…
…that may or may not be enough time to get an accurate reading…I just wanted to get some idea of where the #s are. I’m not adjusting the devices until both tests are completed.
Then, I started the second test, the 32% test…7/4 8:20pm CT.
I spent all of my rest session on my back, foot elevated on the rolled up sleeping bag that’s not a sleeping bag (I actually don’t know what it is ). When I got up this morning, I stayed up for about an hour and went back to bed. It’s the only real location I have here to elevate my foot. I have a stack of empty boxes here beside me but it doesn’t work when I’m working at my desk. All the furniture you’d typically find in a “residence” don’t exist here. I replaced lazing furniture with tools and equipment!
I got back up a couple of hours ago and have been fiddling around with things, to include the RH test.
Yes, the swelling went down, again…but now my lower back is hating me! It was my back pain that got me out of bed. It sucks!
I decided not to go the walk-in clinic in ‘town’. I’ll have someone look at it IF I can get into my clinic in the AM or at my pre-scheduled appointment on the 6th.
I’m going to try and stay off my feet for the rest of today, that includes not getting out in the raised rock bed out front to raise on this, my most important day this great nation celebrates
Happy 4th of July, America!
Happy Independence Day!
Make it a great one!

My Dr., the VA Clinic, messaged me and after reviewing the pictures I sent them they recommended I go to ER.
I’m not going to do that.
My leg is feeling much better! Swelling was way down.
Last night I elevated my leg while laying on my side. That was a little different!
The Boveda 32% Calibration Kit looks to be doing its job.
But, at this stage it looks to be reading high. Higher than the +1 from the 75% test.
It still needs another approximate 4 hours remaining in the 24 hour test requirement. And I’ll note here that the graduations in these lower numbers are reduced from the levels above 60%. They compress them
But, check this out!
That is awesome!
That’s with the A/C ducts pointing away from my desk!
I don’t want to get out there in this heat, but this lawn isn’t going to mow itself.
That means about 3+ hours out in the oven!
On the other side of that, when I return to the Schoolhouse I’ll return to a low 80’s Classroom!!!
Thanks Sis!
And, I truly meant to do this…
Thank you ALL (@lophophora.ca and @JoeCrowe specifically!) for your concern and the engagement!!! It is appreciated even when I fail to recognize it.
I forgot!
My apologies!
You are appreciated.
Now I have to force myself out into the oven!
I’m dreading the possibility of bumping my leg more than the heat!
It is still painful and just a heavy footfall is painful. IF I bang it it might take me out and send me to
Make it a great night, folks!

Thoroughly cooked I am!
Still have about another hour on the lawn, but I was done!
I did everything but the lawn right around the Schoolhouse.
I just made this, though…the top one is the new one…
New one on top…
Not bad for a hand fab, with just dikes and a pair of vise grips…
I’m going to install one of them on the bucket I know lifted out, and I’ll be ready for any others exhibiting similar anomalies. I’ve taken great care to protect the roots from light…this must be addressed.
Speaking of lifting things out, I never pulled the Runt for root inspection. The electrician never went in there. We’re going to extend the one outlet after harvest - his idea. I invited him back when the cola’s are forming. He seems interested in the top.
I suggested he post his business card at some of these Cannabis Dispensaries. He did not seem interested in that. But, that was when he first started working on this grow space. Maybe he’s changed his mind since then. I’m sure he could get side jobs there. Especially now that he knows what is involved.
I’ll pull the Runt during Lights On, I promise, @JoeCrowe. I said I’d do it and I will do it…I just thought things would advance a certain way and it didn’t come close to what I expected!
I’ll be calibrating the AC Infinity Controller 67 next.
I’m not sure what to do with the 32% test results, @Gpaw.
IF the 32% test shows a +4 result and we know the 75% test is +1, what would you do?
I’m certainly going to adjust the Oasis Caliber 4R -1.
Once I do that, I’ll put the Oasis Caliber 4R out in the space solo, give it a few hours (10pm feeding, probably) and then set the AC Infinity Controller 67 to that number
I’m not sure what to do with the 32% test IF it really results in +4.
It ‘may’ have settled out better since I last looked at it.

Oops, I meant +3, not 4…I was counting it wrong .
Here’s where it is after the full 24 hours…
I’ve already adjusted it by -1.
Not sure what to do with the +3 test result.
I just went to put it in the Bloom Room but couldn’t find a good spot that doesn’t see the flow of moisture in the space, isn’t influenced by other machines or devises…like not on to of the Dehumidifier. Not on the Reservoir. Not on the A/C unit.
Couldn’t find a good place for it.
I’m going to bust out a quick and dirty base for it…
,
WHAB
This will do for now until I can find then decide on a better method and placement.
Under sized starter hole…I tried a hole saw that should have been the exact size but the wobble in the cutter opened up the hole to almost let the Oasis 4R fall through. Bad wobble in the arbor.
Opened the hole with a coarse rotary file…
Snug fit. And on that point, this Luan does not cover the openings in the Oasis 4R. It’s actually a really good thickness for this use. It sits in there nicely.
I could have made the angle a bit more acute…it will do for now.
I put it next to this one…on the shelf next to it, where the wrench was sitting. Speaking of that device, I keep forgetting it’s there! I don’t know if it is calibratable. If it is it will be reset.
I want to leave it in there for at least an hour, so I’ll check on it when the Nutes return to the Res., about 10:24pm.
And, speaking of the Res., it is down at least another 10 gallons. Will do that after the next feeding.
A then feeding time!

No worries.
So the +3 is a systematic error. Think of it as the difference between the ideal slope and the sensor response. You can draw the two slopes and use that to apply a manual correction but that’s really OCD.
You won’t be measuring that low anyway…
Actually as RH instruments, go that’s tremendous ‘bang for the buck’.
Cheers
G
You’re right, of course.
Just knowing one real number is important, not the several I had from several devices and they’re all different…regards RH.
The Acurite Remote and the Controller 67 are really close on temps, usually. But their RH values were crazy off! All of them for that matter!
I am glad to have landed on that sensor, too…thanks.
At this moment, I don’t recall how…
Thank you, man!

I just took this, actually I took a few…I had to toss them. Not an easy shot, it seems.
I’m going to see IF that number changes in the short term…before I adjust devices. I’ll probably wait until tomorrow to make any fine adjustments…it’s late now…almost bed time (RIGHT!!! ).
Here’s the crazy!
The Acurite is closest, for now….
But, there’s a new Sheriff in town!
Then some Lights Out family photos! From left to right around the circle…(I seemed to have missed a few scorched leaves).
Around the back…
Around the horn
And, back to me…The Runt (centered).
Then one of the Girl stacking up, the Girl nearest the hinged door. Just different perspective.
then a top-off.
HAHAHA!!! They’re both “top-offs”, me and them!
