I’d plane it to match the thinner board and call it a day.
I bought these last night…they came as a bundle…
Thanks, @Oldjoints!
Arriving Saturday, they say
I also bought some of these.
Thinking back to when I had “A” Digital Microscope working it was the Wired one and it came with a Micro USB Female to USB C Male dongle to use on my android Samsung.
I can’t find that dongle. They’re tiny things, no wonder I can’t find it! That’s why I got the Red ones…should be more easily visible, and they’ll be FOUR not just the one original
So, I’m giving that Wired Digital Microscope that one last chance. After that, IF it doesn’t work for me, I don’t want it any longer…I don’t need it here if it doesn’t work for me.
With that possibility, I’m conjuring up a way to make my phone hands free with that Microscope plugged in and moving around the grow.
Something like a over the neck Harmonica cradle?
HAHAHA!
I just found this…
I literally never knew something like that existed!
I’ll shop through a few and buy one.
Now, back to the grow.
Garden II Flower Day 53
I should have checked the Reservoir yesterday.
It’s a least 5 gallons low, I did look in it and saw it a little low yesterday, so I’ll have to top if off anyway.
But, pH is low…
Res. Temps…
E.C. 1.6…
Environmentals…(both of the Acurite Remote Sensors are sitting on the Reservoir, both the Loft and Under-Loft sensors).
Oasis 4R…
AC #3 32% RH Calibration is still under test (but, these numbers are stable since the first test before I reran it.
I’ll get some pictures of the Girls Pre-Lights On.
Then, I put the shelves in the Brothers Made Coffee Table Base Bookcase.
Understand, this, the original, was made of construction material. It’s not square, it’s not finely assembly, it was a coffee table base never intending to be seen in this way.
I’ll get to that latter.
I’m going to get to topping off the Res.

Hey, friend! That is a good suggestion, but…
…the ends will be visible. No matter what I do that edge is visible.
I did just put it all together and am thinking about putting that too thin shelf in the bottom position and shim it from the bottom to reduce the visible gap above the shelf, the more visible aspect of it.
That will eliminate the visible gap from the top but that front edge gap will be visible. It is nearest the floor so I don’t think any regular person could pick it out. This is a skim cut I made to get to the final width.
But, I’d know…
The final depth of the shelf still needs to be done. Since I know everything is out of square I’m going to mark the depth in the what is now a cabinet and cut to those marks even if they’re not square.
Thank you for the discussion, @Tejas!

From memory, this was the weak point of using that wired microscope connected to my phone in the grow space, I don’t have nearly enough hands!
I settled on and bought this one, it’s the only one I could find that mentions my phone specifically…a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G. It’s a BIG phone…
Due in Saturday, they say…
Again, I didn’t know anything like that existed! IF it works, it will be perfect for that job!
Really gotta .
Maybe a and a first!

In the interest of full transparency, and to get a picture of what occupied some of my time yesterday…I make mistakes.
The other day when I had to sit down to start that AC #3 32% RH test I put an extra 5 gallon lid on the 5 gallon bucket I’m using to collect the drainage for the A/C unit in the space to use as a horizontal work surface (a table of sorts).
I left it there…I was going back in to pick up my last trimmings last night and…
I should say here that when I first installed that shop made Drain Pan in there, I was a bit perplexed that it was not accumulating as much as I had expected.
Since then, it’s been collecting A LOT more.
That lid was hiding how full it was getting (huge mistake on my part!)
I used a transfer pump to empty it ‘last night’!
Now, II just walked over there and that bucket is nearly half full again!
That drain pan is working overtime now!
Okay, is made, next is a …then back to work!

Exit AC #3 32% RH Calibration test…
Will put the numbers together and pick one from those results to calibrate and put back into service…been a long time, respectively, without a primary tool that a person could rely on.
But, a sort of emergency situation came up.
Not sure what happened.
I topped of with 2 5gallon batches of 1/2 recipe.
I poured it in and the pH was looking pretty good.
I probed the E.C. and saw this…
I wrote on it 1:36AM. Feeding time is 2:00AM.
I decided to bypass the 2:00AM feeding, to shut everything down (on that side of the room).
Something I’ve never done.
I remembered that that outlet is on its own circuit.
Pretty handy!
I drained at least 10 gallons back out of the Reservoir and refilled it with straight water.
I got it to here…
I added a few more gallons of straight water and got it down to 2.2 and flipped the circuit back on.
It’s done returning now, I have to go check it and/or adjust for it.
Now where was I?!?!?
Maybe that was a bit more than I needed!
I don’t know what I did.

Returned as…
I gave it a 20ml squirt…will check again before I lay my head down which will be very soon but after the Res and Chiller circulate a bit.
E.C. bouncing 2.2.
Edit Add: Was sitting at…
I gave it another 20ml squirt.
E.C. bouncing 2.2
I’ll add straight pH water as needed in the next day to bring the E.C. down a little more.
Good morning!
Make it a great day!

AC #2 and AC #3 75% and 32% RH Calibration Test results, respectively…
AC #2:
7% Low Deviation
2% High Deviation
AC #3:
1% Low Deviation
6% High Deviation
Any ideas on how to treat these results?
Do I adjust for the 75% results?
Do I adjust for the 32% results.
I can’t adjust both.
Calling all AC Infinity Controller 67 users!
Gonna go check the Res. I’ll be right back.

I’m leaning towards leaving #3 in place…

I just contacted AC Infinity.
Here is my email to them:
Hello Danny (AC Infinity),
I RH tested both new probes and have posted the tests and the results on a particular website.
Would you be interested in seeing the results.
My linking you to those tests would save me a bunch of work.
I would like to see you (AC Infinity) represented on that site.
Would you consider joining this forum?
There are a BUNCH of AC Infinity users there.
I am a Legal Medical Cannabis grower and I’m posting my current grow and as I said those RH tests and results.
Would you be receptive to viewing the test results there and advising how I should approach those results?
Btw, THANK YOU for sending not 1 new probe but 2 new probes! That was awesome!
Warm regards,
Xxxxxxxxxx
Let’s see how they respond.
I would really like to see them represented here.

I tried to break this shim off flush to show how it would like IF I were to make a shim for this shelf. It’s not flush but I hope the image expresses what I’m trying to say…it would be an obvious visual difference between the others.
I’m thinking about just gluing them in and on that one shelf hold the shelf against the top of the dado while the glue dries and just have a shadow on the bottom shelf. I think.
Lessons learned!
I have had these BenchDogs Surface Protectors, with the Friction Pads since I bought the system.
I’ve never actually used them as they’re intended to be used. They’re designed to allow a person to make a cut anywhere on the Multi-Function Slab with out cutting into it.
With the pads they can be used to hold your workpiece as you process the project. They grip it pretty good!
I only applied 4 of the Friction Pads to the Protectors because I never knew how they would fit into ‘my’ processes.
I sanded on them.
I’ll apply the other 4. I ‘may’ get more.
I’m working out in my head how I’m gong to ‘finish’ this/these - Clear Polyurethane (I happen to have a bunch here IF it is still good!). I’m trying to decide whether I’m going to put it all together and finish it or finish them separately then put them together.
I’ve been pondering this for a minute or two! How do I use the Surface Protectors AND protect the surface from a messy finishing session? How I I protect the table from the Polyurethane I’m going to apply and also use the Friction Pad Protectors?
Do I lay the paper right on top of the Pads and possible have that paper come in contact with the pieces I’m finishing?
When I say I’m new at this, I’m not overstating it!
And, that .2 tenths of 1 degree I’ve mentioned chasing?
I ‘might’ find it here…
Those upper radius in the HDF is not the same as the radius of he Guide Pin end of the Quad MFT Hinge System.
IF anything I’ve done is holding it from being truly 100% square that’s it.
Oh, the router got away from me in the bottom left corner in that previous image!
I want to modify that one radius, that is in the direction of the error.
I want to do what I said I wanted to do and get started on moving the whole shebang nearer to that wall.
Edit Add: pH is 6.0. E.C. is 2.2

Like skinning cats… there’s more than one way…
You could split the difference
ie for AC #2 set the 75% point to 72% (+4%) meaning the 32% would read 38%.
or
you could zero at 75% knowing your 32% would be reading 41%
(that’s what I would do)
Your ‘area of interest’ is in the 50% plus range (to turn the fan on to prevent mold etc)
The important thing is to print an correction table and post it beside the controller.
It would be nice if AC Infinity allowed us access to adjust the slope of the line (besides letting us play with the offset).
The important thing is to check them annually (or maybe semi) to make sure the sensor hasn’t drifted etc.
How about some brass shim stock for adjusting the orthogonality of that hinge system?
Cheers
G
Hello my friend!
I’ll respectfully defer to your knowledge regarding this matter and its related terminology.
Wouldn’t AC #3 be a better candidate since its 75% RH test result is only off by 1 degree?
I’m legitimately curious as to why you chose that cat to skin?
Also, AC #3 is still installed. #2 is back in its packaging.
And, yes…it would be nice IF we, the end user, could offset for both settings - Slope?
And, yes, I plan to check them at least one more time before the Boveda Calibration Kits expire.
I’m still hoping they’ll come back as say “Mr. Xxxxxx, given your test results, we’ll suggest you to open the back of the Controller 67 and adjust these Potentiometers/Dip Switchs” “Also, Mr. Xxxxxxx…given your test results we will look into the matter ourselves and make you aware of our conclusions - Thank You for bringing these obvious deficiencies to our attention!”
Thank you so very much for your contribution to this very important discussion, brother @Gpaw!
Edit Add: I forgot to address your Quad MFT Hinge System suggestion. My apologies. Shims would work IF there is room for the Guide Pin Plate to move to. I think the smaller radius of the plate is hitting the vertex of the larger radius I cut for it. I think I can relieve that impingement, what I think is impinged, to allow it to shift over by just a little bit. With these relying on the existing 20mm holes to align things, I have to assume the holes I drilled for the Guide Pin Plate are exactly where they should be. I think something else is inhibiting its proper alignment.

This Cellet Lazy Neck Tablet & Smart Phone Holder Mount arrived a short time ago…
A lot more robust than I expected.
I think this will work great for what I need it to do!
And, I’m just waiting on these…the USB adapters.
And, the Loupes. They say they’ll be in by today.
I should be able to get some actual usable information from at least one of them!
I really want to use the Digital Microscope so I can more easily share with you all what I’m seeing.
Edit Add: They just arrived…
Going to try the two Loupes now and then dig into the Digital Microscope and see IF I can get it working.
.
WHAB
Most of what I saw using both Loupes, all X’s, looked clear with some cloudy. I’ll take some time with them in the coming days to become more familiar with them.
I also got the Digital Camera working…I think.
This is a test. This is a test. This is a test.
This is some of my last go round Raspberry Cough.
Same image, one saved as the PC saved it, one saved after going through MS Paint.
They look the same to me.
Sitting at my desk, I still had to 2 hand the microscope and then also hit the Shutter on the CameraFi app on the phone.
I’ll need to relocate the lamp again to get in amongst them.
Transfer test, same bud different view, Bluetoothed through my phone to my PC directly…but I have to be at my desk to “Receive the File”.
They’re not how I would title them IF it were me.
It does what looks like an accurate date - 220730.
I’ll try that.
Except for the watermark, they look pretty good for a test.
Also, from memory…I ‘think’ I have to delete all previous files using the app before taking more pictures as those generic file names gets confusing.
Wearing this equipment will take some time getting used to, too!
I have my headlamp on (Green light), the Yoke (that Laze Neck thingamabob!), with dangling wire out to the Digital Microscope!
A , then I’m going in!
.
WHAB
Gonna need some practice but the premise is working…
The Runt then the last one is that one bud near the 4R mount…
I still need to stabilize better.
It’s still a bit difficult to get focused on, then focused in, then hold the microscope with one hand and then hit the shutter with my other.
Also, I need to figure out how to both, delete the images (I haven’t found it yet) and dim the LED’s a bit.
I believe the LED’s might be introducing excessive light in the subject.
Oh, I also wound up having to wrap the excess USB cord back around my neck to keep it from getting into any trouble (damage the Girls).
My git-up must look hilarious!
I hope you’re ALL making it a great night!

I was so wrapped up in trying to figure out this Digital Camera that I forgot I had to top off the Res.
I just added about 5 gallons of straight water…I’ll have to check the pH when it returns from this feeding.
When I checked before the 8PM feeding the pH was nice but the E.C. increased to bouncing 2.3.
I have to drain the A/C accumulation already too…at least 3+ gallons.
I have found a way to delete the Still Images from the CameraFi app.
I used the Your Link on my PC to control my phone and delete them from the Samsung Gallery which then deleted them in the app.
After doing it this way I suppose I could do that same thing from my phone…delete them straight from the Gallery. I didn’t know where the App had put them. Now I know.
But, a person is unable to delete the Still Images captured by the app within the app.
Next is the LED brightness.
I’m surprise there isn’t an adjustment on the microscope itself.
The search continues.
Edit Add: It’s about to get physical!!!
I can’t find any mention on how to adjust this no-name Digital Microscope’s LED’s. I read that instructions were supplied in the original package … something I don’t have current possession of!
I’m going to try to apply a physical block on a few of the LEDs. I’m going to try and do this without damaging them or leave them inoperable in any way.

No-Name Digital Microscope LED Dimmer!
Here’s with them dimmed a bit. I see now that I missed a corner of an LED.
Test at desk…may be a different bud…
I’m goin’ in!
HAHAHA!!!
I left this here forgetting to post it!
I went in!
I’ll be back.
,
WHAB
That didn’t work as well as I thought it would have.
I did see that I missed at least one LED, or part of it, before I went it…but, in use they’re even less effective than that.
My Cargo Pack (less camera in mount)!
It worked pretty well, considering. I’ll spend some more time with it.
This happened…
It is what it was working like…
Maybe 2-1/2 LEDs blocked, and only partially…some light coming through (something I was sure would happen). I’ll try a modified Dimmer, maybe black electrical tape.
I am seeing some clear, some cloudy and maybe a hint of an amber or two…with the Lighted 60X Loupe.
Still need some practice, maybe that Steady Stick again…
I think something like these next two shots are effected by the too bright light, and focus, of course.
What is in focus in this next shot is more representative of what I saw…I may have pulled it out of focus reaching for the Shutter button.
Under Construction!!!
I’m thinking about building a Bridge Crane Digital Microscope Mount on a Gimbal!
Maybe Computerize it?!?!?
I’ll spend some time in there in Lights Out now, with the Loupe’s and the Microscope. It is easier getting to that side of them without the lamp there.
Will have to schedule Work Excursions, though! I went in there with everything to Microscope, Loupe, take pictures and do some trimming.
Here’s some images.
Standing nearest the Runt…
Then these are standing in the middle…I started at the Runt…and around to a couple of the others.
Basically same shot, just different lighting on it, basically…It’s the big Girl across the way!
While I was in there I remembered I had seen ONE other scorched bit of a bud…I very small section of it.
It’s right here…
I took both of those pictures before I performed the surgery!
I took the images not intending to catch the Corpse on camera!
That good bit of bad is gone, I don’t see any more.
Good morning!
Make it a great day!
Edit Add: I seem to have forgotten something :scratcheshead: Oh, yeah!

Garden II Flower Day 55
Oops!

So much for plans. Plans are sooooo overrated!
I had some outdoor things to get done. I wound up doing NONE of them!
I wanted to get in the Bloom Room and go one-by-one with the Loupe’s and the Digital Microscope. I’ve done neither of those things, either.
But, I’ve been attending to my Sister, her “new” phone, and her cell signal issues. She’s in a metal box is partly the reason.
I’m trying to get her cell signal inside the metal box for her.
But, we also set a date for lunch on the 5th. I want to have the Brothers Made Coffee Table Base Bookcase done for her in time for that.
I asked her what vehicle she would be driving…I know she has a Malibu…but, I was hoping she’d be driving something else. She was curious about my question - “That car is paid for, why would I have another car!!!”
Since she handed the coffee table base to me I have given her no hint on what IF anything I’m doing.
I was able to get this done.
The New and Improved No-Name Digital Microscope LED Dimmer!!!
Electrical Tape…
With flash to show it better.
With flash to offset the LED’s brightness to better show it.
It is completely blocking 4 of the LED’s while not blocking the other 4.
We’ll see how this goes!
I’m going to go check the Res.
After that, I’m going to get started on finishing the Brothers Made Coffee Table Base Bookcase. I’ll be finishing them separately.
I’m going to bring it with me to lunch and I may show her then. IF not, I’ll make plans to take it to her in the near future.
Make it a great night, folks!
Edit Add: pH 5.9. E.C. bouncing 2.1
IF I can get a coat on the case and the shelves done quickly enough I’ll get in the Bloom Room and take a better look at one or more of the Girls…before Lights On.
Oh, I’m also hours and hours and hours into learning my new Phonak Hearing Aid System!
