Old Bay is spicy. But sometimes I use it very sparingly and it’s tastes similar to like an all seasoning. It’s Marylands sea food seasoning. It you get any seafood the claims to be Marylands seafood anything it should have Old Bay in it. Sucks you can’t do hot.
The pasta with Clam sause is good. Mixes in with a little Alfredo. Yep.
Yeah, I read a little about it. I used to really like Hot Wings. Last time I had Hot Wings, since I can’t remember when, I needed a bath towel. Hot makes me sweat. I just don’t eat any more.
I was never a fan of hot chili’s, either…jalapeño…stuff like that.
Your Blue Crab Linguini, is that a white or red sauce?

Red sauce for the Linguini.
Sounds yummy!

Looking good!

Final to-do’s on the Cloning Machine II before final testing. Your Phone (MS Link to Windows) application took too long to make the pictures available to me. I moved on…
Except for an unusual headache (I am attributing to the second COVID vaccine), I expect to get this done today/tonight.
The above as well! …except I did get it done today/tonight!
One of the final to-do’s was to enlarge the hole that I believe was intended for a power cord to run through but never did, in fact it was blocked off as can be seen in the pictures of the lid.
I marked it off and used a carbide rotary file in a 90° die grinder to remove the material to the line.
When I tried to pass the cord to the pump through the hole I had just made for the plug to run through it wouldn’t go.
Same pump. Same pump manufacturer. Different 3 prong power cord I only took out just enough material to allow the cord to pass through that way when I go to sealing it from leaking I would only have to plug it the least amount as possible.
I had to switch the pumps out.
WOW! This Your Phone to Microsoft Link to Windows is a fucking pain in the ass! I’ve been trying to move pictures for more than an hour!
It’s only a few pictures but the only one I was able to transfer is the first picture I took today showing the cord (the wrong cord) passing through the opening I just created for it. That was multiple hours ago!
The first test was will the manifold fit into the tank with the reduce opening in the tank. Reduced by the addition of the aluminum angles.
It did. I had to give it a little squeeze to shorten it just that little bit.
Then, once I did switch the pumps out. I filled the tank up enough to cover the pump and plugged it in. I observed the spray nozzles that I could see was working quite well.
I could not see if the manifold was losing pressure through the new legs I installed. It did not leak at any point across the seal. The only thing that caused water to flow down the sides was the water accumulating on top of the lid. 2 of the 360 spray nozzles are not working well. I will replace them (likely some debris I fail to properly remove from drill and tapping the manifold for the spray nozzles).
Note: I am seeing a potential for 2 modification in the near future; to add 2 inch rubber washers to the underside of the lid at the sites the netpots are using. I think the spray ‘may’ escape at those points - maybe. And, to add a switch to the pump cord so I can turn it off while I’m working on the cutting, rootings.
I think I will start working on the Cloning Machine II have an in mind.
I’m tired of waiting on the pictures to be able to transfer. Apologies.
IF they EVER become available I will TRY to post them!..
The pictures JUST NOW became available
I’m just going to post them and you can associate them with the words above as you are able to! Wasted literal hours on this!
What a time suck this is!

WOW! What a best!
Really nice fabrication work. By doing it yourself were you able to customize and save money over purchasing?
Thank you, @Tejas
I don’t know about saving money as I didn’t price any out.
My aim was to just getting this one working properly. It pretty much failed the last go round.
I already had most of the system. The only things I had to buy was additional 1/2 pvc pipes, 180° and 360° spray nozzles, neither of which was too much money. Both are rather inexpensive.
This one is going to kick ass!

Okay, I have come up with another one!
Can you answer a question about RDWC?
I have a better understanding of DWC because of you help.
I’m hoping that IF you can’t answer my question, then ‘maybe’ you can point me in the direction of the answer
Since DWC maintains a constant high level of nutrients/water how would a RDWC work since R drains the buckets? My brain is having a hard time trying to figure out how you can completely drain the system at the same time you’re intentionally keeping the level high.
Thank you in advance, @LilJonB !

Oh, I did change the feeding cycles…
1 15 minute Fill cycle, then drain cycle, 8 times a day.
I have tried very hard to get the pictures of the Bluelab E.C. Truncheon to focus in. I’m not sure why it refuses…it’s a E.C. reading at .8 (400 on 500 scale).
Also, I just bought 12 black 5 gallon buckets. 6 5 gallon lids.
And 20 3/4 inch barbed bulkhead fittings. And 50 feet of 3/4 inch black hose.
I still need to buy the controller. Another day.

Your water stays in the buckets 24/7. Unless your doing a change out. You would remove all the water then fill it back up. It’s recommended you do that every 2/3 weeks. Of when you feel like it needs to be done.
The res don’t drain the buckets it is just as full as your plant buckets. The water is pumped threw all the buckets. The main res would be where you take your ph and ec readings.
This is the best one I found RDWC Hydroponic Systems - GROZINE
Hope it helps a little bit more.
This guy builds on and tells how they work. This might help.
Those ebb&gro buckets are way better than RDWC in my opinion.
Friends don’t let friends DWC… unless its @JoeCrowe
I’ve never understood what that saying means. I will crush water cultures like I crush bugs on someone’s plants. hah hah!
You, my friend, are an exception. That’s why I mentioned you. For the most part most R/DWC posts are of sick plants, root rot, and pH drift.
I’ve seen, first hand, the ease and efficiency of coco croutons and ebb&gro buckets. If I didn’t enjoy hand watered organics, thats what I would run.
yah, I think I’ve overused the phrase “Yo, I’m on slime patrol” I find people usually add really strange things to their water culture, that are meant to prevent problems, but are instead a problem themselves.
I did this last night in preparation for a imminent flush and then to put these six into flower in the loft grow space.
I drilled a hole near my line…
…thinking I could use my die grinder with a pin router but I couldn’t find my pin routers! so I tried a rotary file…
That was way too squirrely! I moved to the router table (not a router table! )… (the ugly cut in this picture was from the rotary file, hard to do with a handle held tool.)
Both of the cuts made a YUGE mess!
I deburred it by hand with a razor knife.
It’s not the cleanest (most accurate) of cuts I’ve ever made, but it will do for plants! I’ll improve the process next time…I believe doing it all on the router table will produce a better cut.
Looking at it, I ‘may’ use something like the above for trimming roots (IF necessary). I could off the lower section of the 5 gallon bucket under the shoulder to expose the entire bottom of the inner bucket/net pot suspended in it.
