WHAB’s 1924 Brick Schoolhouse RDWC

Numbers as of 2AM feeding…

I didn’t realize it was a poor image until I uploaded it - It’s at 5.7.

Res Temps…

(Wow. OG does not like these images…the ones with the tiny non-white subject with the white background. Second time OG has refused to load these 2 similar images)

It’s at 63+F.

I took a picture of the E.C. Truncheon and thought I caught the light on but didn’t facepalm

It’s solid 1.2 (600ppm). Still higher than I’d like it according to the last grow. Will bring it down.

Environment as of a few minutes ago.

My woodworking shop…(going to start moving some of that Rockwool up to the Loft.

winky

Pass-through framing (could be temporary) - I’m hoping I can get both 6 inch ducts mounted in there. It’s 14-1/2 inches wide.

This is where I ‘think’ I’m taking them…

I forgot about this when I decided I was going there. I forgot. I put it there! ROFLMAO

Reinforced and stapled in place for same reason as above.

The duct skinned by that CMT very nicely. No concern.

Then - Oops!

Gonna have to redo my inventory list…

Make that at least ONE long duct that came with the A/C units and TWO short sections! ROFLMAO ‘May be’ FOUR short sections! That section is still going through the ceiling up in the Loft.

I saw the tape on it when I received them. I thought they were ‘temporary clamps’, just temporarily holding it in place for installation purposes. I used THREE temporary clamps to hold the gap together while rejoining it with ONE solid wrap.

We’ll just act like we didn’t see that! (a la Vise Grip Garage allhail ROFLMAO

Just temp clamped in place and pointing up and away from the space. It’s not much, but it’s something.

Temporary vertical framing above is just so I could safely pull the one duct through without ripping out a huge section.

The Girls start of day 3?

2 of them are just a little sad. The 2 on the upper left. I was pretty aggressive on the root trimming. I didn’t see any way around it.

They still have a good bit of light green. (I was hoping the extra E.C. might provide a Nitrogen boost, even a little one). A small amount of yellowing. It was like that when I brought them down and has not increased. I’ll trim them off in another day or two. I’ve stressed them out pretty good already. Give the Girls a break! They’ve got a YUGE work schedule ahead! winky

You can see by the profile which ones are sad.

The 4 others are less sad, in comparison. I think they’re going to do fine.

I was going to mount the Dehumidifier. Above the Res but on the East wall nearest the door. I can’t put it right above the Res. as I don’t think I’d be able to remove the lid to the Res. That little bit of wall won’t be missed, I don’t ‘think’ winky

I’ll try and get that done and run the drain line to the Res.

And, now with the A/C exhaust duct moved out of the door way I’m going to start on the door. Only have one detail I haven’t figured out yet. The threshold. Just haven’t worked it through, even mentally.

Okay, my day is done!

Make it a great day! tup

I mean it this time, not like the shitty day you made it the other day - make this one great! winky

A great big (speaking of great! winky) tokie, then nighty-night!

Dang! There was something I think was a little critical and now the thought is gone! ROFLMAO

Space Reserved! ROFLMAO

T8 fan has double the CFM of the T6 and the cross section of the duct goes from 28"^2 to 50"^2, so yes, significant improvement.

Maybe best to come at it from a different direction…
Standard ‘Rule of Thumb’ is one air change every 5 min.
For example, if the grow room is 10’ x 10’ x 8’ (800 cu feet) would mean an exchange rate of 160 CFM.
With the long run, I’d de-rate the fan rating by 50% (400CFM => 200CFM)

So the T6 should be able to do that. Personally I’d go with the T8 if the budget allows.

Good morning!

I do remember that formula…one of the first growing related data I learned. Thank you for reminding me of it, brother!

I’ll run with what I have and upgrade to a 6x6x8 Wye, a T8 and a 8 inch duct out to a 8 inch “boot” in the soffit as soon as I am able. Possibly around mid next month.

Thank you immensely, my friend! Your help is invaluable and so much appreciated! tup

I’ll say it again - IF you’re not learning every day you’re dying (paraphrased from: "Once You Stop Learning, You Start Dying -Albert Einstein. Thanks Al!). I’ve been doing some learnin’ here!

I’ll save the dying for another time, I’m too busy learning at the moment! Whistle

Thank you, @Gpaw! tup

Ding, ding, ding! I raised the A/C temperature setting to warm up the space a little and allow the Res temps to increase just a bit…

I’m not going to lie, it was getting a little chilly in there! I had to put on a light jacket the other night. Probably a little too cold for the Girls.

And, this arrived minutes ago…

I knew (thought I remembered) there was a formula. I learned it a very long time ago in A&P training.

It’s been a while (a long while) since that training! winky

.5 Amps seems like a very low number, though.

60 divided by 120 = .5

Again, electrical is my weakness. Always has been.

Thank you so very much for the kick in the ass, sincerely, my friend @JoeCrowe! tup

Wolfram Alpha has been a favorite site of mine since it went live! It’s amazing!

I paid $29 for the opportunity! ROFLMAO

I only paid (Turbo Tax) because my tax situation changed. SSR (whatever Social Security Retirement is called :man_shrugging:) and a small Pension.

The government has had the ability for decades to put together about +75% of the population’s tax returns, perfectly.

That has been proposed but repeatedly scuttled by lobbyists ‘buying politicians’…
Who’s lobbyists?? … Why all of the income tax software companies…
it would be funny if it wasn’t true.

Yeah, most of the information they used to fill the “file” was directly from the Government, state and federal! I’m there twiddling my thumbs while it retrieved it, more than a couple of times. ROFLMAO

But, part of my trepidation was the thought that that same Federal Government would use what they do have on me to come after me.

Tech Specs from Daniel at AC Infinity.

T6:

I informed Daniel that I’m likely going to upgrade to their T8 and if he had those specs at his fingertips I’d be grateful if he’s send them. He did.

T8:

Solid Customer Service right there!

Now, seeing those numbers I take note the 240V AC spec.

Do you run yours on 120V or 240V, @Gpaw?

Thanks AC Infinity and @Gpaw. @Gpaw for the previous and the future! winky

Edit Add: I screwed up. I confused the AC Infinity numbers with other numbers I read about for several systems. Now I’m back to not knowing which one of them it is!

Rework: my most hated of work! ROFLMAO

My apologies

I didn’t write them down as I inspected them. I took pictures. I took pictures of a couple where their were labels but no ratings. And then I tried to decipher all of what I had here at my desk. The T6 is up in the attic. It probably has the ratings on it. I don’t remember.

Dang, sorry, @Gpaw!

Aside: I did go give their entire canna related products the once over and that is quite a heck of a long and excellent product line!

I’m not sure why they display their “App” (a Smartphone) in the images of their products where that capability is not included with what is in the picture. Specifically the T6.

That’s cranked to ‘10’.
{insert Spinal Tap meme here…}

Here’s what I measured on mine

fan speed Watts
1 1.5W
2 2.0W
3 4.0W
4 6.8W
5 9.9W
6 14.6W
7 20.6W
8 30.7W
9 41.3W
10 59.0W

What I really needed but didn’t have was a CFM meter. To measure how much air is getting pushed at each setting & make a rough static pressure vs CFM chart.

What’s to note here is that level 8 is 50% power, 6 is 25% power etc.
More efficient at the lower end.

The Girls at 10PM…

Then, these are the numbers my brain appreciates, it seems! winky

I wanted/needed to get that Dehumidifier in the general area.

My Thought Process Machine was thinking a cleat attached to the wall, with some long legs and some diagonal bracing either above or below what would have been a shelf.

The Dehumidifier dimensions are roughly 18 inches tall and 14 inches wide and 10 inches deep to included the drain line exiting the case.

On this page are 5 design iterations. On this page…including the temporary final design winky

I was thinking of possibly doing a scalloped shape across the front of that shelf to partly extend over the Res. Thought that might be a good place to hang my meters from, right at hand. And, add some artistry to it and look good. I even thought about a trapezoidal shape.

That drain line that is 8 inches off the bottom of that case has to be at least a tiny bit above the rim of the Res for drainage…for proper drainage.

That meant that the shelf had to be at least 33 inches off the floor. With the drain line winding up at about 41 inches off the floor.

Then I went looking for materials on hand. I was thinking a tall legged shelf with a cross support for right now and add more shelves to it which would also add strength later. I just wanted to be ready for whenever the electrician decides to give me some of his time.

I found the materials I originally had in mind BUT, as I walked around looking for material for something to support the dehumidifier at that approximate height I saw this in my “woodshop”.

My design ideas changed immediately. Plus, I could get it done faster.

This old cabinet I’ve been lugging across the U.S. for decades!

smoke looking, imo…

I measure it and decided it would work in a pinch and it was barely being used for anything really. Manly some paint supplies until I find a permanent home for them. I kept my Kreg Pocket Hole Jig in it for a while.

Width and depth were decent, enough.

But, there was a slight problem…“Missed it by that much!”

A few inches short.

First was a full dimension base, 14" x 14".

This is part of my wood materials supply shelf…winky

More of my selections…I think that one with the busted end and nails popping out all over it was from one of the twisted studs I ripped up trying to force compliance! I saved it, of course!

And, yes, that was me trying to refinish it before I knew about such things. I just like the cabinet. Never realizing its pretty poor craftsmanship.

I never realized until last night that I probably shouldn’t have lugged it around for that long…it may not be too long before it has a come-apart!

ROFLMAO

With pieces cut and pocket holed, my Assembly Department…

My QC Department- it was racked. I loosened it up on one side, clamped it tight and drove the Kreg screws home a second time.

It’s not racked any longer. That would have bugged me forever!

I ‘may’ add a top to it down the road, if it hangs around any length of time. It doesn’t really need one.

This is what was important…

woohoo

Improved space utilization, plenty of storage, additional horizontal work surface, got that cabinet out of the Classroom and put that thing to work doing something! ROFLMAO

Btw, I started to think even back then that that is not craquelure, I think it is the wrong finish on top of the other part of that wrong finish scenario, ie Lacquer over Enamel, Enamel over Lacquer…etc.

Note the floor treatment.

No, not the underlayment still being a little damp in the picture.

That is the first piece of that carpet cubed thing to be removed. I’ve decided to remove them all.

I never liked it. They’re rather nasty, stuff smooshed in some of them. And, absorbent.

I only kept them because they were original to prior to my occupancy. I try where I can.

That floor ‘may’ benefit the space with the buckets sitting directly on it in that the space under the floor is going to be the coolest place in the Schoolhouse in a few short months when the rest of it is likely to be a little warm…especially IF I can’t get that Cassette Mini-Split installed beforehand.

I’m gonna call this one early. Early to rise. And, a little change in plans, my laundry client backed out of helping me. My sister says she has a backup helper.

I’m going to go there and get done what I can get done and see whats’ left, what’s left saving.

My sister seems to be insistent that she wants to dig around the basement for Josh’s keepsakes. The fire (flames) didn’t get to the basement, from what I’v seen from the outside, through that basement sliding door.

I did find a utility dolly here that I can use. It looks like the right tool for the job.

Thank you EVERYONE for the assistS!

Oh, without having to make every part of the shelf to hold the dehumidifier, that will afford me plenty of times to “Rework” my Amp Load List! ROFLMAO

Good morning!

That didn’t go as it was supposed to go! frown

First, this was the end of the basement where the fire started - above where I’m standing.

I brought my car, my trailer, 2 dolly’s, 3 medium sized U-Haul boxes, packing tape, ratchet straps (all I have not in use), moving blankets and a cargo net. I wound up using 2 small ratchet straps because those things weren’t needed because none of things those supplies were to be used on were not where we saw them last. frown

There was a working side-by-side refrigerator at about my right shoulder in above picture - stolen.

The washer & dryer were here. Now gone - stolen.

The copper wiring has been striped, from the house - stolen.

The last 2 feet of the drywall above had been removed recently for repairs. The rest of the damage was the thieves.

The shop…they punched holes through the Luan…that’s probably a 30 foot wall, at least and they striped it all out.

They didn’t take ALL the copper and I don’t know why. You can see it throughout the pictures. Lazy thieves?

The barn…I forgot to take a shot from the parking area. I said the barn was about in the middle of the property. I was off by a bit. It was more like 3/4’s of the way into the property. It is a good distance off.

Then, here’s the tomato cages, the only thing that was specifically mentioned that my sister wanted from the barn.

There’s got to be 30 tomato cages down there. And, they’re not your Walmart tomato cages. These have a much larger opening at the base, without the spikes. I didn’t get a really close look at them. There was no way they were all going to fit on my trailer anyways.

My sister wants to keep 5 of them. She lives in an RV park. These are LARGE tomato cages. winky. I’ll try and bring her 5 of them Monday while I’m in the “City”.

I have already asked the two neighbors on either side of this property if they wanted any. One said he’d see if is wife would like some. The other neighbor hasn’t responded back yet.

Just outside the “barn” was a fresh 5 gallon bucket of AW32 Hydraulic Oil. I stopped by that neighbor’s house on my way back. I offered him the oil if he wanted it. He said “Sure, what do I owe you”. “Nothing, I said, nothing at all. I thought you must use it around your place and I know it’s not cheap” He agreed and took it off the trailer. I’m just happy it could go to someone that could use it. He is a cattle rancher with many tractors, large tractors. While I don’t own any tractors, I know those things go through a BUNCH of oils of different kinds.

There was something I wanted and forgot to grab, after seeing them today (I’d seen them before but didn’t pay any attention to them), while I had my sister’s helper there.

There were at least 5 full 4x8 sheets of Blue Board Drywall. Some of it wasn’t flat, I’m not sure why. They were intact and not moldy. Mold resistant drywall sounds useful! winky

I could use them here and save a little $$$ in the process! winky I had not made a decision on wall coverings, yet. Now I have! rockon IF they are still there when I get back there!!! frown

I’m just not sure where I will put (store) them until they go up. ROFLMAO

What do you all think about me putting them flat on the floor under my mattress?

That would conserve space, and raise my mattress off the floor at the same time!!!

ROFLMAO

I asked my sister about the camera that was there. She said the owner of the camera, a neighbor, may have come and got it.

Possibly stolen, too, imo frown

They took a bunch of more things, a long list I won’t belabor the point listing them all. Most of the things on my sister’s list of things she surely wanted to get today. frown

So, I have to make another trip over there facepalm bitchslap ROFLMAO

I was looking at something to buy before my Crower this morning. I put it in my “Cart”.

After turning on the faucet for my crower I started hearing a whine (and it wasn’t me! ROFLMAO)

The Ecosmart ECO 27 Tankless Water Heater here was whining. The hot water circuit was whining. I had never heard that come out of that device before. I’m not sure what is causing it. I haven’t been able to research it yet. I know I cleaned the set (3) of heavily encrusted heating elements, and I’m pretty sure that was soon after I moved in, so over a year ago. I presumed that was the cause of the whine and,

After dropping $126+ on them before I left, that better be what it is! Or I’ll be whining for sure! ROFLMAO.

Those items in my “Cart” were pH calibration solutions. $28. I’m not in desperate need of them but I will need them soon. I was even going to expand my knowledge on them. The set in my cart was the 3 bottle set.

Here’s the haul…a dashboard and fairing for the 4-Wheelers that are now my other Nephew’s. I was looking for ATV items and that’s all I found. I we can always use meshed soffit vents! Well, at least I always could! I have an idea that needs 2 of them.

The tub, the LED light (it has what looks like a good cord on it. I’ll plug it in and see what happens! ROFLMAO Not really, will check it our first), the old wood handled wheelbarrow, the vent and the “rock” are staying here.

The rock. We were talking about something else and the helper pointed and said “Why is there a rock there?”, on a cinder block wall near us. I looked over and said, that’s not a rock, that’s wood. It was both. It is a piece of petrified wood.

Without a doubt, that is the neatest thing found all day! woohoo

Wonder why the scurrilous thieves didn’t steal that too? They either didn’t see or or saw it and thought it was just a rock.

Oh, there is a coffee table base in there as well. A base both of her sons made. It’s built crudely.

She said she wanted it but didn’t know what she’d do with it. It was standing on its end. I looked over and I told her I’d put a few shelves in it and maybe “maybe” she can squeeze it into some space in her RV (tall order, possibly). It will make serviceable slender and small footprint shelves.

That is all! crazy

How was your day?

That LED light is BRIGHT!!! Wholly Jeebus!

It’s spec sheet…there is an additional numeral in the part number below. I don’t know why. It is the closest match I have found and it looks just like it. There is an additional 5 before the N in the part number than the PN that’s on the body of the light.

Where we left off last night. I said I was going to pull all those rugs out. I started with the one above the access panel last night when I said I was going down for the night winky …I also put a knob on the screw that was there. I stepped on is more than a few times and caught my foot on it more times than that.

It’s just a scrap of that Red Oak…

Look at those gaps, though! icon_e_surprised

That one isn’t that bad as I ‘think’ I can close that gap, that piece isn’t screwed down.

The rest is nailed down and I’m seeing some huge gaps facepalm

Where we’re at now…

Then I opened the zipper door from the inside and wedged my sharping in the doorway to mark the rigid insulation.

Pro Tip: Leave a little slack in you material you attach your zipper door to. It seems counterintuitive when putting up Panda Film with a zipper door…you’d think nice and tight. Mistake! winky

I want to finish that up before starting on the antique door jamb.

Then I’ll move that Rockwool up to the Loft and set up the Festool-ish Multi-Function Slab and get started on that.

My electrician emailed me with a “Thank you for…”.

I had to message him back that a new and improved version is forthcoming winky

He said he’d be here next week. Again, he’s fitting me in to his real job. Also, I talked to him about my sister’s set up and asked him to go check it out for me and help her get set up.

And ideas on the best to remove some of this from the cuts I made. It needs a bit shaved off. I cut it with a straightedge. The opening is not straight. The foam that goes into that opening won’t be straight and be snug. Below is me trying a razor knife and a serrated knife - neither one worked worth a, well…you know what it worked worth a! ROFLMAO

Can it be shaved with a drywall rasp? Which I don’t have, btw…but, will it work on shaving rigid foam insulation?

I have to make a run through “town” IF there is something I can buy to shave this down.

Neither of these worked…a cheese grater and a sander with 60 grit sandpaper on it.
