It’s more a dominant sativa but does have very earthy piney terpenes.
This was the last time I grew it out a few years back now.

Got 2 nl cross seeds popped yesterday. Cross is bcsc nl#5(stray cut reversed)x vintage sensi star( fem ) so i only popped 2 easier to pay attention to that way.
I personally dont know too much about nl never grown it but bout to find out.

Soon I might be able to get the old PNW northern lights again, from a grow which has been in operation for over 25 years. Hopefully that will pan out.
In 2018 I had that cut and oregon blueberry which is a very early blueberry circulated in oregon in the 80s, seemingly before dj short’s name was associated with the line. Unfortunately the cuts came to me via a grower who held them in a poorly maintained hydro setup for about a month, they arrived as rooted cuts in really bad shape with mites and pm. I sterilized them in solutions of diluted alcohol and peroxide, but didn’t risk introducing them to my indoor grow. Instead I quarantined them and got them healthy before giving them to another grower to flower with his outdoor and pollinate with fresh male branches I gave him.
Fast forward a few months, he let the male branches dry and didn’t pollinate when he should have. He attempted to pollinate but the pollen wasn’t viable, I gave him more from a different male in an attempt to salvage the project.
Fast forward again, my friend just found one seed in the northern lights bud and gave it to me.
So that’s PNW northern lights circa late 80s, crossed to either Dank sinatra f2 (78 la affy x 88g13hp) or to the backup male blueberry hashplant f2 (SC blue dream x 88g13hp).
Should be a fun little mystery line, hopefully he finds a few more seeds.

Sensi’s Northern Lights circa ‘98
I didn’t take many pictures back then, but I have some video tapes I am going through. Not a glamour shot by today’s standards, but she was a beautiful and potent girl. Her brother was really the star. He produced some incredible offspring.

Here’s my version of nl x oe got a different pheno this time round last run of this was about 4 years ago.
Was gifted the nl by a mate I crossed it with an ace seeds orient express.
It’s a ripper plant, trichome production is off the charts terpenoids are very sweet can’t wait till she finishes up.

I’ve popped thousands of NL seeds from my sensi/bcsc line and this was the best by far. Just pulled a 5x5 scrog net full of these a couple weeks ago. I’m probably close to 3lbs on this one and I’m only doing dtw with GH in sunshine mix not rdwc.

Oooo a vintage Sensi Star cross 
. I’m really hoping that either the clone I have, or the pack of seeds from JOTI will have something similar to the original Sensi Star. But anything with NL5 is awesome too! I’d prefer NL everything instead of all these cookies out there

I acquired a pack of 89 nl from ak bean brains he said it pretty much a pure pnw hp thats not been outcrossed …i was going to pop them next but as ak bean brains seems to change and discontinue lines often i may let them sit for a bit and see if they come and go off his catalog if so I’ll f2 them for the site
