Completely understandable, i stopped growing for a while till it became legal since there is a lot of police traffic by me. I gotten away growing outdoors for years and stopped in fear of being watched and raided.Seems like recently everyones looking for shit that’s believed to be extinct and and having fake “safe guarded” cuts.

So much for the “rosy” retrospect. 
That probly comes about from all the shit dispo weed that’s out, and they’re finally getting tired of it, plus hearing stories about how good the heirloom smoke was from old guys like me, as we engage in “rosy retrospection.” Love that term.

Dispensary weed will never be as good as conscious homegrown ever! Take a clone of your bad dispensary weed grow it yourself. Yours will be leaps and bounds better than the dispensary version

I don’t trust anyone, especially neighbor’s. The people that remember weed miss those days. I completely lost hope in people knowing quality especially when it seems like cheap fake shit is all most people want these days.

Well, yeah, in theory, but of course, one cannot clone cured bud. But yeah, hell yeah. I’ve got some mex. sativa seeds (1 or 2 hundred) and i even sprouted one or two, then killed 'em after a few weeks (cuz i can’t grow in this 'hood). But grown at home, cultured, it’d be some awesome stuff i bet. In 7 years i’ve never found a single seed in dispo product. I haven’t smoked in 4 months cuz i don’t see any reason to w/the dispo crap left in my stash.
Your handling of your homegrown is completely different than commercial grows.
Your homegrown will fail moisture levels that commercial weed needs to meet.
Lot of difference between the two. Homegrown can be babied and handled very gently simply over the weight difference also

Now i have nothing but respect for you growers here. But, i think you’re taking a bit too much credit for growing good smoke. You both really think that weed’s cultivation and curing are all it needs? The mex dirt weed we all smoked for decades was for damn sure not cultivated and cured. It was dried, bricked and smuggled. Compressed, flat, seedy, stemmy bunch of brown shit is what it was. LOL But, unlike dispo smoke it did get us high, and it was too awfully harsh. Did not pass much of a smell or taste test, either. But was not nearly as harsh as almost all the dispo weed is.

I don’t want chemicals in my smoke, if at all possible. Not herbicide, fungicide or pesticide. Not sure about that STS stuff you guys talk about, nor the salts thing you guys do. And jury’s still out on flushing nugs, tho just water isn’t really a chemical.
Also, I failed to say above that that mex weed would turn out really fine in the hands of just about any OG member. Good sativa, it was.

That was all outdoor weed being imported. Another member said go for outdoor in the dispensary. It’s cheaper than the indoor also

yup, you’'re not the first person to advised that. prob is, i go to my dispo site, and they don’t list any outdoor growed that i can tell. i’m due for another trip someday soon. i’ll call them and try to discern their sales pitch lies from the truth. I’m trying to get hold of a couple guys i knew back in the 60s, and see what they might have. But that was 60 fucking years ago, so hell, who knows.
That is because a lot of brick weed was also semi fermented a lot of the time. You gotta factor that in. Damn I could go for some 1990s Mexican Brick right now!
Dispensary weed is often rapidly dried and rushed to market often without any cure. And why would they change strategy? They make millions with people buying that stuff.

i remember hearing that they put like sugar water or something to help compress the mex dirt weed back in the 60s and 70s. By 1983 i had smoked my first green skunk bud. That was a nice one-hitter, LOL. Unlike any weed i’d smoked up to that time. I had one-hit white afghani hash that’d make you cough your brains out, but not any bud until the skunk in 83.
The dispos will not encourage any growers to be conscientious about their product. Hey, why not find a good grower, who’s not mass producing the stuff and charge double, wtf. If just once i scored some smoke from a dispo that was worth buying i’d go back and get more: “gimme s’more of that good Mex Dirt Weed, will ya, please?” But, NOOO.

Not everyone is confused. Some of us still grow “90s weed”. Some of us have one interest in weed and that’s it’s medicinal uses. Not everyone gave up good genetics for commercial strains. I’ve been wanting to trade medicinal strains for a while, no one has any, and couldn’t grow them correctly anyway. They use too much phosphorus and call it “terroir” or “pheno” or “genetical drifteometry”. It’s just shit fertilizer profile, and the required shit fertilizer bonus bottles: legal pesticides, and fake terps. Nothing mysterious about it, never has been. Faking the funk is the status quo.
If you can’t tell the difference between fart slrayy and funky weed, you probably grow bullshit because no one’s telling you why your lbs are worth less than a G. I’ll tell you. Anyone growing tennis ball weed, or thinking BT spray and sulfur burner is enhancing the skunk, is 100% unqualified and should stop.
