Only way I can sex for sure is to wait and see what the sex part will do… females of course push out some hairs… males on the other hand will push the whole pistil off the plant on it’s own little stem… once they begin to “dangle” the flower will open and pollen time.
Flipped to flower sunday as planned still only confident in two of them being female hopefully there is a couple more hiding. Number 3 I still have no guess for and all others I’m still guessing male I will post some pictures this afternoon. I have included a few other clones I had in the room to be pollinated by the afghan
That’s a male… those open into little yellow flowers
@Chronickyle
Man, I finally found this grow log. Good work, my friend. Looks like my skills need a little brushing up!!
Sure would be up for trying some of your beans sometime.
Good one @George!, but please, do tell us we have enough time to notice before they go shedding pollen around, provided we keep a close eye on them, right? Thanks.
I cull them just when I see those balls forming, no need to go further until they open , as long as you surely have previous suspicions normally you keep an eye on them .
Finding a culled and abandoned plant in your garden throwing buds to your ignorance is more depressive . Haven’t got any seed yet in my tents so at least for me it generally works as strategy …
Yup, I borrowed my expertise to someone and he never gave me it back . I would say it is a but surely later someone will say in reality it is a and my presumed expertise will be crawling in the mud …
Spots on leaf are dried water as my water here is very hard
Love your setup dude! And your plants love it too. Gorgeous green!!!
Thanks man. It is nice being back in soil again feels like how it should be. It’s been a few years since I’ve grown any cannabis in soil. Other than outdoors of course, but it’s nice being able to move everything around in my tent. Vs being locked in my other setup
Oh and I’ve included a Cindy 99 clone, blue velvet clone and strawberry banana kush clone in this room to be pollinated by the afghan when the time comes.
Sounds like my kind of growing. Watching this one.
First one looks female, like George says, 2nd two get blurry blowing them up, but 2nd pic might be male. 3rd can’t see good enough. Need a close up of just one node, usually 7 nodes up from bottom of plant.
Can’t tell about first or third (pic blurry) but 2nd looks male to me… notice the ace of spades look to the sex part (capt. hook sort of look to it )… these are all very young to be sexing for sure and would be best to wait til the sex part is more defined.
The first two pics are definitely male. Off with their heads!
I have not grown for making seeds yet so I usually cull the males too. It does seem to me that the most vigorous, healthy plants turn out to be males. My last grow I told my wife which ones would be males by seeing how well they were growing. I was correct.
I thought we were nicer people, but… Off with their heads! I’d second that!
