hey buddy, yea pistils are starting to multiply. They been stretching out the last 1 1/2-2 weeks now. That pre-flower stretch.
That tall affie will easily be more than 6’6" up to 7 ft possibly?
That tall Cherry Queen, the tall pheno will hit 7 ft tall no doubt.

They are buttoning up now.
Tall Affie gonna hit 7 ft, has now.
Lookn mid-late Oct harvest if weathr holds out. We see how they come along.
That big CQ has some leaner branches already.
Big plants like this CQ gettn top-heavy already. im in the staking mode right now. The plants’ framework is stiff and stout rite now. too stiff is as no good as not stiff enuff.
we see in 4-5 wks how it fills in @lefthandseeds

Are you concerned about branches breaking?

Something like Chemdog may be a good choice. it tends to dominate in the next gen proginy, I find. Or find polar opposites and hit em up. Good breeders just get a feeling when working a line for time.
There is no substitute for hands on work.
Good luck.

the 7 footer CQ i am. They are top heavy already w/o flowers. Stalks are stiff AF ,but have little give, which can be a negative in windy conditions. Big CQ sagging already. May need to net her up during flowering. We’ll see.

Black Affie hybrid, gonna be 7ft. filling in w/ flowers nicely.
B. Affie flower at +/- 2weeks flowering.

smaller black afghani hybrid pheno. looks identical to larger sis, only shorter. same smells on stemrub also.
The B.A. must be dominant in this hybrid, seeming as they all smell and look the same, just a matter of height.
Wont know till finish if they gonna be quite similar or not.

That’s a nice discussion regarding learning to start breeding. I remember saying on another online forum five years ago that I just couldn’t see me wanting to fool with any seed making. I was just excited to be growing good genetics after so many years away from growing. But, now, all of my grows get pollinated with something or another because I can’t throw the males away easily. I’m collecting pollen along the way but learning a lot as well.

Lots of my crosses may not know who the dad is exactly, but I mostly do. In some ways I think it might be cool to not know. Then I can just concentrate on finding good weed and not be influenced by expectations.

I have to admit though, it’s been a lot of work for just me. I have at least 4-6 males all starting to flower right now. I’m trying to get just enough pollen to make some seeds and chop them. It’s been a while now since I grew any pot that didn’t have some mystery seeds in her, lol. Soon I’ll start trying some of them. I have made on cross that was intentional that I made f2’s with so I can start playing with that one at any time. It’s addicting…

Wow! Just catching up in the thread. Great work Lefty! Its really neat to see what changes the Lebanese undergoes going from raw landrace to highly worked. My RSC Lebs had WAAAAY more useless nubs of branches that were all very very thin, but big enough to block light from reaching the interior of the plant. Extra leaves all over the place, too. Many single blade fan leaves. Perhaps I overfed them, but I’m pretty sure that’s how they look when they are unworked by Westerners. Can’t wait to see how they turned out…

Though I’d drop in to show two 8-foot LowDaks about 2-3 weeks into flower. Goob job @lefthandseeds these have kicked ass so far for me. So stoked for the harvest to come.

Really impressed with this one. It’s a great grower right up there with Northern lights. Excited to see how it finishes.
