Bodhi Plant and seed guide (Part 2)

Your F2 looks great! :yum:

I have a F1 that reduces my nerve pains. Not so much others, though. Iā€™ve never seen a Bubbashine, or an Appalachian for that matter, so Iā€™m not really sure which way she leansā€¦ other than a little to one side, so I did call her Eileen

Any idea what she was?

What, exactly, are you looking for in a male? Iā€™d really like to get this cut preggers sometime, but donā€™t have the time or space to hunt.

I hope this isnā€™t too forward, or that Iā€™m being too lazy, but when you find what youā€™re looking for, please tag me.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update. Iā€™m pleased to hear the Blue Tara may have helped your shoulder pain.

I assume the SSDD picture that I posted is one of the 10% BubbaShine phenos based on Bodhiā€™s descriptions. The larger bud phenos I assume to be the 70% hybrid pheno he describes, but I could definitely be wrong about this so grain of salt. Whatever direction your SSDD leans, it looks amazing.

bubbashine smells of hot buttered blueberry muffins and kush, grows like a big og covered in crystals, and has an amazing potent warm snuggly euphoric pain relieving effect, especially good for nerve pain.

KNOWN PHENOS: 70% hybrid pheno, bubbashine smell with bigger buds, nervous system harmonizerā€¦ 20% appalachia pheno, tangy chemy buds with dulingl warm blanket highā€¦ 10% bubba/blue moonshine pheno tighter kushy nuggy dreamy pheno

  • Tight nugs :white_check_mark:
  • Covered in frost :white_check_mark:
  • Blueberry muffin smell :white_check_mark:
  • Grows like an OG. :white_check_mark:
  • Potent warm snuggly euphoric effect / dreamy :white_check_mark:

@syzygy nailed it and I would agree that his pic is the 10% bubbashine pheno.

Without being there to smell yours and such, iā€™d also agree that yourā€™s is one of the hybrid phenos. Possibly leaning a little more towards the Appalachia just from looking at the structure, not that that means much.

As to what Iā€™m looking for, Iā€™m not positive yet. Iā€™ve only looked at F2ā€™s of this line and some random pics from people of the f1ā€™s. Just comparing against my F2 keeper and her offspring, Iā€™m specifically looking for a lemony type stem rub, sour butter blueberry kush muffin smelling balls, with some big banana style fan leaves and a lanky-ish structure. For the girls Iā€™m basically looking for the worst looking plants :joy: mutants and runts as thatā€™s kinda what blueberry is known for, which is the main component in bubbashine and likely whatā€™s bringing the pain killing effect weā€™re seeing.

From your pics, Iā€™d say I have the hybrid. I wish I knew what Bubbashine smelled like, or even Kush. Nothing I grow ever fits the smell descriptions, lol!

And Eileen thanks you for the compliment

She smells like blueberry, muffins, and kush. hot blueberry kush muffins.

The appalachia added in a sour butter smell. Hence Bodhiā€™s SSDD ā€œButterā€ cut

A guy who doesnā€™t ask for much from a plant, lol!

Too bad I wasnā€™t here before I switched to coco, you could have had your pick from any of my pathetic looking hags!

If things ever loosen up here, Iā€™m saving a couple packs to look throughā€¦ maybe smell-o-vision will be perfected by then!

It might be worth entertaining the idea that different environmental or cultural methods are causing your plants terpene expression to differ. Iā€™ve only sampled SSDD via an organic soil medium and I know that Bodhi breeds and provides his descriptions based on (organic) soil-grown plants, so that might be a variable at play here. Not trying to imply one method of growing is better, just something else to consider for why your phenotypic expressions donā€™t line up. Of course if youā€™ve run your cut in soil before then you could rule this out easily.

I prefer the smell of the chemmy rubbery SSDD phenos to the bubbashine smell personally. Also so much of this is subjective and everyones best attempt at description.

I think your right. Medium, fertilizer, environmental factors all affect the smell of everything Iā€™ve grown. With some itā€™s a small difference, with others a much larger difference

In non sealed rooms it always astounding me how the genetics express themselves.

Iā€™d be more than surprised if it didnā€™t. Terroir isnā€™t just a buzzword. I think itā€™s a huge part in why folks get different results growing pot, especially indoors.

Itā€™s one of the reasons Iā€™d like to get cuts in the hands of some mudders, or best some one who can grow outdoors.

I suck at mud, and got tired of plants that looked like they were rode hard, and put up wet. Took a lot of joy out of growing! Iā€™m sure plants can tell that, too, lol!

My comments were more to the point that Iā€™m not one to ask about smells or tastes, but I can recognize a pretty lassie when I see one

Is this MantisMedGrower? It would explain the instant hateā€¦

I had 3 packs of Soul Mate that I was excited for, but I got a case of thrips last summer. I had a dumbass family member stay at my house for a while and he liked to stick his dick in everything. I found him sleeping inside of my grow room because ā€œit had a nice A/Cā€ and this was right after we were clearing land for my greenhouse. Lesson learned, I now keep uneducated people far away from my grow. Anyways, I lost 3x Soul Mate, my other pack of Dazzleberry, and Black Raz. I cut everything down, cleaned, and popped new seeds. Itā€™s where Iā€™m at nowā€¦ Yes, Iā€™m also ā€œGround-Upā€ cannabis but after using that name for a while, it sounded too much like ā€œRound-Upā€. I told you in the other forum, but Minitiger brought it up on this thread. I donā€™t see the problem with changing the name of my company? MantisMedGrower was a local clone shop. I saw that he was offering Bodhi clones, so I jump on it and bought 12 clones. Long story short, I sent him a PM saying that his clones were not the best quality(my friends comments). He attacked me on the Bodhi thread on RIU and gave out my personal info that I gave for a job interview. 2yrs later, he is still harassing me. Sorry, I didnā€™t want to bring this up, but he attacked me in this forum yesterday and it looks like admin erased it, but I donā€™t know how many saw it. Since he pointed out that I had 2 accounts on here, Iā€™ll do the same. However, Iā€™m not using my 2nd account as a burner/sock puppet. Ground-Up cannabis made me cringe after a while because I donā€™t even spray my plants with organic pesticide(or any IPM). Iā€™m sorry that it came to this, but I feel that I had to explain my side because someone couldnā€™t let the past go. Really, I hate talking about it and Iā€™m done now. Looks like Mantis lost his license in Okla for not paying taxes(Okla Clone Co) and thatā€™s not the worst of his business decisionsā€¦

I guess that I used your comment to talk about this because you did recognize my worm bins in the organic section. Iā€™m not trying to pull one over on anyone, just hated the name ā€œGround-Upā€ for a organic cannabis farmā€¦ If I knew how to deactivate my other account, I donā€™t have a problem doing itā€¦

Pre 98 Bubba, to me smells mostly like sandalwood. With a little skunk and peanut butter mixed in. But not sweet, fruity, citrus, fuel, gas or flowery. So (non-Katsu) Bubba, Affie, La Confidential and Hindu Kush can all have this smell. And smell Kushy imho.

I never was and still am not interested in personal conflict or petty differences so Iā€™ll refrain from commenting on the majority of the post. I come here as a fan of Bodhiā€™s work and as a medicinal patient with no financial stake in any of this so any kind of drama is seen as a waste of time and energy as well as self destructive in my eyes. Everyone here at least has an interest in Bodhiā€™s genetics and Cannabis in common. I see all forms of experiences shared here as useful bits of data when researching varieties and value anyone contributing, yourself included. For what itā€™s worth from what I remember of your RIU posts they were helpful and valuable contributions to the community, hope you continue that trend here!

Old pictures of some of my favorite smelling SSDD from ~2015 or so. Very leafy and nothing special in bud structure but nice trichome coverage at least. Smells nothing like the bubbashine pheno. Will explore the F2s again someday

I would for sure buy some clones from you when they are ready. I am a brand new Bhodi fan after flowering out Silver Mnt. I want to start getting his stuff off the seed banks and trades/buy.

Yes a wine-inspired weed smell kit. Sounds great.

And i would like to fill each of these little jars w a gram of a different strain. A Sticky Sampler. A Weed Of The Day kind of thing.

Hostility is horrible. I wish it wouldnā€™t happen, just explaining my side of things. I didnā€™t understand the hostility towards me but I think that I figured it out. Different forum, same beef I guessā€¦ I would be 100% happy if this is the last time that itā€™s the last time I have to talk about this! I expected people to be excited about someone trying to preserve a strain. Iā€™m not a salesman, I leave that to my wife, but I just wanted to test the water and see if there was even a market for SSDD clones. I just felt like I was brutally attacked, but realized that someone recognized my screen name(I have use it on other social media for a while). Lemonaid Joe sent me a PM to talk to him about business, so I probably shouldnā€™t talk about either subject anymore. Sorry, Iā€™m not being rude, just expressing that I understand. I might talk with LeamonAid Joe and see what we can do about this though, I might be back with this idea laterā€¦ Sorry again for the negativity. I can cohabitate with people I donā€™t get along with, itā€™s a trait that you have to learn in the infantry.

Yes preserving SSDD is a worthy effort. Sounds like w your passion and discipline you will succeed. I sincerely wish you great luck!

Hmmm, maybe I am mantismedgrower and didnā€™t realize it, even while I was posting grow logs for years under the name minitiger and living in Los Angeles and shitā€¦ Kinda like how Ed Norton didnā€™t realize he was Tyler Durden in ā€œFight Clubā€ or somethingā€¦ You never know. I donā€™t have access to free airline tickets, though, the way Ed Norton did, so Iā€™m not sure how I could be splitting my time between Oklahoma and Los Angeles. But yeah, sure, maybe Iā€™m mantismedgrowerā€¦

Jesus, I take one day off from logging on to OG and this is the weird shit I come back to? Hahaā€¦
